Insect frass, releases (excuse the spelling) titan, and that is where the plant thinks because its getting titan, there is probably a bug infestation and that's why dead corpses in the soil, and the plant will act like it under attack... Thus making it grow like a mofo, because it's not being attacked, and bugs will not want to eat it as its already putting on a defense.

I thought you preferred the Organic Matters soil, more or less the same thing, bar a few ingredients. They have both given good results though.

2part question - for the LED guys.
The_StonedTrooper replied to Naughty.Psychonaut's topic in DIY Central
Just curious, as on Migro and Apogee videos, they actually make reference to the HPS been that good for so long and LEDs battling to beat them till now, because the HPS has a UV spectrum included in the bulbs, and that Bruce is doing test with the UV rays added for the actual benefit of it, but it seemed to make the plant open its leaves stomata and also add something in the leaves for sunblock, which in turn made the plant grow better or produce better "sun ripened" fruit or flower. -
To explain, You want the most stable as possible, extreme changes, more than 10 - 15deg down at night will bring on the colours, if in flowering. When in veg, you just slow down growth, unless you go below around 10deg you will get root damage. High temps, up to 30deg are normally okay, and as mentioned before, if over 30deg, you want to up the light and co2, or it will start to burn the ends and journal on the leaf.

You are over thinking it now, you got this brother. Have faith, and we are here if you come across any issues, with what you have and our already guiding you, you are going to be just fine.

Glad there is another older fella on the forum, and must definitely do a run of Auto's soon. Just hard with no income at the moment and hands are tied because of it. Soon though, soon -
Perfect

I really dont want to discourage you, in all honesty I stay away from a cooler, and something small as such you linked is not going to make a big change at all. Aircon or next grow swop day and night around. Maybe others have got a cooler and can advise, but my understanding was not worth it.
-
Sure for this run, you cant swop now. Next time, As @CreX says, will help definitely. I am just not sure he wants his cupboard open at all, and after the stealth look and in disguise
-
As a side note, if you have issues with heat... One thing you can do, and it stabilizes the temps more which is what you want ideally, a stable and less changing temps. Change your grow around, if your lights come on at 6am and off at 6pm, for example, then you rather run the lights at night when its cooler, and off in the day when its hottest, so on at 6pm and off at 6am, flowering example.

You slowly convincing me to try auto flowering, as what I've seen has been ridiculously good, and as you say, they just have a certain vigor about them and style and growth. Again, big ups to you on the grow brother Prom. -
The low humidity and high temp will dry it out faster yes, you'll have to gauge it as its something we cant teach you as it depends on many things, you'll see and feel when water is needed. You can get a cooler, or bring in air faster, if its cooler outside, or at push an aircon. You might have issues with a more powerful light and temp.

Sweet, then get the details from Master G on the height at that output dimmed, and cant wait to see your progress and adventures with us. Peace
-
Cool, thank you. With regards to the extra supplemental light, it's not really necessary to have it now, or probably even the light of Master G right now at full power. Like Evan said the other day and you can find online, your seedlings really only need a little bit of light 200 to 400 PAR and anything more would be a waste of electricity and potentially burn the seedlings. I'd say use the UFO style light with more red now till they need more light, and then run the new light, probably on a dimmer and working up to full blast in flower and then adding the UFO for supplemental lighting. I bring my lights on in stages in the morning and off in the evening to replicate the sun rise and set, the UFO is perfect for that spectrum too. But this is stuff you play around with after you can grow start to finish a decent plant. Seen as the sun is probably one of the best light sources you get, and still seen people grow air rated weed in the full sun, and therefore those people buying the best light for indoor, but they have a few basic elements missing so it isn't worth the investment yet. In other words, before playing or investing too much, get a few runs under your belt and go from there.
-
Its perfect brother, the setup is good to go... I wouldn't worry about the humidity at this time unless you purchase a humidifier or something, but not needed right now. Let's see that light

I love watching them wiggle as they grow Thank you for the update Prom. -
Wait for roots to come out, before going to the final pots, you dont have to, but it helps with not overwatering now. Maybe try a smaller in between size pot before the 10 liter pots, for the root ball, and for watering, as you are like me, and love them to death with water.
-
So happy you got a good light and part of the family too... Well, what size fabric pot you going next? You can go straight to a 3 gallon fabric from jiffy, just got to be super careful with your watering, and water only enough at once. Then up to a 10 gallon fabric later in say 1.5 months time. It's good to up pot to create a good healthy root ball, otherwise your roots will always go to their furthest point and then make home, usually at the bottom of the big pot, if watering till the bottom, and you'll get issues and not much roots.
-
Adding: if you see stretching, then the light is too far away, if you are already at the point your covering not enough plant and cant come closer to the plants without missing the full area, you go bigger light.
-
Looks good, You dont have to wait, it's up to you and thought you had a reason to start there first. Put it in the area you going to properly veg and grow in, then just bring lights closer and up pot as she grows bigger. Your light should be okay till around week 4 or 5, then go bigger from there. Also up to you and what coverage you getting at the required height
-
There you go, that's what I meant, you good to go brother
