  1. I put mine for 2 hours in a 60 degree oven.. usually after 1 hour it stops to bubble. They can do extracts with the machine too.. I will meet the guy and test my extracts too. Then I can tell you how pure they are. Will also send a batch to Qure and see if they get the same result with the bigger gear Confirmation is sexy ^^ Pressing is nice, but you leave also a lot behind in the material. I prefer to wash the material for eating or medical application ^^ try to get all out. If you bubble before you press.. yes, makes very much sense.. but you also need the gear to bubble. Butane extraction is the class cone (400 Rand) (around 50g material per wash), a coffee filter (you get a hundred for 25 Rand), a stainless steal icing sif at PnP or Checkers (30 Rand) (you still have to cut it in shape for your cone). I recommend a non stick plate to collect and put in the oven (200-300 rand) and the Butan gas from the shop, depending how much you have to wash (1 kg of bush weed (the seedy shit you get at the robots ) I wash with 16 cans). Check to have the temp around 65-70 degrees in the oven (digital one helps).. just wait till it stops to bubble, then wait another hour. Yes, you can vacuum it.. I use a clothing bag and a bucket with a lid and a hole.. but.. I stopped doing that.. if something boils at -3 and is for 2 hours in 60 degrees.. is just gone ^^ and the extra clean Newport gas leaves ZERO solvents back. We sprayed a full can on a plate and let it evaporate. Plate was clean after. Just use the right gear and you get a very clean extract. We press too ^^ have a sexy 10T press.. but.. that is more for dabing/vaporizer. The stuff I wash is purely for eating or make CBD capsules for medication. Gets lab tested anyhow, or I couldn't measure the dosage to inject in the capsules, so I try to get the last bit out of the material... nothing against pressing but to much waste to my liking. And pressing and then wash the rest is just one step to many ^^
  2. Pictures ^^ just made a few.. so lets show some fuck ups ^^ The Pineapple took the burn with quite some dignity I take those down in 3 days I didn't defoil anything.. after the burn, was a none effort grow.. I just gave them pure water till finish.. with a bit of Top Max to make em use the resources faster, had enough in that soil hehehe Ruderalis, tent was dark, so I only took a "future" male out.. by the growing structure, I would say is a male. Took 30 seconds to make the picture and the sun was early morning, no risk to stress them, but I prefer not to disturb their dark phase. And the Charlotte's Webs Regulars, male and a female..
  3. Nice to have you back Sexy result with the single auto.. 9g better as my best result so far.. but 55g short of the record of a friend for his best yielding auto, 201g dry. Keep it coming!
  4. Uhhhh alcohol is one of the worst to extract, as you rinse the chlorophyll out too. If you use alcohol, at least use petrol ether. You just have to be super careful, has a flame point of 21 degrees. Would use a Soxhlet for that. The most easiest washing... still comes with a good risk to blow yourself up ^^ is HBO washing.. butane gas is my preferred extractor method and way cheaper gear to do it as with a alcohol setup.. plus as pure as you can get it. Butane boils at -3 degrees, so very easy to get your extractor solution clean clean. You can buy extra clean Newport Gas at any tobacco shop.
  5. expert grower my ass! Hehehehe average.. I am a average grower with a bit of experience. Also have to say.. I think the moderators of the board do a very good job, see zero reason why I should have some 'role' here. Beside my English is just not up to the task. Best advice I can give.. enjoy what you do and it will always end well. Have a sexy weekend folks!
  6. Just had Santa swing by he always does a stop over for a puff puff pass. #4 xmas in a cabinet
  7. The point of a diary is not to brag.. OK.. yes, also to brag BUT... a beginner diary and you had issues before, will help you improve, as it is a lot easier to give accurate advice, when we see more detailed, what you did. I encourage every new grower to run a as detailed diary as they can.. and there are enough competent people on the board to point you already to possible issues... before they even happen. If you still run into trouble, way easier to figure out what happened with a diary.. we learn from mistakes, don't be afraid to make some.. or you miss out I just burned 25 seedlings.. rather bad ^^ fuck ups will happen, doesn't matter if you just start or grow for 30 years. And that is a bit the fun part.. or after 30 years it would be boring as hell ... and it isn't
  8. All a bit bigger now ^^ .. quite bigger actually. Very much time for a update. I hand in some pictures as soon as I get the time. Ruderalis growing nice and as slow as expected but plant structure looks good. (used fresh soil, lucky me) The soil I cooked was waaaaaaaaaay to hot old man screwed up some of his head calculations by the factor 10.. rounded wrong. Teaches you.. use a freakin calculator. So everything is on flush for 4 weeks now and came back rather sexy. I never ever in my growing life burned plants as bad. Wasn't the nicest picture and I got questioned even more, because I didn't ripped all out and started fresh. (I hate ripping out plants hehehe I always have a little mutant growing somewhere) Now I had a mutant farm but... they still formed buds all starting to hang a bit side ways. The Gelato got hit the worst.. they do not like over fertilizing at all. The Pineapple Express took it rather well. They can realllllly take some The Gelato did his time frame, even it got really pissed off by me. I was a bit busy with other stuff and forgot a bit about the time frame.. was on flush anyhow hehehe no nuts for 4 weeks. Gave a bit TopMax. It was a bit of a face palm moment, when I realized, I haven't checked the Gelato once with some magnifiers. My work sheet said, end week 9 is hit 6th December, and we had the 7th. First plant I checked smiled at me with 100% amber sugar leaves. Rest was also to my liking.. snip snip. Hanging to try for day 4 now. Fastbuds say is 9 weeks.. ^^ I would say 10% was week 8 day 1. Like the last Gelato I harvested after 8 weeks and 4 days. Very much on time. The Pineapple is set with 10 weeks... not sure it will make it to 50% in that time, but have 3 plants just oozing with Pineapple smell.. hope they taste like they smell The Charlotte's Web are also back to happiness and they swing some Indica genes ^^ those leaves don't lie. The Gelato Photos went into a growing competition and left the CW's faaaaaaar behind. Thank god for my light setup, difference in canape is nasty. Also repotted the CW's and Gelato's in 22 liter fabric pots. I get 16 of those easy in a 1.2x1.2 might try a run with those and see how much yield per sqm I get. The smell of the Gelato hanging.. this heavy sweetish chemical smell. Smells exactly like the batch I had before. Can't wait As the seeds are from the same batch.. Auto and Photo plants, I want to actually check potency of both once done. I still think you get more potency into a auto, due to more light you can pump in. But wishful thinking and reality usually wear two pair of different socks The lab will settle this dispute and as the photos came from the batch of autos.. this is a fair compare in my books. Lets see.. my Bubblelicious were flowering for 10 weeks.. on 20/4.. that is like nearly 17 weeks to flower for a photo to get the same energy input. The Gelato with 8 weeks is a fast one.. very curious. I give a little disadvantage to the auto even, by using a very fast one. Sooooo, very curious if the potency of the photo will match the auto. I know the Bubblelicious and mixing it with alcohol is a very bad idea, if you are not used to smoking. Hehehe had some complains about the strength Will visit the Futurama store on the 16th and get my batches tested.. curious what they will tell. The Photo Gelato will take a bit longer.. as I have 4 plants, I want to quickly clone a batch and see if I get taste difference. If I get a nice one, I will throw a batch of free clones to some Capetonians interested. Sharing is caring Short ADDON.. I look for a G28 / Jet Fuel photo ... somebody has and willed to see what we swap?
  9. Mhhhh first needs to pass senate. And the republicans will not pass it... if the 2 guys in gorgia, Ossoff and Warnock, should win... then there is a chance to pass it. No clue where we stand here.
  10. I have Ruderalis Indica growing.. but you can't expect monsters from basic ruderalis, those are survival specialists not yielders. I run them for male pollen and a batch of fresh seeds. Very solid plants and for the week of grow time.. smaller side. I just use them as timers to turn photos into autos. not sure you want to extract them, can't be on the potent side, not "their" thing in free nature. At least to my understanding.. If you want a special effect, go for the special CBD plant.. Pain, check for a Harlequin, Insomnia, look for a Wild Fire 47 or epileptic episodes, Charlotte's Web... extract those or what ever plant you need. People invested time into those. The cool thing on the ruderalis is not the effect on the body. Why so famous, is the canceling of the photo effect on the plant, light duration has no effect on flowering time anymore. I feed them a LOT less ^^ main difference
  11. Nice fan, but you still need 2... one in, one out. I have a 150 3 speed version on my 1.2x1.2 running lowest speed, is very silent, i give em that
  12. Lights- @Light It Up 2x 240w Qb soooooooo ^^ enough for half your tent... will work nice on 1.2x1.2 area... for sure not enough light to flower on 2.4x1.2 that ez100... is that a bathroom extractor?
  13. very much agree on the COB... if you add 1 more of the LEDs you have, you run 660watts over 1.2x2.. is enough. But you can also nicely adapt to different canape hights. Stick to 1.2x1.2 for now and add the next light when it fits the wallet. 1.2x1.2 is a rather big grow space. If you do a good run and use the light correct, 2 grams per watt, should be easy reachable. With 440 watts, you should reach over 800g dry. How many plants is relative and depends on the strain and what type. If you do a proper 17 cut mainlining, 4 photo plants will need the space. Or 9 tall growing autos or 16 small growing autos. The better you know the strain, the better you know what is coming size wise. Stick to what you have and can handle.. a full space brings other challanges. After 2 grows, you know very well what makes sense to add to your setup. The lights you have are in my preferred config spectrum wise. I think you will enjoy your grow time. Just watch those temperatures!
  14. Son of a friend runs the same light, he uses one in a 1.2x0.6.. result is good for the fertilizer he used My TS3000s also have less diodes compared to 4 288 QBs, still work fine on a 1.2x1.2. I would use more wattage per area as diodes per area. Still want to try how much i get out of 360 watt, 3 288QBs on a 1.2x1.2. Grams per watt could go up, just always takes 3 months to run a test to answer one question. @Milie just keep your distance and you get a good footprint, pack your grow space and have enough ventilation on each plant. keep us posted.
  15. with those two lamps you can easy run a 1.2x1.2 grow space during flower
  16. Good light, stick to 30cm distance for flower. Nothing should suffer if you keep your room temp ok.
  17. You should be able to leave your hand on... you run to hot. 2 options.. more direct air on the lamp or better passive cooling, or a dimmer and reduce the input by a little. Tent temperature you have to check not to go over 26.. terps will suffer otherwise. Over 30 is baaaaaaad ^^ You have me a link to the lamp? Not sure I looked at the right place, couldn't find it.
  18. When they are running, can you put your hand on and leave it on? Or getting to hot to touch? Endless board configurations and they all dont work, if they get to hot and you have your plants to close. Even if your plants should touch your boards, they shouldnt get crisp the cooler your lamps run, the more efficient they operate, heat forms resistance. Can you post a pic how you run them? In any case, dont go closer as 30cm. No real need to really go closer, you just smaller your footprint. I keep my 288 QBs at 40cm distance for flower
  19. ^^ Follow the guys before.. you might need to increase your ventilation inside the tent by quite a bit. If you have 288 QBs, 30 cm is close and the closest part will not be able to use all the light you give it.. except you run a additional CO2 generator. As @SkunkPharm said, is hard to burn with LED, as the head radiation is very low.. not zero but should't get hot enough to actually burn your plants. If your boards get so hot, that they emit strong heat radiation, you have a cooling issue on your QBs.. hand warm they run efficient, the hotter they get, the more inefficient they run. If you can't touch them, you need cooling.
  20. Is a hybrid.... more info you will hardly get. Would be very cool, if you could identify the strain over the leaf You might grow something nice, or might be a total waste of time. It bares advantages to know what you grow
  21. That is how it should look like very sexy Ladies you got there!
  22. He didn't even let you taste it? Bambuleeeeee ^^ If you grow them yourself, rather sure you get to a satisfying result Don't go to heavy on the nutes.. they don't like it to much, they stun rather fast. I ruined a batch with my 8 week table but stressed those poor things so heavy, 4 turned into photos.. which I pheno hunt now, growing nice so far. Lets see if the 12/12 plants turn out as potent as the 20/4.
