  1. I cant recall who said it on this forum, but he and I both get our perlite directly from Pratley. R200 for 100L if memory serves me correctly There should be an outLet in all major areas and centrally located to the city. Also maybe running a mix of H2O2 peroxide and water, you could clean it, and the peroxide will turn into water after the procedure. A guess it would work...
  2. Great write up brother, it always handy having this in one spot and the most important stuff. Out of curiosity, do you not mean TOPPING, as FIMing is as I understand "Fuck I Missed" and you instead of removing all the main shoot, it grows back but deformed and then let's the lower branches catch up?
  3. I'm just happy you are sorted out brother, now you can make amazing things with your new baby. Send us setup pictures
  4. Welcome, make yourself at home, unless you walk around naked at home Glad to have another grower here, @CreX he love this place, from his head, To-Ma-Toes
  5. How did you find the smoke this way, and would you do it again or dont prefer it?
  6. Hey brother, You can try the following places, with great review and genuine service. @growopz (latest technology and knows his stuff) And Futurama have a big selection. I dont owe these places anything other than I have received outstanding service from them both and will always go back. Not sure if @Master_G is still here...but he also had something on offer (pre apologies admin).
  7. Pleasure brother, Ah yes, the plastic weave, like the packet you used to see at the grocery stores. I take it the cover over that is mylar? We shall wait in anticipation for the new setup pictures and future grows.
  8. Cool, theirs is a different make, but 100 cheaper than the Chinese shop, or I didnt barter with them
  9. I'm so happy you sorted brother, and good deal at a good business. If you making reference to the extra sheet at the bottom, from my understanding it's meant to be a splash guard more than holding water I guess, and there for in case. Possibly put a plastic sheet over or under it for safety and protection. Pictures or it never happened Super happy for you
  10. Builders have this for 200 Mounted at the top, plugged in, will go on when power goes out, lasts 15 hours and can add solar to it. Dont have it on your timer system, or it will come on at lights out, and bad.
  11. Any dead air is bad, make sure when your system is running, you can see all leaves move or rustle in one revolution of the oscillating fan, if you see leaves not moving, you going to have WPM known as white powder mildew, and mold. Very very very bad
  12. Both your questions are difficult and require different angles or processes to solve, and can be done a number of ways, that is personal choice. Normally, fans blowing left to right, angle up, or down, which works best for you. Some place a second fan just kicking air up, getting that CO2 circulating. Battery backup, you never want the air to stand, ever. You can get away with no lights on for a while in flowering, bit in veg, you dont want the lights out or it will get to much flowering hormones and go haywire. So adding a emergency light, with backup battery, that comes on when lights out, you'll be okay, they R300
  13. Exactly and agree with you, but do you see his grow room making enough sound that it would need to add deadening. Wouldn't the extraction fan be the most noise only?
  14. Makes total sense and thank you for the forewarn. Probably works better for insulation and not soundproofing. Have you also insulated your whole room or tent?
  15. I get what you going for, and I like it honestly. Give me second though... You might be pleased without the soundproof material, so maybe first set it all up, and take it from there, and you could end up thanking me for not spending that money and time. You can always purchase and put it on afterwards, without a hassle.
  16. If you attach something on the ends or corners, that sticks through the insulation and you cant fasten or put a cap on, or just glue / double sided tape the ends or corners only, then it's not all over, should hold. Magnetic would be good if you had them on hand, but dont go out and pay for them, was just a thought really.
  17. Glue normally means for good, tape would be removable I'd guess if you ever need to remove or change setup. You said metal box, what about magnetic tacs, flat head drawing pins for the wood?
  18. Yip, if my choice yes. You must be happy though. I wouldn't soundproof the room, unless that is for temps only and or you are mounting the extraction fan inside that grow area, it wouldn't really be needed. More so for the fans I'd say... I have 3 fans running and one extraction fan, when that room's door is closed, nobody in my house would know a thing. When I go sleep though and dead of night, i can hear the oscillating noise, clicking. No air noise or extraction noise. I also dont have insulation and I never go over 28deg or below 18deg at extremes.
  19. Do 4 sides then, and just thought now you could also get Sajax/polystyrene sheets, that stuff they use to hold stuff hot or cold and make cooler boxes out of it. Though after some thought, have to really agree with the uncompressed material, if you go that route, as it will absorb the sound better that way, like eating it as it spreads through the fibers.
  20. Then I am corrected, that makes sense and can see how it would work... No way to do this insulation on the outside of the case, box? @zolrooker Would that make more sense if it was for insulation and less for sound deadening? I dont know...
  21. If you compress the 100, you will have 50, with a density of a 100. My opinion
  22. That's a good point you make, you could compress that material and make it thinner, but not sure if it would suffice the same sound deadening measures as before. It should still work according to me.
  23. That is the best for the job, if you can get it local and cost is good for you, I say go for it brother, as you cant go wrong with that too as @GGG mentioned, and his advice is solid.
  24. I couldn't agree more, great constructive conversation and challenging ourselves is a must, it's how we learn. Nice chatting to you too and look forward to seeing your grows soon. We all share the same love, one magical plant.
