Doing my head in buddy. Really starting to think it's my phone. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

I'd love to @GGG. Unfortunately I've used up my Tapatalk photo upload limit for the month. I've gone into the growopz website and what I've got is the QB75. Pics will follow when possible.

Hey there all. Picked up my light from growopz today. I think you call it a grow bar, anyway 144 LED's half 3000k and half 4000k. Due to my not so great power supply I'll be getting 73w from it as I understood. What would a good height above plants be and amount of plants under it. Any other tips and hack's would also be greatly appreciated. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Morning. I have sorted out uploading pics on Tapatalk but still seem unable to upload via the web page. I get to the paperclip image ' click to choose files ' prompt and then nothing happens when I click on the prompt. I have tried everything short of restoring factory settings on my phone. Running out of ideas and not sure if I'm doing something incorrect. Please help me. -
Ok, I've used my allowed photo uploads on Tapatalk for the month. Back to trying to upload on the web page and I am still not able to. Will carry on with the story once I've figured it out. I get to the upload prompt and nada. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Week 5. I'm at the stage now of watching and waiting. The plants under the LED under counter lights seem to be stretching faster than the ones under cfl's. I'm putting this down to using the incorrect lights and distance from the light. Still looking good. Of course I'm gonna say that, what do I know about lights. Time to get doctor Google out and my research starts with earnest and that's where I stumble upon the forum. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Week 4. Everything still looking good. I'm at the stage where I'm battling to get my plants under as much light as possible. We have a new born and nappies are the priority at this stage of lockdown, no income in over 2 months now. Need a plan for more lights. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Going into week 3 since I popped the plants under lights. The previous pics are to show the cabinets and not the plants. Everything still looks fine and I'm, mmm what's so hard about this, just need to get a few more cfl's and Bob's your uncle. The plants are on 18/6 cycle as I am not sure what the electricity bills gonna be, I was thinking about leaving the lights on 24 hours straight. As with the grow set up improving so was the moonshine still being upgraded.[emoji2957] Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Please do. After being sucked into the grow it became one of determination. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Time to convert 2 more cabinets. Friends helped out with cfl's and fittings lying around and I bought a few when there was change after nappies.. Tight budget. So now I had 1 x 85w, 5 x 20w cfl's and a led tube light that I juggled around over the next few days. So far the plants are still looking good, one or two have slightly browned tips. But I'm well stoked. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

2 weeks later I transplant into pots using home grown/made soil from the farm/nursery. The soil is: Coarse sand Compost (cow, horse and chicken shit, fynbos greens leftover from the propagation operation, coir, cinnamon powder, ash, those small slow release fertilizer balls and small bits of bark) which I tend to pull out as I read it messes with the nitrogen. Now I need more space as I have 15 plants. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

This is a back dated story of me finally starting a cabinet grow. There are going to be a few "What the *$#k is that dude doing" moments so feel free to comment. The grow is all about learning. Lockdown had just begun, although the wife's and my family company started feeling the pinch about a month before the shit hit the fan. I was sitting in the garage tasting my first batch of moonshine staring at the wall to wall cabinets. Right, I thought, time to give this indoor grow a go. Seeds that I had from my last outdoor grow went into seedling trays in soil, left and forgotten about. The moonshine turned out pretty potent. About 7 days later I walk past this seedling tray and all but one seed had popped their heads above ground. I was wondering what my wife had planted every time I walked pass this damn tray in an arb spot. MOONSHINE. Now I had to make a plan. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Hey there Bud's. I'm ready to let you all in on my crazy step into growing with lights. Under which heading do you recommend as I don't want to be bouncing all over the forum with the crazy but determined journey to where I am now. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Thanks. Yep it has the ballast. My friend gonna keep and use it. I've gone the route of getting a starter light that I can add onto later from growopz. Shout out to all for the help. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Don't expect much. I am just chuffed that growopz got me going on a really tight budget. A step up from cfl's and something I can add onto at a later date. How many more sleeps, ma? Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

I gave him my cabinet size a my dismal budget keeping in mind I have a power supply. He gave me 2 options, diy and plug ( wire up ) and play. I opted for plug and play. Not sure what, I left that for him to decide on what my power supply is capable of. I'll start a back dated photo journal soon. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Super excited. Sounds like Growopz has something for me. Man, I'm gonna be like a kid waiting for the tooth fairy to see when I can collect. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

To be honest, I wouldn't know. At one stage I used a water feature pump, tiny one, and 20mm pipe for a different reason at the nursery and I was pleasently surprised. Give it a go. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

Hey bud. If the tanks are SABS approved and of the colour variety, ie: green, you good to go. 5000l will keep you going for a long time. It is a good idea to rotate the water from one tank to the other if you can. After about 2 week's water goes flat so this process aerates the water. Or find yourself one of those fish tank air thingy majiky's and drop that in your tank, switch on every now and again and you'll be ok. If you have a pump, hook the hose pipe up and circulate the water back into top of tank. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

I think you all should go light up and give yourself a pat on the back. I have learnt FCUK tons on lighting over the last few days. On my drive back into the wilderness today I decided I'm going diy with growopz seeing that I have already started chatting with him. If my budget stock is not available, well then save and wait and upgrade that way. Give me time to figure out how to start a thread and I'll let you in on my crazy but determined journey to here. Thanks everyone, I'll figure out how to @ a person. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk

No. It's some dude that orders from overseas somewhere and mail's to you. Don't think I need a middleman to do that thanks. I'd rather buy 2nd hand of the forum than part with cash and possibly not get what's advertised. Sent from my DRA-LX5 using Tapatalk
