27 June 2021 - Flower Week 3 Coming along nicely. A few yellow leaves at the bottom but they still feel strong, and no browning. Nutes have been adjusted for the next 2 weeks for mid-flower.

20 June 2021 - Flower Week 2 Buds are becoming easily visible now. Pic doesn't do much justice but stretch is crazy

20/06/2021 Charlotte's Angel - Veg Week 1 Looking good, started feeding CalMag at 5.7 PH. Still under the CFL until second node shows full leaves. Durban Poison - Germination started 17/06 at 7PM Popped into a EazyPlug and into a humidity dome. Tap root looks weird to me - never seen it have a bulge before lol.

@MrE Argh so annoying. I let mine rest on the Scrog so that the pieces were still touching and left it. It recovered within a week. @GGG

13 June 2021 - Flower Week 1 Weekly update - One or two pistils are becoming visible. Plants have stretched a bit this last week

I also ordered some Dutch Passion Durban Poison seeds, will also be a SOG mother. So the thread will turn into a Charlottes Angel+Dutch Passion diary soon :D The Durban Poison plant will be about 2 weeks behind, hoping to have them & start germination on Friday. Won't make a difference in the long run.

13/06/2021 Growth has been pretty good, starting to add CalMag to water tomorrow. Potted into a red solo cup today :) Under the CFL until she's strong enough for the 90W LED. 9 days since germination started.

Plant came out slightly this morning but grew a lot during the day. Lights on now :)

Something else that I’m thinking about - breeding 2 clones and then pheno hunting with lots of seeds next year like @Prom suggested. I’ll be growing these CBD plants for years so just the seed production would be worth it to me

6 June 2021 - Flower started Weekly update - I flipped my plants down from 18 hours to 12 hours of light last night. Lights on is at 8:30pm - 8:30am as that's when it's the coldest in CPT from what I've seen. Ideally I would have vegged for another 2-4 weeks but I'm under immense time pressure (estimated harvest is between 25/07 and 08/08, I need them jarred by 20/08..) so I had to flip early as I mentioned in an earlier post. But I think that I will still be happy come harvest, as this is the first time I'm going into flower without experiencing any major health issues. I like having all of the control with coco, I think I'm going to stick with it. I am hoping for over 120g dry.. but we'll see. (the leaves might seem brown in some spots - I have checked and it's the weird light from my half working burple I got for free)

48 hours later - tap root is out. Really impressed with this seed, the tap root started showing about 16 hours after it was put into paper towels. The seed sank immediately in the glass of water so I decided to go straight to the paper towels. Been keeping it in a Tupperware that I wrapped up in a fluffy blanket inside an empty tent with fans off. Will plant into an EazyPlug in a humidity dome tomorrow.

Hey guys So I am planning on starting a SOG grow from clones of 1 or 2 mother plants, I think I'm going to start with Dutch Passion's Charlottes Angel CBD. But was wondering what you guys think? I put up a poll for a few different strains I have in my personal "seed bank" and also a few that I want to try. Which strain do you guys think would be best for this? (besides charlottes angel)

So.. this escalated quickly lol. I bought a second tent, Mars Hydro 60x60x140cm. This will be for the mother. Then I'll take clones and veg them a bit in my main tent then flip to flower. Not sure if I should lollipop yet or not but I'll get to that when the time comes. Then for now while I'm still looking for a strain that's perfect for me I'll give the mother to a mate so he can flower it and then I'll start growing the mother for the next strain I want to try out. Dude yes... this is me. I'm still two weeks away from flipping to flower in my current grow and now I'm planning the next one and buying second tents, lights, etc.. People say smoking is the addiction but for me its the growing

Ah right I forgot about taking clones from the clones.. but my issue is that I only have space for one tent until I move Unless I can find a tiny tent to veg the mom (like 50x50x50cm lol)

Say I didn't do this and wanted to keep the mother in my one tent with the clones.. would it be worth it/safe to reveg her and take more cuttings for the next one? or just pop another seed and grow out another mother?

Ahh okay I understand what you're saying. My thing is just that I can't afford to start with 9 seeds when using high CBD strains like these at over R300 per seed with a chance of some not germinating well. So that extra few weeks would be worth it for me. But yeah when I find a strain I like I'll get a bunch of regulars and pheno hunt, etc. Thanks
