  1. I keep an eye... no, two eyes on the grow diaries Air, i would rate you a bit on the low side. Go 8 in 8 out(or add another 6), big tent, i use 2 outs to have a less directed flow from in to out.. comes in at one side, leaves tent other side (one 6 goes out of the room with filter, other goes into another tent, vents the Gorillas right now). 2 40cm ocilating, 2 50cm directionals for general mixing... you might need 6 40 and 4 50 to keep all moving. The better your air moves, the better your plants grow.
  2. Rule of thumb, you should cycle the air of your tent 6 times a minute. Cooking up a storm inside is as important.
  3. I have a 2.4x2.4 and use 8 as intake and 2 x 6 as outtake
  4. What tent size you have? Sorry if that was mentioned before...
  5. I agree, i only go the extra mile as i want to breed some autos. If a shop wants to import HEPA cloth directly, contact me, and i pass you the direct contact. I would prefer no import hassle too They ship to registered companies in SA too. I wouldnt stress to much about the air intake, if you just run feminized plants. If you have males on the property, you have a bit more hassle to watch out for.
  6. I had same issue, my dad in Germany solved it. He gets 10m HEPA cloth on a roll. Bit to much, but i will get 4m2 to start, i wanna put it in my intake window directly. So i check import cost, if reasonable, i check to get some more. Problem... Post Office
  7. Yes, nothing written in stone... but i treated the girls same way, yes, same batch seeds from same breeder. Blue cheese from nirvana seeds. I start to correct my mistakes and each seems to improve the plants happyness. I was way to close with my lamps in all stages... so over all, i enjoy this, as a bigger foot print also lets you light up more plants.. less wattage consumed. I for my part will stick to the 250 mmol on germination, they grow rather fast. Could be genetics, that i got three different results in plant hight. Interesting part... Epogee data suggested the outcome before. So i could say, yes, genetics.. or simply accept that i got the same result as they did. To much on your youngsers is actually no benefit, but slows them down. And to little provides the worst result...
  8. Do you measure your fertilizer, when you give it to the plants? Or do you just guess how much to give? I think growing went into the next league with measuring your light and applying what the plants need and not what you think they have to get. We measure water, fertilizer, time to grow.. but not the amount of light we give the babies... why? Is it worth it to spend on a quantum flux meter? That is your own decision.. I grow for that long, I know I can grow.. but how much I get out per sq or watt.. that is my challenge. I wanna hit 1kg per sq on every harvest I do. Would love to see how close I get to 3g/watt, if I go as perfect as I can go. I learned a lot.. really.. more than in the last 10 years, just by using a stop watch to clock my lap times. Without, you just guess your lap times.. I post one pic and that explains all.. Same strain, same time glassed.. different light intensity. 250mmol are recommended by Apogee.. what a result with just different light setups. No, you do not need a quantum flux meter to grow a plant.. if you wanna reach the limits.. yes, you need one. The plant with more light.. didn't perform better.. wuuuppppssssss.....!!!!!!!!!
  9. Week 10 has started Day 1 Week 10 And here is week 9 in motion.. dark times are Eskom load shedding related. I bumped the tent from the outside.. cam go moved a little, you will see.
  10. Fems, i wouldnt go september in ct, just because of the temp drops (or you work indoor first). Beginning October is a good time to start. Just keep that soil warm till they reach veg. Autos, a bit different approach. Depending on duration.. seed to harvest, plan ahead. Beginning Nov is a good start for Autos. Cold is gone, and you hit peak sun duration over your growth. Outdoor autos, add at least one, better 2 weeks to the total grow duration. You should end with harvest Beginning Feb.. and have no seeds in your buds.
  11. Gorillas UN-Burbled ^^ I turned the light off and made a few pictures to see how they are doing. More pure water ^^ is a bit very green hehehe but rest.. aren't those sexy bitches?!?! Still week 9
  12. See, the quantum flux meter is 500 meter away.. isn't far, but still.. I don't want to go and get the meter every time I do a change on the lamps. With a dimmer.. you need a meter or you have zero ideas how far to hang. Hence.. 100%. Yes, the driver will run 100% but is also designed to do that. They don't get hot at all.. like the heat sink.. hand warm. I have my boards running at 100%, I do my measurements and write em down, once borrowed the meter. So all I have is a piece of paper to have the right micromols on the plants. Saves me the 10k Rand quantum flux meter, and just have it to measure each lamp every 6 months and see how much they lost and adjust distance to hang. Knowing your lamps is a huge part of success. And is also a 48v driver.. just has 120w max capacity.. just perfect to run one board. If you wanna use a dimmer.. you will not get around a proper meter.. or you will guess your way to each harvest. I like my growing more uncomplicated.. but still try to achieve perfect conditions.
  13. HPS written on it.. When we talk light, HPS is and will stay for a bit the target LEDs try to achieve. Those are the best lamps in my opinion.. they just eat your wallet dry in no time. HPS is for the rock stars of growing, not giving a rats ass about the amount of money they invest. Have guys in Europe reaching 1.5 meter and more on Autos with HPS systems... my LEDs can't do that, No Sir! But I also prefer my autos not as tall.. so zero complains from my side.
  14. The smell is getting very much noticeable when you enter the room.. rest. I clean out the old leaves and keep a clean pot.. that is all. Day 4 Week 9 Feeding is on 4/4/4 (Grow/Bloom/TopMax)
  15. HPS is still the thing to beat.. they are just very very hungry. g/watt they lose against LED.. if I wouldn't have to worry about electricity cost at all.. I am rather sure, I still would use HPS lamps. They are great but very expensive to run.
  16. Bit hard to see what it is drop the popped seeds directly into the final pot. 10 Liter pot filled with FF Green bag will do the trick. You do not need Root Juice.. I just waste some cash with it. When you once run into it.. get a small 250ml bottle.. lasts for a very long time as you only use it first week, then stop. More important is BioBizz Fish Mix.. that is the steroid version of Seagro Before I would use Seagro I would go Guanoflo, has way more N.. that Seagro bottle wouldn't last to long.
  17. I have my own compost to mix 50/50.. but a friend is a bit more lazy and just uses the bags.. my way is cheaper.. not better. Have to be that honest too No difference to me.. he has some White Widows finished end this week. Hehehe Autos.. what else.. one has a arm thick main and is 50 cm long no, no differences
  18. Na.. don't worry.. is not really a hot mix. But a great buffer for all. Main nutes still come from BioBizz, but is a very fluffy mix. With Root Juice, they grow very fast in the first 2 weeks. I always reach 5 finger leaves end week 2.
  19. That is the shizzles! This soil is something of the best SA has to offer for growing..
  20. The H is the more expensive version.. so you should find a cheaper version with another board soldering company using the B version of the diode. If you do not buy a tested lamp.. you need to read properly! You want IR and you do not want UV inside your board. 3000k or 3500k version.. is a bit choice and preference. When they mention UV.. look somewhere else, has nothing to do in a grow light. They have as selection: 3000k 660nm ... you go there.. or I look further.
  21. I use Freedom Farm Premium.. drop the seed directly in it.. they love the shit
  22. Put in a cart board box and hang a light inside, close up, blanket around if needed, just don't cook it . I have a rather stable temp in my grow room, so I do not have those troubles
