I have two plants(of 6 plants) that’s exhibiting the same deficiency. there’s somewhat white specs on the leaves and mild rust. the buds are also underdeveloped compared to the other 4. Although the two showing the same deficiencies are the same strain whilst the other 4 are different strains(all 6 fastbuds) my initial thoughts were potassium deficiencies but gave the two plants two full feeds and while they haven’t gotten any worse, they don’t look like they getting any better. Has anyone experienced these symptoms or have knowledge on how to correct them

Looks greats @The_StonedTrooper though, as long as the wires are not in the way and not in any risk of getting damaged

Looks really neat and organised! No clowning around in Psy’s tent

Day 54 today and fed the plants a compost tea again. This time I added oats, crushed barley, a bit of rock dust I crushed myself first had some fungi grow on my compost before brewing.

Ash and coal in the mountain area (Cape Town)

Hey everyone, forgot to update this thread but went last week Saturday and collected some coal and added about 10% to my soil. thanks for all your feedback, grabbed some soil as well to do a compost tea with probably this weekend. planted some butternut and going to adding broccoli and spinach this weekend as well -
@The_StonedTrooper @Prom my plant is bouncing back nicely since the change. the pic is same plant as the one I showed previously (with my hand behind it).

Yeah only have one fan at the moment, but will add another for my next grow. I have a small fan but using it for my veg cupboard. Have a Durban Poison, wedding cake, miss USA and Charlottes angel CBD vegging so I can send them straight to flower when the tent become available. but yeah need to improve my lighting as well as environmental equipment such as fans, ac cooler, humidifier but with limited funds, they will all come one by one
-
@Prom @The_StonedTrooper thanks for your help. I’ve switched the tent around and mounted the fan to the roof of the tent the two plants that was in the middle was the only two suffering from clawed leaves so just switched the plants around to make nice space, don’t think I need the net any longer was just to use to LST but the plants are well trained now so think they can go without it now
-
It was my thoughts as well, however, I am over watering though so could be a combination of both
-
@PromI only feed once a week because my soil is quite rich(or that’s what I think) but yeah I don’t ever lift my pots because of the net. when you mean lift your pots, do you mean that I must feel with my hand whether the bottom is wet? Thank you for advice, I really appreciate it, I’ve changed the timer to go off during the hottest times of the day. I also try to hold back on overwatering, just my concern is that I might lose my microbes by having the soil dry out completely which has probably caused me to overwater. ive been giving the plants 1l water a day with 500ml every second day in the 20l pots. I’ll try to give them 1.5-2l every second to third day.

True True. Okay thanks for letting me know think I change off time from 10am to 3-4pm - currently 19/5 lights on/off which should do it. Because normally the excessive heat is during 10.30/11am - 12pm. Normally goes off at 12

Hi all, some of my plants are displaying clawed leaves but literally only on the canopy. Not sure whether it’s nitrogen toxicity, wind burn or overwatering and would like to someone help identify it. I have been watering every day but by the next day the pot seems to be dry enough to water again. Don’t really want to not water and have the soil dry up completely. my temps do reach 29-30* but not longer than 1-2 hours a day.

Not a problem, I was gifted seeds on the forum so really don’t mind doing my small part. yeah I can get into contact with the winner and send it directly. Otherwise I’m in Cape Town if you’d like to send the hamper as whole and I can arrange to get it to you.
-
Great gesture by @The_StonedTrooper And to those who have contributed to the hamper. only came across this post now but if still possible to add to the hamper, I have 3 unused 20l fabric pots(green ones in the pic) Goodluck to all nominated

Week 7 started with a full dosage of bio boost and kelphos. Plants are stretching nicely and filling my tent nicely. Humidity and Temp has been good as well, nothing higher than 29* and humidity as high as 55.

The fact that synthetic nutes kills your microbes itself proves it’s essentially a poison but I’m not coming from a hating point of view as I smoke my poisonous cigarettes, eat my unhealthy meats, etc. So I’m the last the person that will stand on his high horse and say you must grow organically. However, we should(myself included) care what we feed ourselves, what we give our foods(plants) as all of these artificial made products are essentially a poison. With the increasing link between “artificially/synthetically” made products and cancer, it’s safe to say that there are byproducts which we consume through these foods/products. Or there are natural processes(we unaware of) that must occur which synthetic products can’t mimic which leads to them being harmful.

Isn’t this for the reason that coco is negatively charged which requires its to be buffered so by continuing to be reused you could end up with coco that’s taking all calcium magnesium you plan to give your plants?

there’s a beauty/art that’s there’s always an organic solution. I enjoy using organics because everything you need is readily available just takes a little effort and a more hands on approach. if I really wanted kelp, we can go down to beach, egg shells for cal-mag, different plants for your general grow and bloom nutes, etc. I’ve got organic nutes for the now while I’m learning organics, but started growing my comfrey, aloe, alfalfa, barley (not exhaustive list) that will eventually become my liquid fertilisers one day. Making my hobby fun, educational, exciting, never-ending research and the best factor - easy on my pocket and for a commercial scale saving tons of money. I’ve only grown this way and don’t have much experience(started Aug 2020) but to me it’s easier as well. Your plant and soil does all the work for you.

@Hein1978 welcome to the forum I haven’t tried it myself but have been looking into this for a vape base, and also read that glycerin can be your base for many edibles, however, like you said there’s contradictions in whats your potency and dosage strength. If you trying to get specific mg per serving then it would best to rather use a different method of extraction and add your specific amount of THC/CBD to the glycerin thereafter. when I give it go myself, I think I’ll first extract my THC/CBD using an alcohol extraction method and then add it to the glycerin to get a more specific dosage. If you’d like to just extract directly into glycerin then start with a small amount of glycerin. Test and see how the potency is and dilute from there should it be too strong. You can always dilute it down if too strong but will be difficult to increase potency.

Here’s my Charlotte growing nicely and just topped today. Left the undergrowth as they can make suitable clones when a bit bigger. I snapped a small branch of the undergrowth and trying to get it rooted.

Ash and coal in the mountain area (Cape Town)
Stefan replied to Stefan's topic in Organic Growing - Growing in soil
Couldn’t go today, so not sure either, was worried about that but definitely going through tomorrow morning so will see how it goes Will do, thanks for the suggestion. Don’t think I’ll be able to get any ash as it’s almost a week and guessing it would have been blown away by winds and/or found it’s way into the soil but definitely will grab enough coal to incorporate into my soil as per your and @ORGANinc. recommendations. Should I add some extra lime to balance out the ph should I accidentally go over the recommended amount. -

Whether my 100l drum comes back empty or not won’t change the fact that this is a good idea
