woooaah good golly, sooo since May 13 till today I count as 49 days, it took you a month and 10 days to fill up a 1.2 x 1.2 tent with 5 plants in 15L pots? I get that clones take about 2/3 weeks shorter veg time than growing from seed, but this is impressive! plants are looking damn good too!

another cool thing bout Blue labs, they switch off by themself. when they read and the value still changes it will stay on, but if it was at a constant value for longer than 1min or so it shuts itself off. I also got those drops, they work fine and will help you for sure when I got oily/sugary substance such as molasses in the water I don't like to use my blue labs pen, don't wana risk any film build up on the glass probe, even though I keep it extra clean with fresh tap water and fresh storage solution after every 3 uses I just don't wana risk any harm to the pen, make it last a lifetime
-
yeah. I think you got the best one made yet brother hahahah batista, if you wana get another yelllw one I would say research and find atleast 10 or so guys who have used the yellow one and get their opinion. I am certain you'll find that a healthy percentage of the people who have them have thrown one away, it's simple, look at the price and tell me those will last forever and I will ask you why we all don't have a cheapy. answer will come back, because they cheap and don't last.

as of yet I do not have a tank, when I expect rain I put buckets down all around the house, old schoooool style! so I don't let it stand, collect and 24hrs later should be used and rest goes to under roof garden. got corrigated zinc sheets on the roof, clean gutters all around, but still interested in the ph and ppm. got a few buckets collected, will do the tests tonight

did you mean in the screen of the thing? so the enclosed motherboard area got water in? the potassium chloride the trooper is refering to is the probe liquid, it needs to be kept wet at all times. those yellow cheapies don't last long, heard only about 6 months if looked after it properly and calibrated each month. after the 6th month it wont calibrate correctly anymore. your situation seems like it might have been dropped in water or you submersed more than just the tip and water got into the body of the pen? my blue labs equipment is all submersable and waterproof, if you buying a new one I would like to recommend to look at the blue labs one. if you thinking bout sticking to growing any kinda plants I would suggest getting a pen that will last you forever and it stays accurate aslong as you calibrate it.

uh oh, I been giving rain water a couple times now all willy nilly, haven't checked its ph at all. it wouldn't hurt the probes? I read that I should only be reading tap water, no filtered water or RO water, can't remember if it said anything bout rain, but I been using it only on tap water as I know that's safe. it may even be that the rainwater has a high ppm too then flushing with it may also cause more harm?

oh yeah, ahead of budget is always a good feeling! nice one man! what size is it? 15cm looks like you gona have to make sure the end of that duct is completely out of that room, I assume it's a 10m length? have it go out the room and around a bend, remember the co2 will travel upwards so ducting pushing co2 always perform better when going up and never down, especially if it's such a long way to go like you got there and every bend will decrease airflow so keep all these small things in mind. if the end of your duct is close to the end of the room you might have a problem with that air just coming back to your room. with tent guys we always gotta exhaust to another room or preferebly outside, because if that air goes in the room your tent is in it will just suck in the same air again and again and essentially same with your situation. but yeah, you heading the right direction brother Next on your shopping list is probably a tent? maybe some more material pots also and then gona build a 10k worth LED setup for 4K from local aluminium and digikey imports.

ECOSIA, they plant trees for every few thousand searches if they really do or not I don't know, but what I also like is the suggestions is not like google shoving useless negative info down my throat and pouring stress down on me, instead it shows me crazy accomplishments in the nature department all over the world. you can also keep track of the amount of trees planted by your searches, it's my default browser everywhere.

7m is deeep woah, I would say you getting co2 build up there, to take the guessing out the game you can ask around you for someone with a co2 reader... I would say to know that conditions are optimal your best bet would be to get a tent with all the right equipment, that will certainly improve your conditions without doing any testing and playing around. Start off by letting your medium dry out between waterings. lifting the pot to feel if it needs water should be fine for you. we got 40L pots tucked away under a massive cannopy and scrognet behind other plants, and we still gotta lift our pots every now and then to test when to water. specially now with the rain and extra high RH and pots taking forever to dry out, for you to lift your pot should be no trouble at all. I agree with batista, look at the earlier pics of the white stones, even the ones that aren't covered in dirt are less white now. perhaps do a runoff test by testing what you put in, water till first runoff and read that. I would say ph and ppm, whatever those stones might be treated with could carry undesirable compounds. do you know the ph of the water you're giving? I know they say not to worry bout ph in organic grows, but my tap water sits pretty at 9.8ph and this has caused me problems in the past. now the light, to get the most out of it you gona have to provide reflective walls and because it's such a little light you gona have to bring those reflective walls right up to the side of the plants so you really get some penetration from the sides and bottom. preferebly from all sides. this brings me back to getting a tent.

I will add to that maybe a nice strong metal floor standing fan to get a draft going. Do you close the corridor off? Do you have a fresh air exchange set in place? Any inline fans bringing fresh air in or taking old air away?
-
wait, @Pants bud you got that grow area that's like a closed off corridor vibe? a dead end hallway? am I correct? if so how deep is that thing? I have to say the high RH, low air circulation is a bad mix. If it's a long/deep room, more than 2m deep you will have to make like us tent growers and exhaust that air back there. the wind that blows by or that one oscilating fan will not do the job and air will become stagnant and CO2 will build up to undesirable levels and basically choke your plants. suffocating them by the leaves aswell as suffocating them by the roots will have them standing still before looking into a new light. concider some material pots. perfect for soil growers like us. even more perfect for people with high RH.

I have also heard some defficiencies will cause purple pigments to appear, at the end of the day you will find that a certain factor of stress is what causes the reaction in the plant. if it's bread into the genetic, that might just mean that the genetic carries stress and the reaction of the purple pigmentation to show up is easily provoked cause you got a gene that goes into stress easily. so just cause it's genetic doesn't mean it's better, or good persay this is why my purple banana also has "the purple taste" -

hahahah yeah no just kidding bout the frostbite cause humans also go purple/black when introduced to cold conditions outside of our favourabilities, it's a shit joke haha I have not read up about it, but what you are saying makes sence and just naturally I would assume that it would also have impact on the terpenes, and this would change the overall smell and taste of the buds aswell... -

the wierd thing is, back in about 2009 I got my hands on my first purple bud. this was an memorable moment as I still remember the way it looked and smelled. everything that was good back then was called "Skunk" and there was a few purple buds amongst some skunk buds we got. didn't even look the best, nothing compared to the stuff we get these days, but tasted like grape candy and really packed a punch that was just... different.... maybe I built a tolerance and gained a more acquired taste over the years, like we all do, but without a doubt the hype around the purple weed back then was backed by my first impression and then got watered down over the years. was it perhaps only my perception that has changed -

damn, like frostbite for plants luckily this one must be genetics as like I said she will purple up no matter the conditions. none of the other plants are turning so I am very happy. will select against purple going forward -

it is almost as if it's the purple specifically. had a bunch slurricane buds took me looooong to smoke cause I didn't like it, made me not understand the hype around the genetic, untill I had some green slurricane. big difference. the banana seems to go purple even when grown in the summer winelands sun, some days go up to 43°C, she still pushes the purps. luckily she is frosty as hell close to pure indica so she lays you down gently and that is what I like about her. she also got her space in my next run, but that will be the last of her. getting rid of her literally because of the purple. -
I may have it wrong, taking a closer look at those stones they might just be white stones. but check them so they are untreated for sure. but still retaining moisture shouldn't be a worry you growing organic? how often you watering/feeding?

Thanks man! I have grown the banana a couple times before so I have to say I am more excited for the Super Lemon OG, although the banana is amazing aswell! I can remember smoking something with a heavy citrus taste to it, smell of the smoke was like a bergamot perfume, so I been trying to find something with lemon in the name. the Zkittles seeds I got for next to nothing, a sealed pack of 10 from Bulk Seed Bank so just filled the space with that, but pretty excited bout that too!! -
hey bud, I have to put in my here don't make any conclusions, look what my 50w flood light did for me. the brand I used and still use is "light works" and it also makes use of low end diodes probably osram or some generic light company, so if my light was able to do that for me I struggle to believe it's solely your light that is to blame. research to find some grows done with similar lights, look at the setups and read about the conditions and way the plants where treated and all that I believe the fact that I had an enclosed box with proper FAE to reduce plant stress and reflective walls to help the light and all these little small things, material pots for roots to breathe as the LED does not help to dry out the medium like HID, it all factored into the way the plants responded. I also would advise againt putting those white pebbles in the pot, you need the medium to dry out asap and trying to retain moisture should be last of our concerns this time of year. I am not sure about the following, but those pebbles might leach some minerals into your soil. If you have those white stones in your garden you'll see them change colour over time and they leave white paint or some kinda powder on the soil, that's bound to be not good for your plants. I used to sell plants at a nursery just coming out of school, we had to make new displays each week and we use whatever we have in the shop as to advertise what we have. so some would make veggie stands/gardens and almost every single time, the plants with the decorative stones would not grow well. if you wana decorate with stones, use something as close to natural and untreated that you can find. if you wana retain moisture in summer use a mulch like fine alfalfa with DE mixed in, any kinda fine hay will do. NOT wood bark cause they bring diseases and insect larvae.

Day 48 The Banana turned purple overnight, no surprise there, not really a fan of the purple anymore From here 5 weeks max, 4 weeks minimum. Either way 2 weeks from now will stop feed to save on nutes and time, will then start looking at the trichomes and decide when to stop watering from then give it another week with no water to let the medium dry out. Might do 48hrs dark before chop, will see how I feel. might have to harvest at different times. Zkittle Super Lemon OG Banana Hammock upskirt photo Veg -
ooof.... that way you gona get 20g per plant.... you will need to double space, max out the room, bud sights from corner to corner, if you wana aim for 800g
-
that fan is not gona do the job brother. you will also have major light leak and this will be a problem come flower time. you will need something that's made for the job. your extraction fans should run 24/7, both in and out. any stagnant air is breeding grounds for diseases, constant moving fresh air is what we aiming for. like outside
-
you also have to replace bulbs and ballasts too, loose light intensity after first grow... pffs I thank the higher power every day I started growing after the age of the HID, seems like a headache to work with compared to the LEDs. I would highly suggest LED over HID, specially with the modern tech we have.
-
You can achieve 800g by doubling your space, or more even, but then you gotta go toward 1000 True Watts. also double pot size. 20L minimum and GGG refered to airflow, you gona need 3 or 4 circulation fans in that space and a 15cm inline fan for extraction, could go bigger (20cm) then run it on low and have the fan last twice as long.
-
what's up! @Wayne502 4x4x6 what? meters or foot? with a 1000w HID I sure hope it's not foot, or you gona make toast. struggling to think that it's meters cause a 6m high room is a bit much also the DIY option you got in mind will not help you. you gona create fog with ice and a fan, that will damage the light if it blows through it. also you gona need a TON of ice and legwork to keep the ice icey, so much so that it will quickly become impractical. are these the resources you have to work with or are you looking at what to get?
