Having a hard time getting Biobizz dialed in.
Prom replied to Trichome's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
As the stress started short after the synt nutes.. is most likely where you got things started. I would never mix biological feeding with chemical. Is like you let Mana rain from the sky and then suddenly you flood the land with mustard gas. Sure you can let mana rain again but there is nothing left to eat it. You killed your soil micro organisms with that one feeding. You might want to stick to the Mega fertilizer set till the end of the grow, makes most sense as it requires pH to be in the right range, just use Up or Down. Also the silicon.. is a no go, that is most likely chemical.. one drop is one drop to much. If you want to go soil.. follow the right BioBizz table and things should get like you would expect. The main BB product is Bio Heaven... the other products are just build around it. Get a bottle of Kushy Amino Acids and stick to the feeding on the bottle.. is same same like Bio Heaven just 100 times cheaper. To make things easier.. I would just use BB Fish-Mix and BB Bloom, plus add molasses yourself. BB Grow = 75% Fish-Mix + 25% molasses. Using Grow is a start but not enough to get the BRIX number over 12%.. so you have to add molasses anyhow.. hence skip Grow and just add more Molasses.. stuff is cheap too ^^ If you use Freedom Farm Premium Classic (green bag), BioBizz Fish-Mix, Bloom, TopMax (or similar Humic and Fulvic acids), BB Bio Heaven or Kushy Amino Acids, Kushy or Freedom Farm Kelp Extract and de-sulphurated molasses with rain water. You have all to run a grow till the end, nothing else needed. And just stick to the BioBizz grow table.. they work, I ran over 1000 plants with it. -
The damage is done and will not reverse. Keep an eye on the new growth coming, that tells you if you have things back in order. Flush soil always with rain water.. if you use tap water (Fluor added and hence chemical), you are killing your microbes in the soil. A proper pot flush.. 10 liter pot.. let about 60 liters run through, 6-10 times pot size. Then you know you start on a blank sheet.. and you can go right back to normal dosage, no reason to go from lock out or heat stress to starvation mode. If you want to pH biological fertilizers, use biological UPs and Downs (Lemon juice, vinegar, liquid lime stone,...). If you run a diary and put every feeding detail in, you will get best advise... knowing the history of a plant helps one 'shit-load' ^^

Just remember to add some full cream milk to your tea.. or will not dissolve. Would also Butane wash it and use the pure form. Why not use butter and add to your cooking.. brownies, cookies, pizza, so much nicer ways compared to hay like tasting tea

And the last Gelato to go down. 22L Fabric pot, raised indoor till December, then put outdoor. Plant had the longest flower time but also produced some serious colas.

Having a hard time getting Biobizz dialed in.

They look like they should... may be... but really just may be ^^ you can give them a tick more. What week you stand in your BioBizz chart (how old are those plants)? You are about 4 week out till finish, what BB products you use.. full range or just a few selected ones? -
There is hardy anything to add... the generic pH solution you used was most likely chemical... what sets all you used to chemical and kills your micro organisms. With FF stick to biological fertilizer parts only and skip any pH tests. Or go Coco/Hydro and stick to salts and chemicals only and use generic pH to get it in the right region. BioBizz still costs a bit and one drop of chemical pH down will render the biological advantage obsolete. To get some flora back, Biodyne Environoc 401.. micro organisms in liquid form.. get a small bottle and add accordingly. Keep chemicals out of soil.. ruins most of the positive effects to grow in soil. If you use fertilizers killing living things.. stick to coco, rock wool or DWC.

If you wanna go grow competition.. i give it a pass. Load shedding makes things un-fun, but would more then gladly do judging if required. Right now I am more into trying different strains and gain a better overview what is out there, in regards to consume.. hence ^^ more into a Smoking the Shitz competition

I cut a short clip to explain what is important when you grow Cannabis

What nutrients to use for flowering outdoor soil grow
Prom replied to Grant's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
You don't stop the N, you just reduce it and add more of other elements for flower, the plant will still grow in size.. and yes, that is massive heat stress. Not said it is from under watering.. but dry plants get easier stressed. During summer I water more but stick to my feeding regime.. just give em at least once a day an additional soaking with water only, that way the plant has more water to vaporize and cool itself. If the plant stands in a hardly ventilated corner, she will go also way faster into heat stress. There is nothing wrong with a netting over the plants to add more shade.. will still reach easy 1000-1400 micromole PAR but the plant gets way less heat by sun rays. Sun on the southern hemisphere is way stronger compared to the north.. all the breeders sit north -
What nutrients to use for flowering outdoor soil grow

If you don't want to go into a deep budget go Builders Warehouse, get Seagrow and GuanoFlo.. important is the GuanoFlo. Not perfect but has good amount Phosphor and Potassium. The SeaGro you can just add.. is rather weak. If a fertilizer states on the bottle that you can't over do it.. says enough ^^ but good supplement. Stick to the dosage on the bottle of the GuanaFlo!!! That is hot fertilizer and to much will kill your plant. If you want to give them a proper treatment, get BioBizz Fish-Mix and Bloom (3ml each per liter), Kushy Amino Acids (4ml per 10L) and Kelp Extract (1ml per liter) and some de-sulphurated Molasses (for a 10 liter bucket you can easy add 100-150ml). -

The Lazy Auto grow - 2nd auto attemp indoor - FastBuds West Coast OG
Prom replied to TheLazyFisherman's topic in Grow Diaries
At least you work with proper genetics. Never tried the West Coast O.G. from 42FB but rest i tried was good to excellent, still love their Gelato. Keep humidity UP during Veg.. autos love that. -
The Lazy Auto grow - 2nd auto attempt outdoors
Prom replied to TheLazyFisherman's topic in Grow Diaries
Is auto or photo active... but to my knowing.. there are no "un-proper" plants what is it? Did it not start to flower within 5 weeks.. then is most likely a to early release. Depending on genetics.. can be a gold mine you might want to keep a cut before it flowers.. -
And some more outdoor... Gelato (42FastBuds seeds) and the Slurricane (clone) came nice. I might repeat that next year... clones really enjoyed the outside.. just needed heavy supports. Gelato and the Slurricane

have my jar in the fridge now, keep those terps cool hehehe Weed got cured properly for 2 months at 62% with 3 airings a day, solid buds and a light green color.. not to unhappy even with the 4 weeks stage 6 at ripening. What can I say.. good to go
-
If we involve money, we enter a gray zone.. if we act on trade alone.. we are covered by the law. Till it is legalized, I would exclude a entry fee to keep the cops off our backs. Indoor or Outdoor is just a question when you enter the competition.. Winter outdoor isn't the same as summer outdoor. But weed is weed and to prevent people entering crap to get good stuff in exchange.. also needs to get addressed. When some guys have fun, there is always a person trying to abuse the system. We first have to decide what way to go and then lay down some ground rules. Main question to start.. we grow or we smoke weed in the competition?
-
Sure you can buy the weed from a local store. And the other 19 will say "Thank You". You might even win.. but it will cost you ^^ Half way decent weed you get for 150 and up in the stores.. prices reach 220-250 a gram for their best. Forking out 10k Rand to win... nothing ^^ is everybody's own decision. If we do a city vs city setup, you will have to buy some more hehehe The main point is.. what we do is not illegal by law. You are allowed to carry 100g with you and if there is no money exchange, you are allowed to trade.. is exactly what we do. We give 2g for free to each competitor and get 2g back from each.. 100% covered by the law from 2018. Is why I suggest to run the competition parallel in all big SA cities.. only if you get more as 5 (as suggestion) per city the local competition opens. City winners then clash with the other city winners and figure out what town in SA has the best growers sitting around Would suggest to run 2 comps a year (could be more).. March and September as judging months and the city vs city participants can't take part in the next local. Just have to set some rules for the competition and how the hand over will take place. Rest is smoking and judging.. no grow stress during the competition. So has nothing to do with a grow off.. more a smoke off hehehe i like that. If it kicks in we can run it like a football league.. where the clubs are represented by each city.
-
Question is how you want to run it... is not done with: OK, i give 2g to each of the 20 guys taking part. How exactly you want to get the 2g to each person? Simple calculation.. 100 bug for a local drop off... might be more. Nation wide... more for sure. 20 deliveries.. 2000 bugs or more to take part. Wouldn't it make more sense to run it like the CT Cannabis competition from end March? The 20 guys taking part meet at a location in CT, exchange the weed and drive back home. Then sent in the smoke results / points to the organizer and they calculate all together and set the ranking. Could even be run over a few poll sheets here on the forum with restricted access to the people taking part. Results only shown when all votes are in. Each bigger City can have their own local competition and the top three of each city could go with a fresh batch into a city shoot out. Top city results get the 420SA Cannabis Crown to brag Should give the board a good boost too.

I would help in such a game and strain swaps always kick in hard...

Let see it like that if you have a perfect setup and not win... will ruin your selfesteem You are very very good at growing... would have given it a shot to see where you stand. My competition weed is now cured 2 months... had a month stage 6. Curiosity kills the cat. Can only win in this competition... losing against a full solar setup is no shame hehehe thanks for the info, kinda relaxed now. I would have made a bet on your weed, if you would have taken part. Pictures dont lie... ok, except they are ai generated I go like usual... lets see

na, have the driver connected directly to the plug ^^ and lost no driver since i use em. I have a spare.. not sure why hehehe

Power gone again... time to play with plants Need to stock up my stash, so took down 2 clones too, JetFuel, same feeding like the Gelato. Tablet picture... Proper camera ^^
-
First harvested plant of 2023 Gelato from 42FastBuds (seed grown) Reused Freedom Farm Premium Classic (Green Bag), Biobizz - Fish-Mix & Bloom, Grow Guru - Amino Acids, Kushy - Kelp Extract and Captain Black Straps Molasses ( a lot ^^) Got twice Humic and Fulvic Acids, Epic 5:2. BRIX tests were Veg 17% and Flower 19%

What bumps?? Just how the branch grows? Nothing to worry about. Last pic looks like Spider Mites. Check with magnifiers for crawlies. If there are none.. might be calcium low. Crawlies more likely, rest of the leaves look good ^^
