Awesome also thought about getting these. I think these are the first autoflowers Ethos created, right? Anyways I am looking forward to see how they turn out.
-
@zolrookerThey're looking nice and bushy! No power since Tuesday? Man I am already annoyed with loadshedding and I'm not even growing indoors... Hope your power comes back on soon.

Hi and welcome @Raf! Hope your ladies will compensate for the male. Besides using males for breeding there’s little you can do with them. Kill him with fire

Welcome @SoloKush, I am sure you'll like it here. Nice setup! I also grew 5 Critical +2.0 a few years ago. I liked it so much that I'll grow it again this season.

@DavidBWe've got Biltongandbudz on board and so far I only heard good things about them (haven't used them yet). I can recommend Trophy Seeds too. Never had a seed that did not germinate yet.

MOAT !... I want it...and live in there!

Me again . I wouldn't use the stuff from builders. Try to stay away from granules as they are slow acting. In case you add too much it's going to be difficult to correct it. I haven't used it though... Bloom booster are also a tricky one which I would only recommend if you really know what you're doing. I think molasses or biobloom (which contains lots of molasses) would be best. Oh and if you're looking for boosters maybe check out topmax from biobizz. Not very cheap but I had good results with it.

This is something I want to try soon. Seeing that you do teas it might be something interesting for you too. https://www.jamiesgardenshop.co.za/shop/vermi-phos-2-5l-r250/

Hi @zolrooker, I am not too sure about your feeding plan but I am sure someone will chime in soon. What I wouldn't do is feed the fish emulsion during flower. It's high in nitrogen and therefore more suitable for veg. I heard that the flowers taste like fish if you feed that stuff late in flower. Biobizz bloom is definitely a good choice. Kelp, Molasses and compost tea should be fine for flowering too.

@Prom,then I am sure you'll enjoy it ! Never heard about another breeder with that strain.
-
The first time I smoked it I felt like being on another planet. It's a great smoke I can really recommend. When I saw this strain first I thought "what a crappy name" and then I saw the breeders info about THC content. Then I saw some really good reviews on leafly and decided to give this strain a go to see for myself. Very nice Sativa high.

Yes, you're right. Once one of these sacs opens the surounding plants will be pollinated and you'll end up with seeds in your bud. If I were in your shoes I would chop it asap. There are also people that take the sacs off, but I would play it save. Sorry man wish there would be another way. How many plants do you have in there again?
-
@DankWhat a beauty! I'll grow simple wedding cake this season and hope it turns out similar.

Hi @SAgrower I see what you're worried about. In the first pic right on top it seems like you got a pollen sac... I hope I am wrong. Can you make a picture from another angle?

Super Soil / Living Soil PH test?
Fridge replied to Fridge's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
I have no drains but I make sure no rain can get in and that it is moist in there but not soggy. Also thought about just making a pile but I am worried that all this rain is going to wash out the nutrients over time so I decided to go with the containers for now. I mix it through every 1-2 weeks to give it some ventilation though. So far no fungi . -
Nice one @afternoon blazer! I love Amnesia and lately my Inzane in the membrane (got the idea one of the parents must be an Amnesia). For the evening my favourite is Purple Afghan Kush. I hope to find new favourites this season .

Super Soil / Living Soil PH test?

Glad to hear you're better . Yeah the containers are outside but in a spot they'll get sunshine. Cool I'll just go with the flow then and hope it'll be alright. -
Super Soil / Living Soil PH test?
Fridge replied to Fridge's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
Good to see you're back @Prom! Hope your gaul Stones are gone? I mixed it in the beginning of June, but will only use it on the 1st of October. -
Hi everyone, I mixed my soil a while ago and wonder if I should do a PH test to see whether I am in the right range. Somewhere I read it's not really important to do so with living soil / super soil as the microlive helps to regulate the PH. I do not own anything that I could use to do a test and the tools that would give an accurate reading are a bit expensive. So far I grew in FF soil and didn't have to bother with PH. I just don’t want to germinate my seeds just to figure out there’s a problem with the PH of my soil mix. What is your opinion on this? Am I overthinking it? Thanks for your input!

Awesome, thanks for the post! I haven't tried to make one yet as there aren't really plants to give it to, but I'll use your recipe when it's time to make some. Please let us know if you could observe any changes in growth of your plants @Bospatrollie2.

Hi @420SA, and all tea brewers out there, I want to brew my AACT too this summer and I think I decided to build an airlift brewer too. Do you think a 40l/min would also work? I just ordered the following pump. https://www.futurama.co.za/sunsun-aco-002-magnetic-piston-air-pump-40l-min/ Did you use 40mm Pvc tubing? -
Outdoor Soil and Nutrients
Fridge replied to BluntKnife's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
...oh and before I forget, the size of your pots determin the size of your plants. I grow my photoperiod plants in 40 liter pots.
