  1. Hey all. Can someone explain in layman's terms what landrace is. Can't seem to get my head around it. Is it just local wild cannabis. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  2. Howzit man. Oudtshoorn, remember those school days, hot and dry. First time growing autoflower my side. I popped into shot glass for 24 hours then into final pot outdoor in a shade house. Similar condition where I live hot, dry and strong winds to top it off. I put a 2l coke bottle humidity dome over the one's I planted early spring when it was still freezing until seeds popped above ground and kept them on for a few days. The one's planted a week or so back went into shot glasses, final pot but no dome this time. I did have to check twice a day to make sure the soil was not dry though. I kept the area where the seed was moist until it broke ground with a spray bottle and continued for the first week. Out of 50 planted about 8 did not break ground.. Unfortunately I had a high male count. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  3. Day 42 12/12. You'll notice a big chunk missing on the bottom right. Took the snips to the spider mites.
  4. Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  5. Having problems myself with autoflower. Knowing it's a finiky plant to grow I planted some (mmmm, actually a lot) early September when temps were dropping to 0 and then some rain then planted more at two week intervals. All outdoors. Most ended up male's and then the female's I've got tend to attract spider mites and leaf borers. Must admit I was expecting a little bit more than what I've ended up with on harvest. Averaging 7 - 10g per plant. 15 Strawberry Vostok autoflower planted the other day and some showing life so let's see. Damn weather needs to make it's mind up. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  6. Day 36 12/12. Still water only with molasses now and again.
  7. Congratulations. An accomplishment in your neck of the woods. Some nice pubs and especially the hotel that served the best babootie in the country. Not sure of the name but apparently it was the RAF pilots hangout during the days. And the original Pig & Whistle. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  8. Day 29 12/12. Those damn spider mites. Spotted some on a section of the plant so snipped all contaminated branches and leaves and gave a good dose of Biogro bioneem. Then what looks like a nitrogen deficiency. Some Epson salts added to the last watering while I figure out what to do. Other than that I'm pretty chuffed with my first attempt at using a net.
  9. Howzit. Have a look at @Light It Up they have a special on a 240W QB. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  10. DAMN [emoji2764] MITE'S!! Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  11. Two seeds planted. Two seeds germinated. Two seeds male. This diary is now closed. I'll be planting the rest in the shade house as the nights are getting warmer.
  12. Day 22 of 12/12. Not much stretch this week. Everything seems to be ok and no signs of any lurking problems.
  13. Cheers man. Do I actually need to get a cartridge for this or do you put the oil in the chamber between the mouthpiece and battery? The person it belongs to does not remember adding other parts to the pen. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  14. Had a friend over today and she pulled this out. She smoked oil out of it about 5 years ago and has forgotten how to use it. Consists of a stem which is the battery. A USB to charge the stem. A mouth piece and a chamber the mouth piece fits into. In the pics the mouth piece part still has residue but the chamber it fits into is clean. No branding. Any info on how to use this will be helpful.
  15. 1 - 3 Orgasoilux 4 - 6 FF soil These girls live in the garden during the day wind permitting. During the night they chill inside under 30W.
  16. Cool. Everything from bottom net upwards I'll be leaving. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  17. I'm busy with a grow using a net or two. I won't call it a SCROG as I had a plant that I'd taken cuttings from and the resulting shape was shouting ' experiment with a net '. Placed a net 200mm above soil and let the plant grow through. Tucked leaves and flipped to flower. Week 1 I tucked leaves under first net again. Picking off big fan leaves here and there. It is week 2 of flower now and plant is reaching above the second net now. QUESTION TIME Do I defoliate everything under the first net now or can I wait for more growth and trim beginning of week 3? Then can I do a last tuck at the end of week 3?
  18. Bush life hey. Landlady just said diatomaceous earth sprinkled round the house keeps scorpions at bay. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  19. It's the eina scorpion, everybody out here has a paramedic or two on speed dial. Cape Cobra, well. We leave them be. If the population gets too large on the farm and we start seeing them in the shade houses first option is catch and release on a nature reserve up the road. Yes with permission [emoji6]. Last option is death unfortunately. Mole snakes we don't bother about. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  20. Day 15 of 12/12. She's healthy with no signs of deficiency or pests yet. Very thirsty lady. Scorpions are back not to mention the Cape Cobra's outside.
  21. Snail poison man lots of snail poison. Those blue pellets. Put poison on a piece of cardboard, cover cardboard with earth to weigh it down and to prevent whatever is in poison leaching into your soil. Cardboard - layer of soil - poison. My outdoors are in pots so I just chuck poison round the pots. A fuck ton of poison. Tried everything short of chicken's and geese but they just gonna cause havoc somehow. 22. The bag size has to be manageable weight wise for me. Anything over 30kg becomes a back problem. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
