  1. Awe guys. So this is whats going down at the moment. Popped the bean in water on 24/09, dropped in coco/perlite mix on the 26/09. Sprouted on 28/09. The most recent pics were taken 2 hours ago. I'm on the 12/1 light cycle, shot @Toby for the inspiration Lights on at night for more control. The LED's raise the ambient temp by 2 degrees max and RH ranges between 40 and 65%. So I'm happy with that. For feeding I'm using the "Lucas Formula" and Nutriplex. Shot @cheese420 for that, she's responding perfectly to it AND here's your grow log If you've noticed that the bottom leaves are a bit fooked, that's because the initial nute mix (Nutriplex seedling mix on the chart) was a bit on the strong side for her. Currently she's still getting half strength mix (Lucas), which will be bumped up by the weekend. Also, she's not yellow, it's the lights ouens. To the mense who can shed some light without throwing shade, when do you feed silica and amino acids and how often?
  2. I'm actually thinking of doing that and following @cheese420's method
  3. Awe @budweizer, the forum has rules. Number 1 is that you introduce yourself. As far as the lights go, you can go to youtube and check out growmau5's channel. Everything you need to know is there. Trust me, you wanna check that out first. Goodluck bro
  4. Shot @cheese420, yeah, mine are small and pale. I read somewhere that healthy seeds have markings on them. Anyways, I'll put it down to a bad buy.
  5. @alemo, I doubt the way they were stored would impact their survival. I keep my seeds in an airtight container in the fridge with a few of those silica sachets and then in another dark plastic tupperware. @420SA, I'm curious, I've noticed all my bought seeds are alot smaller and lighter in colour than all the bag seeds I've come across thus far. Also they don't have any sort of markings like the nomal bag seeds. Is that a common trait with bred feminized seeds?
  6. Thanks @420SA, I need the link though
  7. Good info to have before I start my new grow. My 1st was rough coz I never knew if the nutes were right, considering I had a million other issues. I've attached the feeding chart I was using... Check it out @420SA Nutriplex_Feeding_Calculator.xlsx
  8. No grow you say... Lets see your schedule
  9. I had issues without the CalMag @cheese420, and my pH was always on point after I got my pH meter
  10. Are you mixing that up with 10L also @ajcapetown? I think I read somewhere that too much calmag in flower can cause other issues.
  11. Thanks @420SA. 24 hours in a shot glass with water, if they've sunken, I move them into moist paper towels until they germinate. It can't be my technique coz the hobos popped every time. I germ them together to compare.
  12. Shot guys. Thank you. I've given up on the seeds from GSR. 3 Northern Light and 1 Trainwreck failures. They didn't even germinate. All the bag seeds popped though. Such a bummer, coz I still have 3 more seeds from them. Peppermint Kush, Exodus Haze and Dr Grinspoon. No bucks for seeds right now. October is a rough month on my pocket.
  13. Awe guys, I've been kak busy today. Check my new possie. 190 x 60 x 60 87cfm axial fan 2 x Cree 36v CXB3590 LED cobs with active cooling. The LEDs are running at 50w each for now. This build is lekker stealthy, it locks, the fan is alot more quiet now because it's hanging from the ducting and not fixed to the cab. If I put a box over the ducting outside for scrubbing, it'll be quiet enough to come inside. Now all I need is for these KAK seeds from GSR to germinate
  14. Morning ladies. Those who use the Nutriplex trio, what are your feeding mixes like? I know you go according to what the plant is doing, but basics that work for fail safe veg and flower? Any input?
  15. I'm sure they'll be ok bro... fingers crossed.
  16. Happy Sunday ladies. I was walking through Superplant yesterday and came across this Bio Ocean soil. What do you okes think? Packed full of goodness, Bio Ocean is a soil and plant conditioner, manufactured by composting seaweed, fishmeal, humic acid and poultry manure. The key ingredient seaweed, contains a range of naturally occurring minerals and growth stimulants which help maximise plant growth. It is also known for its ability to retain moisture and increase the moisture level of the plant’s cell sap – in turn increasing the plant’s ability to resist frost and heat stress. Bio Ocean will retain up to 120% of its own weight in moisture – significantly increasing the soil’s ability to hold onto water. Bio Ocean increases resistance to pests and disease, stimulates healthy growth above and below the ground and generally improves the well-being of your soil and plants. Bio Ocean is ideally suited for establishing new plants, feeding of herbs, vegetables, flowering plants and for use on indigenous plants. Premium non-chemical fertiliser- organic and environment friendly Added kelp and fishmeal, with naturally occurring growth stimulants Pelletised for slow, consistent release of nutrients and easy application pH Neutral Composted and heat treated which kills weed seeds and significantly reduces harmful bacteria - pathogen free with no germs, mould or bacteria Improves soil organic matter and increases soil water holding capacity Convenient and safe to use Will not burn seedlings or plants N 27 Mn 0.58 P 17 Cu 0.06 K 31 B 0.05 S 9 Mo 0.005 Ca 35 C 109 Mg 7 Humic Acid 30 Fe 5 Fulvic Acid 172 Zn 0.51
  17. Awe @cheese420, when you order again, I'll give you some cash for my seeds I'll cover shipping! Dude, I'm a fatty, do you know what they do to fatties in jail? Naai, I'm gonna give it a shot sometime soon. Did you pay with your card or cash? Sorry @Heisenberg, don't mean to jack your thread.
  18. I must check, it's either 40 or 45w cfl's. Got it at eagle lighting. They were like R150 each. You're not in Cape town hey? Else I believe cape mail woulda busted your package. The ouens mos have a work around for shipping, they send to someone in jozie, then courier it down to cpt, but I don't know anyone in jozie, so I dunno if I'll risk it. How long did it take for the seeds to come?
  19. Welcome @Blazed. What I've learnt here is that weed is your friend, it just grows. The mense here are duidels and you'll learn a shitload. There's no such thing as a stupid question so feel free to ask anyone. You're in good hands. As you go along, you'll get to know you plant/s and questions will become less frequent. As Cheese420 said, you can check out my 1st grow. Lotsa noob errors, but I got better with time. Looking forward to your grow journal pal!
  20. Awe @Heisenberg. Glad to have you back my nigga! Just a thought, instead of 1 150w cfl, why don't you get 2 or 3 45w CFL's, you can pack them in there for better light spread. I'm looking at getting 1 or 2 seeds from a proper bank too, but that postage story still finishes me hey! #kakbang
  21. awe, i see bro. Yeah, scrog does take some time...
