Durban summer ain't no joke lol its only in summer my temps are so high.. I use to love the summer! Not so much now can't wait for winter from May onwards my temps average 25 to 27 and I'm at peace also my 5X5 is jam packed , the pic below still had 3 plants taken out prior to taking that pic

@Dookie69 hey man thanks pointing me in euca direction, they don't seem to have the one you showed above but another model , will post a picture of the 1 i saw.. I'm basically using Co2 for the exact reason you are.. what regulator are you using ? And what are the technicals on your regulator? How much gas do you release ? And what space ? I still have to read up on how to use the regulator on tank im just so busy with so many projects and not enough time.. your info would be great brother

Lol! Busted! The truths has a way of coming out.. If this info saves alot of growers and esp new growers from bad experiences and money lost then everybody should know.. just my opinion tho.

The Ac runs 23 hours a day and the lights 18 to 19hours a day.. Lights 1040watts at full throttle and ac 1.5kw and 30cm desk fan and 2 clip ones too blow over legs.. Total monthly charge for grow stuff alone is around 2k on top of the normal monthly bill.. I have not bought weed for a very long time and that always puts that big smile on my face..

@Prom thank you for all the valuable info and tips I've made alota notes already from all your posts on this, much much appreciated! I will be hard at work dialing everything i won't rest until I get it right i love a challenge like this.. I hope the Ac will handle the heat , I just pray the Co2 will compensate a little if the temps do increase over 31 or 32degrees. I get an average temps of between 27 and 32 without Co2 in summer with excellent results (1.1kg dry) and TOP quality bud.. so I pray the Co2 compensates for the heat. I can open a window and 2 doors in the new space incase I need to clear the air out very fast.. but you know until you get your plants in there and let it run i can only pray for now lol

@Prom oh lights off humidity does rise with the ac on but its not much coz of the ac , average increases of 5 to 7% which is lights on humidity is 50% to 58% depending on the light intensity so lights off it increases 56% to 62%
-
@Prom you are absolutely correct about the humidity, i had troubles in the beginning with humidity.. it took me a while to find the right set up. The other space where my 5X5 tent is extremely similar to the new grow space except that its a tent inside a room which and the new space is the entire room. In the tent set up I run a portable ac unit outside the tent feeding cold air via ducting inside and I leave the top of the tent open about 20 to 30cm and I have two windows behind the tent open one for venting hot ac air and one for fresh air and the room door is constantly left open for air flow.. ive noticed that light and intensity can lower your humidity alongside the ac so I've learnt how to get into that sweet spot. And ever since I just apply what I've learnt to the situation and it's always a good result, ofcourse you have to have hiccups here and there and every day is a learning day I have a couple of friends who are not growers but they footing the bill for the equipment and what ever else i may need coz they smoke like chimneys! oh and growing cannabis is really therapy for me literally its a win win

@Prom 320 watt X 10 320watt panels = 3200 watt with an excellent spread over the area.. I do have 2 additional panels which I might put up in flower I'd think that would be enough.. ive gotten good results without Co2 , last harvest in a 150X150 tent I yielded just over a gram a watt and was running 1040 watts of quantum boards. The new space has a 12000btu air-conditioning unit as that space gets quiet hot as the sun hits it from the outside for most of the day like up until 4pm , also Co2 would be good coz of the generally high temps in the new space.. so with the heat the 10paneps and ballast give off+the natural heat coz of the location of the space. With all of that said its ultimately a sealed space so Co2 would be the only option the above are just benefits using Co2 but I think it all fits in.. Please I would appreciate all the tips and tricks you can give to me

@DamDave All good brother! So what I did is I emailed Jerry directly from fastbuds explaining my predicament about the seeds I bought from one of their distributors here in South Africa.. I also left a trustpilot.com review for fastbuds about my predicament with one of their South African distributors and also said that the other South African distributor sacred seeds were willing to replace my single fastbud seed that didn't germ from a 3pack ( I didn't take sacred seeds offer tho as was just 1 seed from 15 that didn't germ) Let's hope I can get some assistance from them.. I explained and complained truckload about how they have treated me so far and that these guys are dragging their name in the mud.. Cheers guys
-
@DamDave hey man really sorry to hear about your company, covid has taken a huge toll on alot of good ppl! Wish you and the wife the best with your online venture.. mayb send us a link when your active and we can check it out , spread the word as best as we can.. Thank you for your kind offer , really kind of you! But I'm only doing autos ATM or would have taken you upon it. We need more good people like you.. I'd like to reciprocate and offer you a 3pack of lemonpie from fastbuds if you'd like ? I'm in durban so if your willing to pay for courier its yours.. ive got a good stock of autos on hand just not my favorite strain strawberrypie:( And yeah your could not be more correct after sales service IS EVERYTHING!! So far best service I've got from sacred seeds for seeds and hydroponic.co.za for gear , well for me anyway.. cheers man @Wulf i too 1st soak the beans ( i check em every hour and usually in afew hours 6 to 8 they sink as soon as they sink i transfer to a temperature controlled tupperware with optional vent holes with paper towels and this method has gotten me amazing results 97.5% to 100% so far with autos.. except for this run @Prom yeah man a couple of beans loss from a 10pack is acceptable.. but high losses should be replaced.. fastbuds themselves will replace thats what they told me.. they even sent out my 4k order twice coz it went almost 2months without receiving my seeds without fuss or hesitation and I'm SURE they have better agreements with our local seed banks to replace dud seeds.. I guess TROPHY SEEDS CAN DENY ME A REFUND OR STORE CREDIT AND STILL SUBMIT MY EMAIL AND GET A REPLACEMENT WHICH THEY CAN THEN SELL AS NEW STOCK AT MY EXPENSE...thats honestly how I feel.. grrr Thanks guys
-
@Prom they don't want to replace, Nico said that there's no guarantee on seeds, pathetic response in my opinion.. I suggest everyone STAY AWAY FROM TROPHY SEEDS AND DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.. unless you have no other choice.. Service from them is mediocre anyway.. Oh well you live and you learn every day.. @Wulf yeah there should be a standard like if a couple seeds out of a 10pack don't germ that can be acceptable but if 7 or more seeds don't germ and the other 3 did then clearly those 7 were inferior seeds and should be replaced or like you said be given store credit..
-
Hey guys thanks for the replies.. Well its a smallish space 3m X2.2m and completely sealed with aircon.. all factors are dialled in.. Lights are 10 panels 320 watt kingbrite quantum boards.. Not looking to increase yield with Co2 but if it does thats a bonus.. just need Co2 supp coz its sealed and they will get no other source of Co2 as wall unit aircons only recycle air they don't bring in any fresh air.. Has anybody used this Co2 regulator in my pic above ?

Hey Guys... So I ordered 20 Strawberrypie from Trophy.. Only 6 out of the 20 germed properly, I have had a 97.5% to 100% germ rate withbfastbuds seeds so far and I have germed a shit load of them.. 14 seeds were clearly duds as the other 6 are perfect.. I also germed afew big buddha cheese autos and afew gorilla cookies fastbuds and all germed.. So these 14 are clearly duds.. This is their response: Hi there. We are just the logistics department in charge of packaging and sending out parcels. We don't have grow experience but what we do know is that seeds are not guaranteed. As with anything in nature it unfortunately cannot be guaranteed. From our side Seeds are kept in the right condition for storage (temperature and humidity as well as away from sunlight and everything that is required) there are millions of factors that could have contributed to what happened. Well I'm frustrated at this.. any suggestions? I had 2 seeds out of 5 from sacred seeds that didn't germinate and they offered to replace those seeds with absolutely no issue.. no that is excellent service.. So am quite disappointed with Nico with this.. Guys pls beware and speak with the seedbank before ordering.. 3k seeds down the drain

Hey guys so I ordered seeds from fastbuds themselves as they were having a sale (what ever you ordered they will double so if you ordering 5 packs of 3 seeds each they will give you another 5 packs of 3 seeds each free.. I couldn't resist! Placed order at end of August and seeds were dispatched.. a month later and still had not reached South Africa.. So I emailed and complained and they sent out a second batch of what I ordered.. and added a freebie pack.. Both packages arrived in November but due to our pathetic post office only got the slip to collect last week.. Anyhows I am sitting with a shit load of topshelf genetics from fastbuds.. If anybody is interested in any of these sealed packs at discounted prices pm me.. strawberry pie 4X 3seed packs Lemonpie 4X 3seed packs Gorilla cookies 4X 3seed packs Wedding cheesecake 4X 3seed packs Orange sherbet 1X 3seed pack

Hey guys I flush for 2 days just to give the plants a clean drink of water.. ive noticed when doing this the drying time is shortened from 8 to 10 days to 6 to 7 days well for me anyway.. smoke was a little less harsh when smoked immediately after drying than compared to no flush.. well again I say this is how its for me anyway..
-
@Ill_Evan well they were having a summer sale where what ever you purchase they double it.. So for me the 4000 rand worth of seeds I ordered would have cost me 8k here.. i can't turn down an offer like that.. And I've ordered many times in the past (afew years ago tho) from seedsman and had absolutely no problems..

@silverdelange email fastbuds 1st and if you are not getting any reply from fastbuds then go to this site https://www.trustpilot.com/ register its simple just valid email and password, then search for fastbuds and leave a review and include your order number.. this is what I did and got response on trustpilot and e response to my email within 2hours
-
@silverdelange oh shit you meant from fastbuds directly.. Well I placed my order on the 24 of August.. Still waiting.. The tracking says it left spain on the morning of the 27th.. I emailed fastbuds and Jerry replied saying because of covid19 blah blah it can take over 4weeks.. Did you email fastbuds ? What did they say? Apologies ignore the above post
-
@silverdelange got both my seperate orders delivered to me in durban within 5 business days.. Did you email them and what did they say ? Which area are you in ?
-

Anyway check out dubxxl on YouTube These are all autos hes mainlined.. He gives a step by stem for mainlining autos if any1 here is interested

Hey guys just thought I would update on the second batch of fastbuds seeds that I germinated. All 5 lemonpie germinated as fast as the 1st round, the one free lemon ak did germinated bit did not pull through no idea why tho.. Also got my 4 240 watt meijiu quantum boards in from China.. 3500k with far red and uv.. got 3 of em on at 40% power... Also these fastbuds seeds are freaking fast , the 1st batch of 5 already hit 6/7 nodes on day 18 and have been topped and started the mainlining process on the 1st 5 lemonpie Aiming for huge colas
-
@Bakstein420 So I popped another 5 lemon pie and a freebie lemon AK into some PhD water to soak for afew hours.. Let's see if I can get another 100% germination with these lil babies.. Gosh I hope they all germinate like last time
-
@Bakstein420 was wondering what the difference was.. thanks for the info ,always appreciated
