  1. @Bay Seeds Strawberry Vostok F2 put into tot glass for 24 hours then straight into the soil. I was considering putting seeds into kitchen towel first but Na. First seed broke ground in under 48 hour's then as labeled. Waiting on three more to follow. Soil is a mix of FF and Orgasoilux that is being reused from pulled male's in the shade house.
  2. Had some people over for a braai yesterday and the one chick starts on how some fertilizer, this and that will help the plant. My wife and I tried explaining to her that we busy with an experiment and letting nature do her thing. I'll give her a few points when she said it's ok if we use organic fertilizer. Anyway, gave her a fat Tortoni and she kinda went into a coma and sat one side with a massive grin on her face. Plant is small but looking healthy.
  3. Removed the pedastal and put the fan back on the floor so that the lights get a side wind. Really thought fan blowing from above although at an angel would have kept the lights cooler.
  4. So I recently purchased a tent for what I think was a bargain (thanks bud, you know who you are) for the purpose of a flowering tent. I was gonna attempt a perpetual grow using my cabinet for veg. I had a good result with Strawberry Vostok autoflower from @Bay Seeds outdoors recently and approached him directly to see if I could get my hands on some more autoflowers as I think I can get one more outdoor going. We've dealt before and PostNet rocks for counter to counter for us guys in the dorpies and farms. His stuff is available at B&B but couriers don't come out here. Long story short. I got gifted what I was trying to order and then some and it was suggested I try autoflower indoors. So autoflower tent. Nice having a tent I tell you but oh boy do I need to buy some more equipment now. Bush Pub profits down, my kitty looking good. Temps are down now so I decided to switch my brand new second hand investment on. Fans: 100mm bathroom extractor as intake bottom left of tent. Click's clip on fan Farmer Makes a Plan extraction top right. Oscillating fan on pedastal not working on keeping lights cool but good circulation for the plants. Lights: left to right. @Light It Up 240W QB Chinese 300W blurple, 80W using a Watt meter. @growopz 2 x 75W QB/Bar. Not sure the correct terminology. So here's to autoflower strains from @Bay Seeds that will be introduced as they break ground under the QB's and I'll wait and see before I reveal what's under the Chinese.
  5. I'm busy with the Strawberry Vostok F2 at the moment. If the F1 was anything to go by looking at some nice plants. Should I keep you in mind with the male's Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  6. You specifically looking for a NL male or any male auto? Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  7. Dude, this is a grow forum not a Braai versus Barbie que forum.[emoji3][emoji482] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  8. 2 bags. 1st bag for kuire and beer then 2nd bag for kuire and beer. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  9. My 3rd year trying to grow grass in this damn garden, getting there though. Harsh out here in the full sun and wind. She gets some molasses when I mix for the shade house but not often. Leaving this one for the ants. Let's see. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  10. Was reading the other day about people using those green Oasis blocks that florists use. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  11. Lunch time boerie braai is update time. Had some molasses on hand yesterday so gave some to AntZilla. Gaining some height, not much, and still looking healthy.
  12. That's unlucky man. I've been using the Cue for some time and changed to the Vuse about 6 months ago with no problems. Have you approached Twisp directly. I usually pop into a shop when I had problems with the Cue and would walk away with a replacement no questions asked. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  13. Suppose it's a good time to tell my 75 year old neighbour to tone it down then. Dude woke up one day and decided it's legal now. Asked him what the fuck he's gonna do with so much weed and who is going to harvest. Haven't thought about that was the answer.
  14. Braai time again So this little one is about 7weeks old. Sun and hot winds nailing this little tough one. Stem the thickness of a decent King Size Slim joint and strong as a nail. Still the ants doing their thing and water. Took a cutting and cooked the poor things two days later when I forgot it outside while doing something. I see two possible candidates volunteering to become clones. I'll decide after the braai.
  15. Breeding I'll leave to you more experienced grower's for now. Indoors this round I'm gonna try and get a perpetual grow on the go. Outdoor in the shade house I need to up the game from 10l & 20l pots next season so raised beds of sorts are on the way. Worm bin became a worm farm very fast so should have ample castings and tea by then to top it off. You have anymore auto's up for sale by the way? Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  16. I'll admit I was a bit disappointed with the outcome of the Russian Fuel and the Vladimir Kush but then I did plant them when it was still a bit chilly outside and the male to female ratio was not great. Strawberry Vostok! Man. I'm kinda hooked on trying out more autoflowers now. Nice fat cola's almost the size of a quart bottle. Planted when temps outside were warmer. Your PePe Le Pew looking great so hope you don't stop playing with photoperiods completely. Shade house update being done Sunday. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  17. Take note on DC will kill you. So many people started growing out here and besides the shock factor farms have been razed to the ground because of dodgy electrics. The police did a sort of blitz in the area knocking on doors looking for grow set-ups purely to check for safe wiring. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  18. I think your father would have given me a clip behind the ear if he saw my electrical experience. I have just bought a larger than expected tent 2.4m x 1.2m x 2m. Blurple will be in the old cabinet for vegging. QB's in the tent for hopefully perpetual flowering. Or so that's the plan. Blurple (77w) will run 24 hours until I get another timer. QB's and fan's on for 12 hours. When I had everything running for 18 hours a day our household electric bill was round 800 bucks, 1200 when the wife bakes a month. Thinking 4 small pots under the 240w and 2 small pots under the 2 x 75w. Then the odd 50 bucks here and there is already finding its way into the kitty for the next piece of equipment. 19. Try and get your hands on one of these. Got mine from @growopz . 240w QB set at 220w 2 x 75w QB 300w blurple which only draws 77w 3 x fans Total Watt 516 This has helped a lot figuring out cost's. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  20. I'm working on it bud. But man, not easy. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  21. Braai time = update. Still going strong. Ants doing a good job so far.
  22. It has just dawned upon me that this is 100% organic grow.
  23. I was planning on a few cuttings but want to make sure the plant is nice and strong first. Got an upgrade to my setup on the way and seen that I've chucked all my remaining seeds outdoors I've nadda to grow indoors. So hopefully once newish setup is operational AntZilla is ready for a trim.
  24. AntZilla going to sleep as the full moon rises on the West Coast. This little one is surely testing the elements out here. High temperature. Low to no humidity. Strong hot winds. Me forgetting to water. Only the ants feeding the soil.
