Yes. I have an ‘08 iMac24”, beautiful machine, stunning piece of solid aluminium architecture… Can’t browse many web sites because something or other is not supported anymore. There are YouTube videos where these machines can be loaded with Windows 10 and work pretty well. It’s on my 5 year plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks GLO. I had this same situation with a plant from a previous grow. Waited and waited for trichomes to amber and by the time they did the plant was practically dead. Smelled amazing but lost flavour and strength. It also Foxtailed but I didn’t know what that was or realised it was happening. I do as you suggest, I’ll harvest in a week’s time. This is the type of “tweaking” advice you just can’t learn off YouTube! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’ve read that, but what worries me is the trichomes are not turning amber yet and I want to try achieve around 30-40% amber. As I said they are 50% clear, 50% cloudy so maybe amber is a week away? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Misunderstanding sorry! I though you meant I should spray something on the bud, but reading your post again I see you meant I might have sprayed something on my buds. No I haven’t. Only thing maybe is too much light (too close to the canopy perhaps). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Interesting thanks. What would you safely spray on the bud? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Fam, is this new growth and white pistols the start of Fox tailing or normal bud growth? If it is Fox Tailing what can I do? Stats: Day 63 Blue Cheese Auto (Dinafem), F1 Coco/Perlite craft soil, GHE nutes, currently on “Ripen” 100% EC1.7 pH 5.8 via Autopot. In 1,2 x 1,2 open tent with 2 x Mars SP250 & 1 x 100 W Indorsun with far red. Lights hung 500mm above canopy. The usual fans / extractors. VPD is around 1,46 kPa. Leaf temp and air temp are similar, around 23 deg C and RH is 45%. Trichomes look 50% cloudy, 50% clear on the bud. No amber in sight. I’d appreciate some insight and brutal honesty here. Thanks for the advice! I’ll probably give it a day or two then snip the smaller of the two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Fam, has anyone seen this before? This Gorilla Glue Auto seed was a bit bigger than the other one, and refused to sink after 24hrs. Now it looks like there is a “mini-me” in the mix! Any advice? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes they lock together. Nice slimline connections which will not pull out. I’d like to have all kit in my tent on these connectors (5 year plan!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It might have been caused by tension on the cable, causing the terminals to “arc” and build up heat, melting the plastic. Once the plastic looses shape, as it melts, the terminals can move apart to the point where the distance is too far for the power to arc and it just breaks contact. If you are buying a new IEC (Kettle Plug cable) you can get really long ones, like two meters or more. You can also make one up with components from a radio shop. Some pro audio equipment makes use of “Powercon” connectors which twist and click so they can’t pull out (just some useless info) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

@PsyCLown at which plant stage do you start using the Blumat? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am using a CO2 setup. 100kg bottle has lasted 4 months already and it’s still got half left I think. The Suremix (food grade) CO2 cost R1000.00 CO2 in my grow room is easily adjustable. At the moment around 800ppm. Grow room is sealed off. The monthly rental for the bottle is expensive, around R300/month! I want to buy my own bottle sometime. I mainly use it to ensure sufficient ambient co2 is available, as Prom said it’s another mission to maximise its potential. I’m not there yet! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I use Autopots. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This has been a very educational post. I’m trying to work out how this applies to Coco/perlite (Freedom Farms F1) in Autopots. Autopots are meant to release nutrient enriched pH corrected water as each plant needs, with a more or less wet/dry cycle. However i think they generally over-water somewhat since the pots almost always sit in saturated trays. Some people fit a water controller to the res which only allows water to flow on a schedule; others elevate the pots slightly within the tray base on a little grid. I have taken to turning the gravity fed res off every third odd day, and then lifting the pot out of the tray the next day to allow proper drainage and aeration from the bottom of the pot. This mission is necessary till the plant starts to drink properly. Then the reservoir comes into its own. The wicking system which is how the Autopot works is from the roots up. This makes it the opposite way round to top feeding and watering. Also the medium goes bone dry at the top in early veg but you know full well it is saturated at the bottom. I’m not sure how this fits in with the “never let the Coco go dry” theory. Autopot instruct that flushing from the top down is not advised because the salts will go down to the roots. However I have found that maybe up to 3 top-down flushes per grow is beneficial, pH’d water with just FloraKleen (FlashClean) gives the plants a real pep up. Does anyone have any experience with the above situation? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great pics. Did you buy the Sonoff extension cables to lengthen the TH probe cables? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Man this controller is the bomb. It’s going on my wish list! It will work on my fans. Unless it’s already a feature, perhaps the next one will be WiFi enabled, allowing remote monitoring and control? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for showing us the Smart display. I wonder if the new controller will work on the old (model before Bluetooth) fans? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if it will suit you but I’ve used the Autopot system with the Air Dome successfully. Once running you can leave it for ages, depending on the res size. I’ve done 5 days on a 50l res. It’s main drawback is that the res feeds all pots the same nute mix so if you have newer plants or some that veg later (I’m talking about auto’s now) then it becomes a bit of a hack. Probably ideal for clones from the same mother. I’ll get there eventually. Here you can see my 9 pot auto pot system with water and air lines run. I’ve raised the pots on crates because my knees don’t bend so good anymore LOL. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Oh sorry forgot to mention. They are very very strong and even on speed 1 or 2 they create great negative pressure in the tent. They are silent up to speed 3 or 4 and then it’s like a jumbo jet taking off! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you can afford it I recommend AC Infinity. They have an external controller with multiple speeds and a probe for temp and humidity control. The new ones have Bluetooth connectivity plus a feature which I dearly miss on my older ones, which is the ability to set a “base” speed, so even when temp and humidity are within the set limits, it still ticks along, sucking new air in. With the older ones like mine, if your lung room is stable and your tent is stable within your limits set, the AC infinity will remain off (0 fan speed) which isn’t really great for air turn over. You can run anything off the Sonoff switchers, however you will need a contractor / relay with the Sonoff for heavy current like a geyser. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
