as long as you not planning on leaving the tyres there to start breaking down and contaminating the earth then you fiiiine to ease the feeling at the back of your mind you might wana take a look at weed guard? that black material people lay down under stone gardens. this stuff - basically do the same as you would with the tyres, but just with this stuff. dig a hole where you gona put the plant, go down maybe 50 - 75cm, line the walls of the hole with the weed guard and leave the bottom open. fill the hole with your soil mix and done -

Hey @DamDave hope all is well that side! I just recently took my bin apart, but for the longest time I had an old compost tumbler standing here. I would dump all my spent FF soil in there with a bag of elemental blend, give it a few spins and done. Then I unload it all into a big 100L pot to stand and cook till I am ready to use it. I always test ph and ppm before using, but in your case having to mix quite a couple of big heaps right now, a setup like this will save you a ton of back ache and if you anything like me you would do anything to get around those back aches. anyway, I know you mix once off and done, but these things really are great for making compost too, you can literally do everything inside the bin and leave it be and just rotate it couple times once every week. so it's not like there's no other uses fpr this thing. here's a few examples. first one is more permanent second one is without a pole / A frame configuration and instead have the barrel rolling on wheels, with this configurarion I would just advise to avoid swivel wheels otherwise you gona have some trouble. fix wheels would work better than these trolly wheels. last one is probably the most practical and most sensible, you could do the same thing, but lay the bin horisontally to reduce impact when you roll the bin. what happens a lot with these vertical bin systems is people flipping them too fast and having the entire weight of the medium inside fall to the bottom either damaging the bin or structure. horisontal bin gives for a more even roll and spread inside the bin. just have to roll it slowly. small wooden frame. A frame would work nice aswell. a pole. and a bin. nice little backyard project that can save you tons of time and effort in the long run. if you a guy that regularly mixes soil or wana make compost -
good indoor weed usually go for around 150 to 200 a gram depending on where you are. I have heard crazy stories of 350 a gram in some places then again I have heard a guy say he doesn't pay more than 80 a gram and gets some of the best stuff it all depends on where you are and then on top of that, how much you buy, a lot of sellers have price drops for bulk sales and what not
-
@Vitki I've only come across the bud a couple times, the guy who has it is a big time blackmarket supplier and I've asked him a couple times to organize me a cut, but the answer has stayed the same over the last 2 years now. a firm "no", cause the growers are protecting the pheno. they want it to keep selling for the price it is, and the way to do that is to keep it from getting out to the general public. It was a local cross that doesn't wana reverse, many breeders have tried back crossing it, have not heard of one single person who got a S1 seed batch off it, so it's a clone only for the time being. gona have to network with a lot of blackmarket sellers and suppliers to get your hands on it.

yeah, I agree, would recommend going with the battery for your fans from the start, that way you can easily plan to make accommodation for your lights aswell. if you focus on lights and go with a special timer or even a UPS just for the light you still sit with the issue of the ventilation and you wouldn't be able to accommodate that with the UPS or special timers. battery power is the future for us here in SA, generators out of the question

veg tent got the same deep clean as I explain on my flower tent thread, next run is potted and ready to go 4 x Zweet Inzanity. my first time trying a monocrop. mind the scrog net

ya'll know what this means! Deeep cleaning tiiiime 1st take everything out the tent, dust down the passive vents on the outside where the dust collects. Remove the bug barrier from the inline fan, give it a good was with warm soap water. Remove the tent floor tray, give it a good wash with warm soapy water. Dust the inside of the tent out thoroughly. Once the tent floor tray is dry, put it back in the tent. Time to grab a few tools and take the fans apart. All plastic parts go in a nice soapy hotwater bath and gets a nice deep scrub. Fan motors, if you got a small dust blower / computor box cleaner / keyboard cleaner you can blow the dust out the fan motors. either way they will need a few drops of oil/lube. will help with longevity of your fans and save you money, time and headache. Once fans are good as new, put them back in the tent. Hopefully your bug barrier is dry by now, put it back over the inline fan intake. At this point everythings back in the tent, except for the light. This is when I switch on all the fans and I spray 3%H202 solution. I avoid spraying anywhere I can't wipe it down as the Peroxide will bleach or damage certain materials if left on there for too long. I make sure the tent walls are covered, before I close the tent I spray from the bottom upwards in the middle of the tent and aim at nothing so the fans can kinda blow it around and hopefully some of it gets sucked into the ducting. Wait about 10minutes, then wipe down the inside of the tent to avoid Peroxide damages. The light needs a good deep dusting on all corners and hard to reach places, as this is where unwanted pests will make their nests. Take a few earbuds, get in those areas, make sure theres no more dust. Hang the light back up and ready for the next run! wish the plants looked better, growth basically came to a complete stand still, they stopped feeding, soil stayed wet for a week did not like what I saw, did a runoff test, all the cheese plants had super low EC. waiting for soil to dry out so I can give them a nice elemental blend top dress with some mycos. they'll be good in no time thought they would be ready soon, but this is what you get for counting you chickens before they hatch, getting held back at least a week cause I wasn't paying close enough attention. this is how we learn previous batch hanging in the small storage wendy. we keep the wendy closed at all times so it's dark in there 24/7, only gets light when I open the door. sneaky peek at the Frenchy way at the back there

was just gona say, a timer with a battery that keeps "real time" and doesn't stop with loadshedding will solve your problem. they're available at most hardware shops and electronic shops. quite easy to come by. however, when it comes to loadshedding you don't really have to worry about light schedule. you should be worried more about PM and keeping your fans on. when all your fans go off the RH in the grow space will spike to 80 - 100% with no wind. perfect environment for PM spores to take host. especially if you got a full tent and when you're in flower it's much more risky as buds are dense and have a lot of moisture in them already. during flower you want around 30 - 40% RH, a plant can handle a little more humidity during veg, but still shouldn't be sitting in a closed tent without ventilation for anything more than 5min at a time. otherwise you testing your luck as with PM you can never be too safe. If I had to choose one thing I need to keep running through loadshedding I would rather choose my inline fan over the light. your light schedule doesn't have to be consecutive. I thought it would be much more of a problem during flower, after 5 years or so of indoor growing I haven't had a single light schedule related issue with the whole loadshedding bullshit and I have only the cheapest analogue timers that also shuts off with loadshedding.

I am not looking to mix what I spray, the way I do things has been working for me. glad you found some info on biogrow stuff. you gona be using only Biogrow products? they say you can mix their products, that doesn't mean you can mix all spray stuff all willy nilly. infact, if they say you can mix their neem with their copper soap, that doesn't mean you can mix any branded neem with any branded copper soap. they probably make their line of products so that they're compatible and synchronizable. same like with feeding, if you use BioBizz products you try to stick with BioBizz as there's a schedule. if you wana bring in a different brand of anything you have to go to the charts/schedules and check what's what so you can compensate for the new product and either give less or more of either thing.
-
for a real accurate answer you would literally have to research each product individually, get to know the active ingredients and see what and how they interact with others and see if any of the names link up to avoid all that work I would say be safe and rather do one at a time, that's how I do it and even then sometimes you can get some burn or stunting. If you're new to the whole thing I would say get used to doing regular IPM with one product, get the testy test see how it works in terms of how the plants react to it, you can add things to your IPM regime and later try to combine half doses of 2 different things and play around a little. with IPM stuff start with smaller doses and work your way up to full dose

This was a quick last minute call, had to be done, the sprayer that hooks up to the tracktor just stopped working bla bla bla ...long story short, a moerse drone was used to spray about 4ha of wheat. this was more of a selective herbicide to kill the canola in between. the chemical consultant worked out a recipe, we got all the products from PW Lanboudienste, the drone guy owns the thing himself and does up to 30ha on a day if things run smoothe so this was small job for him. the runs on batteries, it lifts up to 65kg, the tank for whatever you're spraying takes 30L. Here you can just about make out the mist it makes. the spot below it that looks like it's being pressed down is the spot being treated. takes longer for the computer to map the spray area than for it to actually spray the area. what a treat it was to watch this thing fly around! hope you all having a lekker week so far!

Gorilla Fumé, Runtz, OKCxGTH, Jedi’s Code, Florida Gaspack

oh yeah chances that it's the same Big Buddha cut could be quite high. I appreciate the offer, but still don't have any space and seeing as I have grown her before I would rather go for something new when I do have space. you gona be making any of the seed batches available at seed banks or is it all more a personal? seems like you got seeds for days..... and days..... and days! -

nice and cheesy! that big buddha cheese is real nice, hopefully it's the same pheno still doing rounds in cpt since a couple years back. I am taking my super cheese down soon, have you grown it before? mine smell like taking off your shoes after a long hot day in the sun wearing no socks, with a hint of cheese -
Skipped a week so this is 2 weeks later, things are finishing up Frenchy got the chop, filled her spot with a small flowering Zweet Inzanity I had in flower outdoors. will finish her inside, she's only around week 3.5. will raise her with a bucket later today. Frosted Apricot - last of her Blueberry Hashplant - last of her Chernobyl - kept clones Super Cheese - kept clones French Macaron - during the chop, kept clones This Frenchy plant is a reeeeaal stinker. and this is an understatement! I feel like a fat kid waiting for cake, the excitement is too much!! It's one of those smells you want in your house as a weed smoker, but anyone who comes over that doesn't smoke weed will be offended by the smell. can't stretch enough how badly this plant smells like bad body odor. you would have to explain the reason for the smell to some. Bud shots comming soon! silly me, ended the reply without showing you guys the Zweet Inzanity! here she is

Exposed to the elements
Naughty.Psychonaut replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
So I spotted 2 or 3 nanners on the Forbidos, she showed all signs of finishing up even though the buds weren't fully formed. anyway, gave her the chop, last photos before the chop the flowers turned out amazing!!! outdoor grown weed that taste better than indoor grown weed. it's a no brainer, I kept a clone for future indoor monocrop photos of the buds -
almost 2 weeks later, they got real bushy so I did a deep defoliation, I didn't like the way the net was working for now, so I raised it back up and put some clipties around the rim of the pot. they should be ready to flip in about 3 weeks.

a Different Kinda Indoor Growing 🍄
Naughty.Psychonaut replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in Indoor Growing
I would love to call it all mine, but the reality of that is quite slim. For now owning the title is the big win. In future I would remain the biggest share holder, but to expand to the point of having a couple mil in flow is gona take me alone reeeeeaally long, but luckily there are quite a few different ways to approach this thing. If you talk to the right people and create the right kinda background for yourself and you bring the most important slice of the pie to the table (the knowledge and the numbers) then you already got your foot in the door. This "green rush" is the next big thing and I couldn't count how many big time Agriculture names wana jump on this train. by the time we hear about another BIG legal grow setup it's been months and months, perhaps even a year or more of research and paperwork was done in complete silence. these guys with the deep pockets don't like to make noise. I've had a few in depth discussions with the guy I started the Protea farm for in Hermanus, he started the farm as a retirement gift to himself. Literally bought a part of a mountain right at the top, got bulldozers and rippers dropped off up there, we ripped about 9hectares of his 100+ hectares he bought. Filled it all up with King Proteas for export to Holland. He got some rreeeeeaall deep pockets and it's about to get even deeper. He's all positive when talking cannabis lisences and what not. I keep the fire alive by talking to him about it every now and then, cause that's not what he's interested in. But let me tell you what he is interested in, money him and all the others just like him... and there are sooooo many in this beautiful farm country we live in. Afriplex themselves are very interested in cannabis medicine, they already doing some CBD stuff. Got a few conversations going at the same time, one very valuable life lesson I learned through growing - plant more than one seed -

ah hahah sorry man so we still good I just know how this discussion goes from having it a million times before so I sometimes jump to conclusions, which is wrong of me, but trust me I don't mean to come across as offensive or anything but yeah stick around and show us how your grow shapes out, I am always excited about all weed things so even if I am not completely in support of what's happening I like to see and learn more from others -

His point is the same thing you said, the plant can't tell the difference if it's synthetic or organic. so if Dr. Bruce claims there is no difference, then why lean away from organics if it's JUST AS GOOD AS SYNTHETICS? that's your argument, I am just using it against you. Like I said, there are sooooooo many benefits to growing with organics besides your end results (the weed you harvest) like it or not, if you endorse a product you support it. so, why support a product that is adds to the list of bad things we do? PLUS, there are BIG differences Dr. Bruce doesn't even get close to touching on. if you think I have to watch that video to get clued up on how natures works you in for a big surprise my guy. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/331132826_The_Impact_of_Chemical_Fertilizers_on_our_Environment_and_Ecosystem https://www.420sa.co.za/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=27969 besides, if you can make the argument that the best weed you smoked was from synthetic grow, and I take your word for it cause your word is as good as mine, right? but my word is that the best weed I ever smoked was from organic grow. so what? that's not gona do anything to your judgement? -
