First time grow....Autoflowering Cheese-Feminized.
Sacred Seeds replied to Deebo420's topic in Grow Diaries
That should be ok as far as I'm concerned. Try to stick close to the natural lighting schedule. -
NB: @BLUESHEPHERD Good advice given by @Deebo420

At least you are learning :thumbups

The soil already sounds suspect. Get some perlite and add it to your soil mix. Otherwise that plant is doomed. It doesn't matter how little you water that soil, it will mostly stay waterlogged which will lead to root rot. :-2cents

I have know idea. I've heard Epsom salts works well, you can get it at any supermarket. Calmag is not expensive either.

I always got the impression that LED's run much cooler than HID's. I'm glad I went the HID route. IMHO I think it would be better to invest the extra cash to purchase an AC.

I ordered from Bonza. First order got lost in the post. I informed them that I didn't receive my seeds. They re-sent the seeds for free and it arrived a week later. Excellent customer service.

Update: 18/01/2017 Day 28 Brown spots seems resolved for now but new leaves are a light green near the veins of the new leaves. It still looks like a lack of magnesium. Any advice for my next watering? Maybe more Calmag and up the nutrients?

Yes it gave me interesting insight on the quality of my tap water. The PH might be high but according to the chart my tap water quality is very good actually!

Welcome @Hertz Bag seeds is a good way to start and learn. I did the same and made plenty of mistakes, which is expected. The vegetable nutrients will be fine to start out with, just be careful because it will usually make your soil "hot" in the beginning. Average potting soil is not ideal but will work if you aerate it well with perlite so that you have good drainage. Watch out for bugs in your soil. Your lighting seems sufficient, more lights equals more heat. I reckon you could get away with 2 plants (with scrog) in that space depending on the unknown strains. 10 - 15l pots should be fine to start out with. Lessons that I've learned with my first grow: DONT Overwater & Be patient If you add too much nutrients in soil its not easy to adjust it afterward. You need to let the soil "cook" for at least 8 weeks so that your plants dont experience nutrient burn. If you cannot keep your temperature in your grow area consistently below 25deg then you going to have problems. Climate control is a big factor in a succesful grow. There is no seed classifieds on this forum. Most member buy from international seed banks and some buy locally. You will find lots of useful information on this page to guide you as well. Dont be afraid to use the search function. Good luck with your grow! :thumbups

I tested my water straight out of the tap this evening. The EC is 126. I attached a pic of the common EC levels of drinking water which is attached behind my meter.

isnt that PH a bit low? How are you dechloronating? Yes definitely on the low side. As long as I keep it between 5.5 & 6.5PH she should be fine. It's very difficult to get the PH spot on when you only diluting 1 litre at a time. As DP grows I will have to use more which makes it a bit easier to adjust ph spot on . Im interested in what could be lowering the PH there. Amino acids? Im not even bothering with de-chlorinating. I know you can let it sit for 24 hours, then add a touch of sugar to get rid of the chloramines which remain but I dont think this would lower it. My tap water reads 6 ph out the tap. Couldnt you just use a bit of ph up, enough for 1 liter? I spose it isnt really bad enough to worry.. heard egg shells on the surface also helps regulate and gives calcium boost. The Amino acids definitely lowers the PH dramatically. My tap water has a PH of 9.56

How to make a carbon filter air scrubber?
Sacred Seeds replied to CannabisKid's topic in DIY Central
[emoji23][emoji85].. that is my little puny grow box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @CannabisKid I only noticed now how smoked I was when I typed that. What I meant to say was "Your grow box looks fantastic!!! Where will the carbon scrubber be placed? -
Wow! That's impressive @Toby & @Totemic My last detox was about 3 years ago and it lasted for 5 days. Similar to @420SA It wasn't voluntary either. Had to fly to PE to help a friend with an IT job. It never bothered me, because I was busy working most of the time. Having said that, the trip after my first joint back was amazing. So clearly detoxing has its benefits but I haven't tried it again. This year I'm aiming to stop smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee. I've already reduced my consumption on both. I don't know how far that will get me but I'm trying nonetheless.

15/01/2017 Day 25: I added 0.5g Calmag, 0.3ml Amino Acid and 0.7ml Grow, Micro, Bloom per liter of dechlorinated water (PH 5.58 / EC 1333) for her feeding tonight. Can anyone explain how the EC reading works in relation to ppm etc?

Any advice on how much Calmag I should use per liter of water?

Yes I am! I added some Calmag as buffer but clearly I need to add some more...
