  1. From someone who has only been growing indoor for a year. Started with cfl's first grow. I was happy, hey I smoked my own home grow even if it wasn't pukka shit. Started investigating led's with the help of the forum and very quickly invested in QB's entry level bars available from @growopz for a few hundred bucks more. Best move ever. My first few grows I maxed my cabinet with as many plants as possible, trimmed, butchered and mutilated them under 1 overworked QB75. Over time I added to my light set up bit by bit, not that expensive if you able to save a bit instead of going to the pub or buying that pack of fags. I now have 2 x QB75's and an extra 30 watts side lighting. Back to the lights. I learnt the hard way in some people's opinion but that's me. I know what I'm talking about now. Check what diodes as there are a few good ones then the not so good ones. Then stick to what the light manufacturer recommends concerning cover area. 35w needed for 1 plant. I stand corrected on this one. So yeah, try and get more details on the light. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  2. Awesome. Hemp has so many possibilities not to mention employment opportunities. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  3. Is planting outdoors now not like flowering from seed? The plant takes a couple of weeks to develop then straight into flower. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  4. A cottage is becoming available but Sgt. Koeckermoer and his wife are moving in. He's not concerned about us, private property he says besides he loves the place and our midgets are the same age. Got other kak to worry about. Neighboring farm has a cop with 2 attack dogs. Feeling pretty safe lately. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  5. She usually grows auto purple haze for her MS. Lockdown on the reservation has been long and we soon cleaned out her stock. Hence the reason for the plantation. Re stock. [emoji16] Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  6. The other day I noticed a seed developing on one of my shade house plants. Not too happy as I've worked hard to keep males out of my grows. Then I remembered my landlady and her helper have also planted a massive grow, about 50 plants in flower at the moment. Off I went, found Alfred and took a look see at their grow looking for males. No males as he says he pulled all males about a week ago. Damage done. BUT What I did also find is one off the Jack Berry that I'd given a few seeds to him to plant. That's her next to him. 8. Yep. This year I am only concentrating on local genetics. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  9. And I'll say yes. I for one am on the hunt for SA breeders and genetics. I see no reason why I need to import when the locals are starting to make waves on our shores. Fair enough breeders are bringing in seeds from over the pond but are they not then working on breeding them for our climate?@Totemic , @Bay Seeds and @Daggafontein Genetics have all supplied top quality seeds with excellent germination rates. The hunt continues. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  10. Likewise bud. Saving it for the first outdoor harvest which is gonna be the Glamberry from @Bay Seeds in 2 weeks or so.[emoji3166][emoji109] Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  11. No idea what momo is, gonna have to Google that. My mother, my wife (fiance at the time) and myself were walking around the waterfront when my wife spotted BOB. Without thinking she blurted out ' there's our bong '. We'd been looking for a bong for awhile. Next thing my mother walks into the shop and buys it. Bring Our Bong is what you'd usually hear my wife say before a braai. BOB. But I'm gonna enjoy this new one [emoji16]. Thanks once again to all. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you so much guys. Not often this peanut wins prizes so what a pleasant surprise when I logged onto the forum today. Mmmmm, I've a feeling BOB's gonna have to ride in the back seat for awhile.[emoji16] Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  13. I agree on the @Daggafontein Genetics and @Totemic seeds. 100% germination on daggafontein although I've only planted 3. Totemic seeds 42 from 45 germinated. Another local I've had good hit rates with is @Bay Seeds. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  14. All good bud thanks for the offer. I'd probably gift them forward anyway. Got a lot growing and plenty lined up. Someone once said: you can't get addicted to marijuana but you can get addicted to growing it. That's me at the moment. Keep well Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  15. That's a rough one@SoloKush. Too many companies these days refuse to bear the responsibility of faulty products wether they be manufactured or live that they stock. Easy way of getting rid of old stock or a batch they know to be faulty. Your experience is precisely why I'm scared to order online. Due to covid-19 our small company has been closed since February last year and looking like we'll have to final curtain call in the next few months. Events industry hey. So my wife and myself have decided to go online with our nursery, events hire and a grow related department. My wife has a good name in the industry after 13 years of stella service second to none. What we've learnt is that after sales service is more important than the sale and make sure you have suppliers who will back you up. So to restore your faith in the supply chain be it a corporate or a start up I would like to offer you some beans. I've got a couple of Barney's Farm Violator Kush and some local breeders feminized and regular seeds to soften the blow. I'm Cape Town based so if you up county maybe share courier fees. PM me if you keen. Keep the faith brother, keep the faith. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  16. CG x Slurricane in the first pic starting to develop some nice size buds. Pic 2 and 3 is the Bruce Banner I thought I had trained to death. I put it in the shade house to die in [emoji3522]. She bounced back with nice sticky buds and super sweet aromas. Number 4 is Glamberry x Lemon Jedi OG. Also looking good. Must say all shade house plants are loving the environment. 17. Week 4 The indoor nine are starting to get real bushy. The outdoor 33 are a week behind so I expect they'll be flexing their muscles this week. All looking healthy. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  18. Yeah thanks bud. We've been having some cold evenings lately. I took a few cuttings a while back so I'm thinking maybe a winter grow and see what happens. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  19. She's been in flower just over 8 weeks now and the buds are nice and dence. Not sure if it's turning a bit purple. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  20. I signed in via the website. Give it a try Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
  21. Whoop. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
