Can't argue with@StickyD420 or@CreX Not sure what else to add, but I will say this... Yellowing leaves in Coco with that pattern, from my experience, isn't a toxicity. I feel it's a deficiency, the tree is turning to feed off the stored food in the oldest leaves because the roots aren't doing their job properly. Your coco has no additional nutritional amendments as well, so the tree can't turn to those either. I must ask though... Its been 3 days since your last update (the retransplant)... I'm assuming you watered after the transplant... So what I want to ask is, did you water the medium again? The one that has the problem tree... My normal advice would be to flush with pH'd water until a normal ppm and pH range is achieved, and then continue as per normal after 2 or 3 days, but your medium looks soaked already just below the top layer, so what I would suggest for you specifically is to let the medium dry out a bit and see if she responds any better, then feed her with 1/2 strength nutes when it's due, slowly increasing again as to not shock the root zone once more. It's odd that just that one tree decided that your treatment is unfair[emoji23] but it's happened to me also so no biggy. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

You guys keep giving me ideas on what to spend money I don't have on. Lmao But dope shit. I've know about this tech for a while, seen it online very often. I'm glad more people are noticing it. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

Coco - organic or synthetic nutrients

@Newbie_2020@StickyD420 Okay cool, will get it done tomorrow and have it up by the night. I'll try my best to keep the cost at a minimum[emoji1362] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -

Coco - organic or synthetic nutrients
TheUltimateNoob replied to Burly's topic in Cocopeat or Coco/Perlite growing
I just built an auto watering system for my grow. Not entirely auto, still have to mix nutes and connect the pipes, but once that's done I just open a tap and it will empty the container into the soil... Provided I leave the container higher than the pot its watering. Also have one of those 5L plastic bottles that you can pump up to spray out the contents with pressure. Managed to modify it so I can connect the piping - this way the bottle doesn't need to be higher than the pot because the pressure pushes the water up the pipes anyway. Made it with some 5mm pvc tubing, a few dippers and valves, and some hot glue (for the container that's not pressurised). The 5L bottle simply involves unscrewing the main pipe and replacing some parts. Anyone want me to create a thread on how to do it? Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -
Helpful indeed, thanks brother [emoji109] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

Yeah I think maybe hold off with asking him. Those components can be sourced locally. I have a general idea on how that kind of unit works, but I just need to check some specifics online. I'll design and wire my own with a circuit breaker and stuff. I really appreciate the info bro Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

Thanks a million bro, seriously. I'm in durban though, let see what he says. I think it's worth the investment. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

First of @SkunkPharm Awesome thread bro, honestly I didn't make it through everything, lol. Will try to follow along. And@StickyD420 Bro I'm seriously interested in setting this up. Could you message me like a pricing of some sort? And a general list of components... I have - I would say - a good knowledge on electrical circuits and have designed a solar powered system somewhere lying around. Just never thought of actually doing this to compensate for my lighting hours... Always set it up to have dark cycles during the load shedding hours and opened the tent for a hour or however long to wake the plants up if I needed to while the lights were out. Honestly gents@StickyD420@Ill_Evan I don't do this airing the water thing. I tried it a few times but never learnt what it did well I'm not sure if it has any effect on my trees or not. Please enlighten me. I just fill up my 10L plastic container with the tap blasted, and start mixing nutes within like 15 minutes [emoji85] Gets mixed well, but no air stone or airing out the water before or anything. Not sure if I'm doing damage here as I haven't experienced much. Help? Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -

The actual scale is something like; 0-20ppm = soft 20-60ppm = slightly hard 60-120ppm = moderately hard 120-180ppm = hard 180ppm and above =very hard Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -

I use soft water. My tap water comes out around 65ppm so it's not that bad. And it's not a problem. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -
Coco - organic or synthetic nutrients

This is correct [emoji1362]. Constant use of salt based nutes will eventually stop the symbiotic relationship between the tree and the microbes in soil. @Newbie_2020 Microbes break down things in the soil into nutrients for the tree, and the tree produces carbs and sugars for the microbes. If you continually add salt based nutrients, the tree will no longer have a purpose for producing food for the microbes (since its getting fed directly with the added nutes) and the microbial life will eventually die off. *my opinion* The thing with FFF1 is that it has Bone meal, Worm Castings AND fermented probiotic bran... Which leads me to believe that there is in fact microbial life, and that they crafted the mix quite intuitively. The microbes will continue to feed on what's in the mix until they starve, I feel its enough to veg for 2 or 3 weeks if you don't want to use nutes, but the tree will require much more nutes than what's left in the mix after that, which is why salt based nutrients is stated to be essential for FFF1. They claim to have a boosted growth rate and I feel its due to the probiotic bran breaking down those base amendments and making the nutrients available, and then the added nutrients give it a good boost throughout the entire veg. *end of my opinion* LOL, fire away at me if anyone has any comments on that please. Coco - organic or synthetic nutrients

Been using the GHE tripack with their pH Up&Down since the beginning bro. For Ca&Mg I use Epsom salts if I absolutely need to, but usually I just increase the Flora Micro dose slightly. Haven't found a reason to change to anything else yet and I'm trying to grow max potency with zero additives/supplements so it's really convenient for me. And honestly, if you do it right, you WILL end up with potent shit... My last harvest was better than almost any indoor I've found elsewhere. The Tripack, I feel, has the greatest value for money. The ratio in which you use the concentrates ends up finishing one before the others, but they do sell them individually, so that's a plus. I just buy a new pack and keep old nutes for like clones, other plants or experiments on feeding strengths. The only other thing I'm considering looking into right now is living soil. The idea of a grow that requires just water is exciting due to its simplicity, although I'm not ready to make the switch yet neither do I have the time to compare veg times vs watering a medium w/nutrient solution. I treat my Formula 1 basically soil because it has a lot of amendments you usually add to soil - I have had to do anything a particular way just because the medium is coco. I water every 2nd or 3rd day and at a pH of 5.8-6.3. The medium buffers pH to 6.5 anyway so you're safe with feeding a slightly lower pH. Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk -
I agree... Wallets cry when people think about buying HPS[emoji1787]... But I can't argue with you, that's the spectrum everything is aiming for, with just a few tweaks... They aren't far, but the footprint, output and penetration of HPS lamps are just [emoji1362] Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk

Aaah yes... I remember now. My mistake, just confused TDS and ppm... The last time I worked in a lab was a few years ago, we had dedicated equipment and knew what everything was for so the terminology took a back seat [emoji23] Thank you for the information, it's much appreciated [emoji1374] Another bookmark for the growing folder Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
