Yeah, I'd like to know too

Thanks GLO. I'm guessing they're sativa dominant coz of the thin fingered leaves. I won't be planting bag seed again, too much unknown factors to deal with.
-
Sup guys, quick question. I'm in week 3 of flower, buds are forming nicely. After the stretch, do they still grow vertically or do they just pack on weight bud wise?
-
@Dabtzar, that was the hermies roots. I'm not gonna carry on growing it.
-
@Skolley, I already have some nice ones, I suppose it was the excitement
I've been shopping over the months. I have northern light, peppermint kush, trainwreck, exodus haze and dr grinspoon.
Indeed @cheese420! Yesterday I looked it and thought, shit, I have a problem... Ended up being a good thing.
Check the roots on this thing!

Can I live in your yard? I love it!

Ok, 2 down, 2 left...
@kimcarsons, it was bagseed... 1st grow, I'm learning, so it's all good.
I'm relieved though, coz I really didn't have space for all of them, flowering is crazy, they grow so much and so fast!
Shot for the confirmation guys!

Thanks for pointing that out @cheese420. I'll definitely look into it, also, I'll only pH up if I go sub 5.5
-
@Heisenberg, I've never tried oils, but I did puff and consume edibles while on treatment. Worked wonders with nausea, lack of appetite and sleep. The meds prescribed to me for nausea just made me worse. The green basically made me feel like a person again.

Yip @cheese420, I got a cheapie with ATC from designer water. R395 incl postage.
That pH down stuff is strong hey, 1 drop took the pH from 6.3 to 5.4, 5 drops of pH up to get to 5.9

Going on what I've seen with them, they're still crap in soil or liquid. The readings are always different, but I estimate within the range it gives. Hopefully I'll get my pen today, then I'll burn that meter

@420SA and @GLO, what I was saying is that because my medium was drier than before the root growth exploded in comparison to the soil that was over watered. The roots were basically circling the bottom of the pots. After the pot up, the roots showed at the base again after 3 days. Anyways, that's just what I found with my girls
I haven't potted up since then.
-
@cheese420, what I've noticed with my grow, I also potted up into a bigger one that I should have, growth was slow, I also over watered in soil. When I switched to coco I was already watering alot less, I think because I was letting the coco dry more than it needed too, the roots quickly filled the new pot in search of water, after 2 weeks I had to pot up again. Since then I've been watering more often, but with less water, sorta keeping the medium moist but not wet. They seem to be happier with that. They get 500ml a day, there's about 100ml run off per plant. Alice, has less run off, about 40/50ml. That's just my findings though...

Good idea on the eye drop bottle @Skolley! Totally feel you on sticky syringes, I use them at work, such a mission when they stick.
I'll try the pharmacy later, but at the same time, I'm not going to try the pH down without the pH pen. I've been missing around enough with out it. I may just cause more problems down the line.
So what do you think, if it's not a gnat problem, lock out?
-
Shot Skolley, I actually checked it out last night after you suggested the gnats. No sign of any critters, that was with the fans off. I'll keep monitoring though. Do you think I could get those pipettes at the pharmacy? I ordered the pH up and down and it arrived yesterday. Thought I could use a syringe, eish.

Sup @cheese420, I've been using that shitty thing all along, tested it on lemon juice between readings, it wasn't off by too much, but still not close enough to what we want. Anyways, pH pen's in the post so hopefully this will be the end of the issues. Used lemon juice in the water to bring down the pH, I'm not brave enough to use the actual "pH down" without the pen. Have you ever noticed how heavy that bottle is?
-
Your guess is as good as mine @Skolley. Those leaves do look like one of those google searches. I'll investigate some more, but I haven't seen any bugs of any sort in my cab to date. I check under the screen everyday coz I have to tuck often. Anything special I should be looking for? Shot for spotting it.

So over the last few days I've been battling with what I thought was a CalMag deficiency, but when I noticed shit was getting worse I did some more research. Turns out I have a pH issue... and a rather kak one at that. Possibly even lock out.
Measured the medium on Monday. pH was around 6.8 with a shitty meter, so I've been flushing since then, +-10 liters a day with water pH'd to roughly 5.8 with the shitty meter. So far, so good, they're looking better than before, colour seems to be coming back. The pH is now roughly 6.2
The leaves I plucked this evening. The reading's from Monday

Nothing from me this month @420SA, my plants look like kak, pH problems...

@420SA, how often should I be flushing in coco? Over the past 3 weeks I've mostly been feeding at 5.7, runoff is at 5.9. I do let it fluctuate to about 6.3. How will I know if there's salt build up?
