Uhh.. that plant is hanging Can make you a picture once dried. Also went to builders and looked for inspiration for screens. I hate nets.. I like to be able to move pots and reorganize. With a net, that is not possible after some stage. So I decided to make a screen for each pot.. that is what I found and came up with, I give it a try.. will make different sizes for 22 and 40 pots. A screen for each pot.. Goal is a 16 cola plant with a dead flat canape. Lets see ^^

I do not see any "health" advantage.. bio or chemical. The main fact is, not good to burn anything and inhale it. your lungs work best with clean fresh air. No other method grows as fast as hydro. Commercial setups all run hydro to my knowing. Hydro just needs most knowledge to run it smooth, things need to be always in the green area. But we are home growers... we use a bit what we like. When i bought the first tent in SA, i was very determined to go hydro... that is what i used to run. Bought already the hoses and valves... and then i get told. Go soil As the guy knows what he is talking about, no arguement from my side. Would be a bit like argueing with a alien about interstellar space travel. So ended with soil... but... if the law goes legal.. the grow setups for the coffee shop, will be hydro. Just easier for mass production. I like the simplicity of soil, organic fertilizer and rain water. No other real reason otherwise. Grow how you enjoy... in general, people enjoy something, ends nice If you want to know what is in your weed... send it to a lab. They do all from potency to heavy metal content.. And if you are not happy with your grow results... why not try one of the others methods.. might suit you more.. can end way better as before.

Took this one a bit more early.. I need a morning smoke not making me go back to bed isn't helping with getting things done.

@Stinger96 Happy you got rid of your PM issue I gave a spray last Wednesday... just to be sure weather bad right now. aren't we here to help each other? Love those mold eating killer bacteria

I used pure chemical fertilizers in my first indoor setup, hydro... and today i am growing in soil with organics. Use what you enjoy using, I dont think there is a right or wrong. Both bring results, if used correctly. And not that i went organic out of experience, asked a guy, who knows how to grow, what to use. Use A if you find, otherwise look for B couldnt find A, went for B. Results to my liking, sticked with it. And B was the BioBizz range... A was Plagron. He suggested soil as more tasty... and that is a bit opinion based.. but i enjoy not to Ph at all.

Wups.. forgot.. the "Ruderalis" I call it "what ever". Bought some fake seeds for sure. The other plant is already compost heap ^^ didn't found a single seed inside.. was outside since beginning Jan.. weird plants

All running rather smooth at the moment.. dropping temps have advantages.. and disadvantages should have space in the 18/6 for the competition seeds. Will take a good chunk out next week to go 12/12. Gelato Pineapple Express Delux Sugarcane 18/6 tent And making more clones ^^

Weather in CT is rather humid.. so watch your dark times, boys and girls! Mold is on the lurk.

Ash and coal in the mountain area (Cape Town)
Prom replied to Stefan's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
Not to my knowing. Ash is rather dry and the fire sterilized all... elements more broken down, easier to absorb... good fertilizer. I dump all my wood ash on the compost heap -

If you braai with wood... or in winter heat... no need to drive around for wood ash -
I would wait a bit more ^^ how hard are those buds?

Website states this for your light: 1000mm Saturn Parabola 90W 13200 lumens 188 μmols (92W with Far Red Engaged) 90W for the 1 meter lamp without IR and 92 Watt with IR.. so 2 watt goes into the IR... and then your sticker has 15% higher numbers as the website.. 110 watt with IR. So which one are correct? Also can add.. I got no response over the contact i filled in yesterday, asking for a manual and hanging distances for the comet lamps. I check the clip you posted in the afternoon.. I have some cloning and repotting to do this morning. And with 188 micromol output.. I don't expect a lot of heat.. just very surprised how much electricity it consumes to create that little PAR light. 110 watt for 188 micromol is in no relation to my TS3000 lamps, consuming 450 watt and releasing at 30cm 1300 micromol PAR light. Those lamps you can use for sure on all stages. As said.. the numbers I get on your lamp don't make sense so far.

Freezing will dry up the weed, if you do not put it in a vacuum tight container. Sublimation will always go till the air around is saturated, max it can take on. As storing weed longterm in freezers is common practice... works if done correctly... i never heard it improves the taste, what is a interesting point. As said, willed to test it, as i never tried it nothing wrong with more taste. Question is, how much is such a freezer?

I am rather curious how the light does perform.. I had a quick check on their website and asked if I can get a manual 4k is the price, 1000mm version.. sorry, I rounded the few bugs up hehehe 188 micromol at what distance? if that is just on exit ^^ the light is usable for germination... and that is it... as you want around 400-600 micromol in veg alone.. that light would not cut it by their own provided information. Very curious what the manual will say. I couldn't find on their websites product description what diodes they use, seems to be not a relevant information to sell a grow light. I put 2 copy pastes below.. those numbers somehow bite each other... or we talk salad and not cannabis. 188 micromol is very low as output. 1000mm Saturn Parabola 90W 13200 lumens 188 μmols (92W with Far Red Engaged) The Comet series is both suitable for vegetative and flowering growth (with the inclusion of Far-Red chips).

you have a link to one of those? ^^

high temperature does accelerate drying (you should avoid all over 26, same rule as for flower. I prefer to dry at 20).. but the main component is RH. if you can keep that at 60%, things will end good. If your RH goes below 50%, you are toasting your weed and curing will stop when to dry, till you have moisture levels back into range again, 58-68%, sweet spot is 60-65%.. I aim for 62% (Boveda bags ^^). If climate goes to dry, I put buckets of water with cotton cloth hanging in the buckets to accelerate vaporization or in the dry tent i fill the floor with water (tray) and let ventilation run on humidity control alone. needs not much air flow. "Forgot ^^ and over 68% you will have mold forming.. very clear no go zone.. let those dehumidifiers run!!" My own drying procedure is rather simple. First day I like it a bit more dry, 50% RH. Second day I try to set it at 60% and then take plants depending how heavy they are. Anything dry before 5 days passed.. I kinda failed. Anything later.. better job done. I hang whole plants or put buds on dry racks.. depending on the climate. When it is rather humid, I dress the buds for racks to dry on. If more dry, I hang whole plants to slow down drying process with more moisture to get rid off. Racks I usually use in combination with a dehumidifier. So we really talk wet humid climate. The better you do your drying and curing, the better the result.. but just the procedure will not turn bad weed to good weed.. genetics always rule ^^

I will give it a try.. next batch of harvest I let a plant go freezer and see And a word to water curing... if you have a light moldy batch, this can save the smoke, not the taste. As much as I agree that water curing provides a very smooth smoke in a week.. it also kills all tastes and flavors you had in there.. really.. dump it before you water cure.. or you are very very desperate to just smoke something
-
Curing is based on friction, humidity, light and temperature. If you go to dry, your weed will not cure anymore.. how you know when you are done? curing happens when you have enough water still present.. but not enough to let mold form.. the mold not stopping the curing.. but hinders you from smoking it. I had a quick read.. you find all from: makes weed taste better to.. makes it taste like hay. Only way I see to not mess things up. Balance to 62%, put in a vacuum tight container and then freeze it to store... but why pump energy in something that isn't really needed? I cure with bags and have humidity sensors inside the jar. If your bags get crystalline from remoistening dryer batches, just put em in a empty jar with a wet cotton ball. Boveda bags you can use till they hit mold.. then I would dump the bag. A very full bag is also not reducing humidity anymore.. can use those bags also to get more moisture in a dry bag. Once a jar is on 62% for 2 weeks, I take out the bag(s) and sensor and clean lid and top to have a very air tight closure. Then store in a new, unused fridge.. I just don't have on power ^^ dark, air tight and the plastic they use is usually microbe resistant, plus keep temp quite constant inside. The sensors tell you if you are in the green.. over 68% you take the weed out and put it back on a drying frame for 12 hours.. then check again. Let the jars rest for 24 hours before you take the reading.. takes a bit to even out moisture.

You can use dry ice to get to the same result. Very fast dry buds ^^ But still, only do it on "dry" days.. as soon as you take the cold buds out in very humid days, will condensate back on the buds very fast. What you mean with: Third week, take it out an hour before returning it to the freezer? What would be the advantage? I use dry ice to make hash.. but I prefer my weed to dry as slow as possible, if I want to smoke the buds.

If you think is worth my time.. yes, please HSO is nothing to over look.. and their Diesel is in general more top range.

144 diodes on 110 Watts? How comes my QBs have 288 diodes and draw 120 watt??? How hot do those diodes get? How much you paid for the light? What numbers you got to hang that light in Germ, Veg and Flower? I have rather big issues to put your numbers together to make sense.. the paint job would have made me send it back. If you can't use a brush, at least use a spray can I see your other lights have cooling integrated.. where does this light get cooling from? I just see a flat case, no ribs or active ventilation inside the lamp, closed case.. weird! Addon Friends bar lamp setup is 5 bars of 120 watts each (600 watt total on a dimmer)... I would prefer that over your setup for a 1.2x1.2 area.. better light spread.

Hi guys You have something in your tent you want to share? I have my Gelato clones ready to trade ^^ Orange Sherbet x Thin Mint Cookie, heavy swing to the cookie, outdoor plant got measured at 17%, I can give you the indoor terpene profile and potency results from Qure, once I have them. Looking for: Wedding Cake (good one ^^) Silver Lemon Haze (or anything in the same direction) A proper Diesel (Sour Diesel, NYC Diesel, Chiesel, Jack Diesel or Cannatonic) Specific fruity smokes. Not sweet.. clear taste of fruit (Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango, Grapefruit, Cherry, Raspberry, Banana,...) Cheese.. not Blue Cheese ^^ I sit in Blouberg, drop me a PM if interested to trade.

Outdoor camping store.. way cheaper as the bubble hash machine... and I think is the same.. you just get no 220 mircon bag with the machine..
