Potency, like Terps, are genetics. You make it as cozy for the plant as she likes it most, she will reward you. You can be a grow guru and still not be able to turn shit into gold... the breeders give you potency level indications. GSC is in general given as 18% THC content... we even reached on one batch 18.6%. So there is also a little space upwards. Also to mention, the average potency test result in SA is 12%... what brings most people back to reality rather fast. Growing weed is one thing.. growing really potent weed needs perfection in every way. My preferred weed.. Gelato.. gets set by the Breeder at 26%.. I haven't reached that even close. 19isch I get, but 26 i am very far out.. but I creep slowly up in potency too.. learning the strain takes time. Next factor of potency is how you dry, cure and store it. Wrong way and you reduce potency. So to make it short, if you keep all parameters from Germination, Veg, Flower, Harvest, Dry procedure, Curing procedure and Storage in the green areas.. you will get rewarded with the potency the plants genetics have to offer. Anything else.. Veg to dry, flower to wet, Temps out of range (18-25 i see as sweet spot range), dry climate off, cure humidity to low or to high, ... any pest hindering the plants development, any feeding lockout or deficiency, light strength, leaf sugar content.. every factor will reduce a bit potency from the max to reach. You want max potency weed, you have to be perfect yourself.

At least are all regular seeds in that shop... what inceases the interest right away. Nothing genetically changed... easy to make your own seeds... then you can hunt phenos as long as you are in the mood. But picture this... you buy those 19k seeds and customs confiscate them. Right now... not importing seeds myself... lost to much cash. And now even Germany goes to legalize cannabis. The SA government will waste that much time, the rest of the world will have legalized it, till they manage to do their job here. And the advantages for early implementation are gone. Last draft from 2020 said they have to do the work, which should have been done in November 2020, in 2023. And honestly, if they dont implement it this time legal home growing, i will sue the SA government for not doing their job. Somebody just reminded me that we are load shedding for 12 years now... is that right??

I am very much convinced came from the soil. The house isn't new to growing and also never had any pest issues. All in the tent was brand new.. and i really mean bought for that run. Is what soils can bring you.. issues. when you do small batches, you lose small or see it early to contain it. With bigger batches you run into a issue what ever you do once a problem is out, can only contain it issue. You just can't watch all plants the same way..

Got the WW's hanging.. things got way more complicated with stage 6... and i mean a lot more complicated The light is one thing to go off for 4 hours and longer.. but manageable. The missing ventilation is the real killer. There is no cheap solution to it.. your ventilation goes off for 4 hours to vent your tent and mold as other pests become an issue. I had to work daily on that tent to keep things in order. WW's hanging.. I do not run a carbon filter for the dry tent, I have a ozone generator running inside. Kills the smell and keeps things clean. Blue dream's are rather over time but also start to get blue ^^ Soooo... not done but I can do a quick recap.. Pots made my life very hard.. the wrong gear alone can add 50% extra time. Stupid, stupid, STUPID! Then... yes, commercial grows you do in HYDRO ^^ i wouldn't call it a commercial grow what I did, i just went to the max grow space can take.. and that is a bit the commercial approach. I grew for the last 3 years and the only issue i ever had to face was PM. This time I used the same setup.. except the stupid pots ^^ So new Tent, new Lights, new Pots, new carbon filter.. feminized seeds and FF Premium Classic soil.. all new fresh bags. Had Thrips and Spider Mites on some plants.. removed the whole plants once saw it. So lost a few... only option.. really, only option, came in over the soil. The rest was as squeaky clean as it could have been. Is the one bag that can give you huge hassle. I think into building me a hydro setup for the 2.4x2.4 and try that again with chemical feeding.

Which doffus told you to use Up or Down on your organic feeding? You turn it into chemical feeding with a single drop of those chemicals. Use biological Up/ Down, like Lemon juice/vinegar and liquid lime stone. But once more, if you run organic in soil, you can skip the pH hassle, not needed at all. As long as you use rain water, you are good. Moment you use tap water, you run chemical again.

Getting there even with Stage 6

You don't get much information from just one seed of a strain. Except the strain is mega stable and has no pheno swings inside you get a very limited view of the strain. And to Nirvana, if you buy a pack of.. isn't it usually 5?.. you get one free seed (they usually offer feminized freebees, you say in the offer to please send you a auto freebee and they will change) and any seed not sprouting, you contact Jenna and she will replace it. Service at Nirvana SA is second to none.

Eskom stage 6.. and bad weather on the horizon ^^ How many in here hate Eskom? I am such a lucky guy that my tent is soon done and I can shut down. Starting to harvest the White Widows today.. take down step by step and hang in the dry tent. Day 6 of Week 12.. more or less on time as expected.. rest is far over the time given by the breeder. One of the WW Auto's was a photo.. I kept her and see how fast she flowers. If the auto fast flower got stuck, might keep her.

Where you get your pots? ^^ How does the bottom look? I have to replace mine.. just watered the plants and was mostly cursing about the silly run off i have. With what do you spray your tent after pollination phase to kill all the male pollen still inside the tent?

from the WW's nothing.. the Blue Dream, Blue Cheese and GSC i cleaned about 20-25 cm of the bottom part. They all hover around 75-120 cm now.

And to keep a bit track... today is the first day of week 11. So 71 days passed since the seeds got dropped into water. Only Auto Strain I found so far actually doing its thing under 9 weeks are the Gelato's from 42FastBuds. The Nirvana plants are all off beside the White Widows, set with 11-12 weeks, they have a good chance to finish end week 12. Blue Cheese, Blue Dream and GSC will all take a few weeks longer as Nirvana states on their website. The Blue Dream a good 4 weeks longer as they say, also had 2 Hermis in that batch, I would say was genetic as they pushed flowers like a proper male, not just at certain branches.

Was busy with the tent, so i made some pictures ^^ so far all manageable.. but fucks up my back Nirvana seem to have a special so I create the links to their page if interested White Widow's still strong flowering but the end is also coming.. 1-3 weeks out (some phenos are clearly faster done). Blue Dream's (not on sale) are starting to also do their thing.. still far out, 3-4 weeks. Blue Cheese now the tallest plants (one ^^), same as the Blue Dream, 3-4 weeks out. The WW's are very sexy for a crowded tent grow (25 per 1.2x1.2 rather easy). I would space the GSC, Blue Dream and Blue Cheese a bit more... 16 per 1.2x1.2 the next time I should do something like that ^^ and if you want to try.. think into your climate control first.. really.. do that before you plant the seeds ^^ you need a lot of air shifting inside that growth. Thought I responded to this one in the morning.. joint and feeding the plants must have come in between I would put a bag back in if I do not trust the jar for some reason.. usually i replace the jar (very hot soap water in the jar and shake it.. gets wet outside, not sealed), leave the bag for 2 weeks and take it out again. My bags are usually all together in one glass to even out after use.

Have to make this very short post in regards to pH and soil.. found it in the Royal Queen Seeds blog Go Organic and Forget About Measuring pH Isn't part of the hydro setup you run.. but Royal Queen Seeds trust that sentence that much, they put it in bold inside their pH advice. Hydro you always have to measure... no way around. Soil for home growers, Hydro for commercial production.. and the Coco dudes lost in between both worlds is about how i see it.

Forgot to mention.. smell is also up.. so the carbon air filters came into play. I run 3 of them... you understand, Neo, there is no smell Exits go into the kitchen.. had a cozy 18 degrees inside the house when i woke up. At least I don't need fire wood this winter.
