  1. You can also sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth over your soil as an extra preventative to keep the pests at bay
  2. You need to protect your seedlings outdoors. They are very vunerable during this stage. Cover seedling with a cutoff coke bottle top or fine mesh/netting until they are big enough to fend for themselves. Locusts/moth larvae are probably the culprits.
  3. I missed the Auto part...i read like an ass haha. Yeaa then definitely unstable genetics bru. Get in touch with the breeder. They need to know this kind of stuff.
  4. Outdoors would've made more sense for it could've been reveging but indoors i will have to say that it is a genetic defect, assuming that your light schedule was on par.
  5. Some classic stories here I started off back in 99/2000 with bag seed, garden soil and Sea Grow. It was highly illegal back then so growing one plant at a time felt like pushing the boundaries! Harvests were small but felt huge, being used to paying R50/bankie. Mostly got Swazi, Rooibaard, Transkei. When my rasta buddy started mentioning strain names like LA Confidential, Cheese, Pineapple Express, we all just laughed and thought that these were just some made up names for what we were used to getting. Knew nothing about all the different strains etc. No Youtube and smart phones then hey. Still rocked a Nokia 3310 until 2008. Good times Then came "higher grade" and prices started to sky rocket! Mostly Cheese as far as i can remember. Also had a Hawaian Skunk which grew into a huge tree. There was no way to hang dry on the property so the whole harvested tree was placed in his car's boot and we drove everywhere with this tree in the back of the car Only started studying the plant, strains, soil etc about 3 years ago with my first "proper" outdoor grow being Chronic(NL x AK47 x Skunk #1). She was a beast and that got me hooked on growing outdoors
  6. No stress brother. Will post better pics as she matures. Myself and @John Stonedwell are growing from the same batch and mine seems to express more Sativa characteristics. Kinda stretchy but not in a Durban Poison way and very strong branching with narrowish leaves. The dark green colouring is most probably from my very rich living soil but the plants seem to thrive in it. Shot
  7. Yo devil boy As mentioned above by the OG's, wait until most of the pistils turn brown and start curling into themselves, then you should be about 2 weeks from harvest. Leaves are also a tell tale sign. Most leaves will turn yellow or at least have a proper fade to them. Most effective still is to check trichomes. When 50%-70% of the trichomes has turned cloudy/milky and the rest have turned amber, you should harvest if you are looking for a stronger, more euphoric effect. When trichomes are ranging from amber to brown, this is when full maturity has been reached. Once trichomes turn amber they start to degrade in quality. By the time the plant is all amber and starting to turn brown, most of the THC has converted to CBN, which has a very relaxing, sleep aiding, couch lock effect. All is strain dependant and you have to experiment yourself to achieve your desired effect.
  8. Sorry to chip in but i will also vouch for OSG. This White Afghan Skunk isn't a super fast grower but she has strong branching with a potent Skunk odour already. 7 weeks from germination.
  9. Yes man! Works perfectly. Just be careful if using the big Wicket bags to not puncture the bag with rogue sticks/stems. This will defeat the whole purpose of the bag regulating humidity. Will definitely use them again.
  10. It is a long time. Try it with a section and compare it to faster cured bud. I still have some bud thats been curing in mason jars with Boveda packs for well over a year and allthough the colour changes a bit to a more golden brownish green, the terpene profiles and taste only get smoother with time. Effects didn't deteriate at all.
  11. The Greenhouse Seed Company guys recommend drying very slowly in humidity controlled room for 2-3 weeks then packing into paper bags at 8-10 degrees celsius for 3-5 months to remove the chlorophyl and other particles for the best taste. I personally used the Aeradix humidity controlled bags for curing my last grow and it works perfectly for larger amounts. Paper bags was used with high success 10 years ago and can still be used but if temps are too high it will dry your buds like biltong.
  12. Haven't tried fimming that early. Will try though.Shot. I always top at the 3rd - 5th node and feel it out from there.
  13. Fimming stemmed off topping. As far as i know it was discovered by accident when someone intended to top the plant but didnt top clean, leaving some the bottom growth leaves behind by cutting too high. It was observed that the fimmed plant grew more nodes from the partial cut than the clean topped plant(normally 2 new nodes will grow from 1 topping section). Fimming is less stressful than topping due to less growth being removed. Topping is still my go to for outdoor Sativas that wants to reach for the skies. It also creates a stronger, sturdier bush growth. Once
  14. Last thing. I've experimented with topping and fimming and fimming is not as effective in reducing stretch/vertical height than topping. Topping creates a lekker bushy structure
  15. FIM is instead of topping the node clean between the two off shoots, you top 3/4 off the growth, leaving a 1/4 of the growth behind. Hence Fuck i missed.
  16. I get you. I just feel that what this forum offers is worth much more than just a free thread. This is weed school man. Look at what guys like Cheeba etc charge for their courses. We get it for mahala.
  17. Adding to that. I am more than willing to contribute to a membership fee or donation to support this forum. Don't know how the other members feel about this. Scamsters will hopefully look elsewhere if it ain't free.

    Snails

Sprinkle salt around your pots or if you want to go Terminator on them, wrap sandpaper around your container.
  19. Thanks @420SA. Understandable. My red flag was triggered when i had a look at their Facebook page. They will just be added to my ignored users list. Have a laka weekend guys
  20. Howzit moderators. Just saw a new banner on the forum. Sticky Seeds. Has anyone used them before? I smell another Sonoma or Marijuanaseeds to be honest. If you are allowing these types to advertise for the sake of cash, ey your call but some naive poephol is going to actually spend his/her hard earned money on these rats, just to be schnaaid. I joined this forum because it is a core group of growers with genuine motives. Surely you can control who is allowed on this forum or not @420SA. Eradicate the vermin. Meant with all respect and please correct me if i'm wrong guys. Just gatvol of scamsters getting away with this shit while the rest of us have to graft our poese off to make a honest living. Peace
  21. Howzit bru. As much as i would like to support our fellow entrepreneurs, price will always be the deciding factor in determining which brand i would buy. Value for money is where it's at.
