Thanks Bud. I have 8 that I'm pushing through with, wasn't expecting all the seed's I planted and chucked outside to germinate and then half ended up female. Happy with the outcome though considering the very first light was a lead light with a 22w led globe. Gonna stick to 4 next time. Outdoors is upon us again though. Preparing the ground for a herb garden with companion plants and I'll chuck 4 in amongst them and hope for a 100% female then pray for 50% hit rate. Then some in the shade house where I had a good outcome the last grow. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

I have a QB75 thanks to@growopz. The PSU Mean Well NES-100-24 I had lying around. Now I want to add 2 x 15w 4000k LED strips to it, the QB75 , which I know I can't do. Once I've saved up enough I want to replace the 15w lights with something from@growopz. My question is what would the ideal wattage be for my grow area of 1mx1mx1.6m be and what PSU should I use. Would I Daisy chain the lights or wire into the PSU? This venture into finding the optimal light is damn addictive man. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Week 13. 4th week of 12/12. Everything seems to have settled down now. I've stopped taking my plants out for their daily vitamin D under the sun rays. I think that was my leaf problems. Warm in the sun but there was still an icy chill in the breeze. One week under the light and they are looking much better bar a few small leaves at the base of the plants which I'm putting down to the light not reaching them. Busy germinating Durban Poison and Elvis at the moment using the paper towel method but it seems to be taking a long time compared to when I just popped them into seedling trays with soil so I've popped more into soil at the back of the cabinet. See how things go. Until next week then unless something exciting happens. Have a spliffing weekend all.

Definitely Bud. Hooked on@growopz products and most of all his service delivery. Hard to find these days. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Thanks@StickyD420 and @lll_evan. These friends of mine seem to think a bargain light is a good light. I'll stick to saving and upgrade with@growopz thank you. Appreciate the quick response. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Evening all. I was wondering if anyone has come across this light before. A friend is trying to palm it off on me but all he knows is that it is 1000w full spectrum. I don't really need another light just yet but if it's any good it won't hurt the wallet much.

Thanks@GGG. I'm leaning more towards adding them with the QB75 in the flower cabinet. I'll have a higher wattage lighting and still be within a reasonable Kelvin for flowering. Am I understanding this correctly? Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Evening all. I'm getting better at the technical chatter now. But back to the lights. So I've got the QB75 from@growopz which is good for seed to flower. Check his website out for details, it's half 3000k and half 4000k 75w. If I add two of those 15w x 1m, 24v, 4000k led strips that I have, is it going to change my cabinet grow environment. Meaning, is it going to lean more towards flower or veg. Don't want to be planning my setup in the flowering cabinet when the lights would be better suited for my veg cabinet which I'm running with 200w of cfl's. If I can add them with the QB75 using a different power supply it means I can add another 100x30cm to my grow area. Flower or Veg is the question. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Whoa bud. Loving the advice, have not a clue what foreign you speaking. But I got the idea. Don't overload. Once again, only good advice and help on this forum. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Eventually. I've got 2 x 1m 15w/24v led strips that are 4000k that I'm thinking of using. Thinking a PSU is cheaper at the moment. Just not sure if I should add it to the veg or flower cabinet. Still saving up for the next QB75 though. Thanks to@growopz for getting me hooked. And the advice from all you Bud's. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

I found one for photography that has a white balance option that works within reason. Called, wait for it, Light Meter by WBphoto. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Thanks@TheUltimateNoob. Yeah, I was planning on wiring directly to the power supply but thinking rather than overloading save up for another unit. Patience hombre, patience. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Week 12. Everything seems to have settled in the grow now and the plants have started to flower. I've still been taking the plants outside every day to get some sunshine. The bottom leaves still seem to be drying out and I'm in the process of elimination stage. My water pH is 6.5 and the landlady is gonna send a sample to be checked to see if it's heavy or lacking minerals. I won't be adding nutrition as I live in the bush and only get into town once a month if I'm lucky, so no buying stuff. And then I'm gonna leave the plants in the cabinet for a week to see if there's an improvement, I'm thinking outside conditions here is a bit harsh. Usually 10 degrees hotter or colder than Vape Town with either cold winds or on the other end hot and dry winds. I was considering adding some more light but that is also on hold till the next grow and until I've saved up for another power supply, learnt a lot about power supplies yesterday and don't want to overload the one I have at the moment. Okay, baby awake and nappy change time, till next week, over and out.

Shout out to all the electronic peeps out there. I have a mean well NES-100-24 power supply with a @growopz QB75 half 3000k half 4000k running off it for flowering. I have 2x1m led strips that are 15w/m, 24v, 4000k that I was thinking of adding to the power supply in order to give me more area coverage. The million dollar question is: am I gonna blow all my shit up? If I can (not blow my shit up but add the lights) that means I can add another 300mm depth to my cabinet. That means 2000 bucks saved and a better light. Give me good news please bud's.

Hey Bud, thanks. I downloaded the app when everyone was raving about it the first time you posted it. I just don't know what units to use to calibrate the 3000k, 6000k and 9000k colour calibration as I get a N/A reading. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Hey there @afternoon blazer. How did you set the light color on the light meter app? I'm a bit doff when it comes to shite like that. I have an LED strip that I was told is possibly 4000k and would like to check. Please buddy.

Hey bud's. I've been reading into it a bit more and keep coming up with light burn or potassium deficiency. My plants started flowering and not sure if it's wise to repot at this stage. Anyone have 2 cents on this? Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Yeah the lower leaves. That's where the 9w 6000k led tube light was. Have since removed the light. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Morning@StickyD420. I don't think it's root bound. After my rabbits finished chowing the male's I wanted to see what the roots looked like and they still had room to grow. Am I wrong in cutting off the leaves that are super bad as they will be sucking up light that could be used on healthier leaves. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Hey there@Nibiru. Exciting times. Advice from one new upgrader to another. I have recently moved from 200w cfl's to 75w led or at least I think it's 75w (@growopz QB75). Anyway do your homework on distance from canopy. I think I burnt my plants from hanging the light to close. I'm hoping it's light burn though and not some sort of deficiency, easier to rectify. I won't give a distance as I am still trying to find the sweet spot by asking the bud's on the forum and researching. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Pics as promised.

Hey there bud. I should have asked first but obviously didn't. The first 2 day's I had it at 300mm when I noticed not all was well with the plants. The light is now 400mm above the tallest plant. The plants are more or less the same height. I leave the cabinet open during the day as I have not managed to get a fan in there yet due to budget constraints. So yeah, not much circulation during the dark period. My bad. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
