  1. It's been a while since I've harvested so I should probably close this diary off with some pics Crescendo: Great strain start to finish. Has fruity smell , like over ripe fruit , great taste and balanced high. High quality genetics! Sensi Star: This one is interesting. Came out extremely sweet smelling with a slight hint of spice. Guess I didn't get the "metallic" smelling pheno. Effects wise it's also an interesting plant , although it's a solid indica the high is very much like one would get from a sativa , might harvest slightly later if I ever grow it again ... I don't find that this one puts me to sleep whatsoever. This plant yeilded like crazy and was 100% wpm resistant which is awesome! GBOF: Weird strain this. Although covered in trichomes the buds have very little smell. They smell like cut grass , when crushed there is some minty grape aroma that gets released but not as intense as the name would suggest. The smoke is very smooth and the high is pleasant and uplifting. The plant produced very long thin buds with good density which is cool. Final Comments: I liked the diversity of the three different strains. Each plant was totally unique morphology, smell, and effect. I would definitely wan't to try and grow out some more sensi star to see if I can find some of the other interesting phenos. The crescendo pretty much produced exactly what the breeder description said which is great! I rate I will definitely buy some ethos gear again. And the grape balls of fire was a great yielding stable plant which gives me confidence to try some other local gear in the future.
  2. Ok so I haven't updated in a while. Will probably harvest in the next week or so: Crescendo: Sensi Star: GBOF:
  3. It's possible. The issue started shortly after switching to the flowering nute schedule so it might be that because this plant is flowering slower it needed the veg nutrient schedule with more nitrogen for a bit longer. The weird thing is it doesn't consume nearly as much water as the other plants. It's definitely a very inbred strain, had some webbed leaves on the seedlings. In the grow journals I've seen online the bud seems nice though so fingers crossed
  4. So update for this week: Buds sites seem to be progressing nicely. Although I'm loving the coir as a medium so far it's becoming a bit of a hassle to water it three times a day, I'll probably try bigger pots next time. Week 13 Grape Balls of Fire: This plant has bud sites everywhere, very nice structure. T Crescendo RBX2: Sensi Star: Probably my favourite so far. Very leafy but thick branches, great structure and thick bud sites Braincake: This one just keeps getting taller. This plant also seems to have the occasional leaf yellowing on the bottom leaves (looks like nitrogen def), it gets the same nutrients as the other plants so I'm not sure if it's actually related to a deficiency or whether it's just a strain related thing. I think this one is going to take some time to complete it's flowering.
  5. Week 10: Recovering Nicely Week 11: Crescendo: Sensi Star: GBOF: Week 12 (This week) Crescendo: Sensi Star: BrainCake: GBOF:
  6. I'll be using this thread to keep a diary of my outdoor coco grow. Nutrients: This time round I've been using GH floracoco as nutes with some potassium silicate every third watering. I've pretty much been using 2/3 of the doses specified on the back of the bottle with tap water, feeding every second watering. Now that the plants are flowering I'm feeding full strength every watering It's the first time I'm using coco and I'm pretty happy with the performance of the nutrients so far, No pH issues, nutrients seem to buffer the tap water perfectly. When I add the potassium silicate I add it first and then add 4-5 drops of 30% HCL to get the pH down to about 7. After adding the nutrients the pH is around 6.0 These coco nutes don't seem to need any calmag ... I do however add a small amount of calmag like every 5th feeding just out of deficiency paranoia Strains: I am growing 4 strains: Ethos genetics - Crescendo RBX2 - Very nice uniform plant sofar Paradise Seeds - Sensi Start - Awesome plant , love the structure , thick and bushy Ripper Seeds - BrainCake - Weird plant , was super slow in veg and now suddenly it's shooting up , very little leaves , tall sativa like structure , didn't really respond to the lst Amadeadly seeds - Grape Balls of Fire - Great plant , very big , good structure , seems like a perfect 50/50 hybrid *The plants are always in this order front to back in the photos Week 3 (from seed): front to back: Crescendo , Sensi Star, BrainCake, GBOF Week 4: front to back: Crescendo , Sensi Star, BrainCake, GBOF Week 7: front to back: Crescendo , Sensi Star, BrainCake, GBOF I topped all of the plants except brain cake. I went on holiday during week 5 and 6 and left the plants in an auto watering tray and came back to this I decided to try training the plants around a ring, ended up snaping the main stems so the training reslted in more of a supercropping vibe than pure lst. Week 8: The plant had some gnats and whiteflies on them so I decided to spray them with pyrol. Ended up burning them pretty badly
