Thanks Toby I will make sure to make regular updates here. Might be adding the LED in to the grow in about 2 weeks. -

Wasn't going to update just yet, but the plants were looking so happy I decided to take a quick pic. Here they are at 23 and 16 days. I will up-pot the bigger plants this weekend. -

Thanks guys! I thought I had put all details in, but now realise what a stoner I am. LOL! My medium is coco/perlite. About 70/30. I charge my medium with calmag, but don't think I put enough in this round. In veg I use a 600w HPS light, and then in bloom I will add 360w of LED as well. I've found that mixing the 2 gives excellent results. I did this for the first time last round, and was really impressed with the end result. Nice dense buds that pack a wallop! I've added more LED for this round, so hopefully I get even better results. We'll see. -

It doesn't get much better than that Reaf -
Morning Figured I would start a journal here and get a little more involved on this forum. Strains: LC-OG by Emerald Triangle (22 days old from seed) Some controversy over the genetics of this strain. It's supposed to be Chem#4 x Lemon Thai x Paki kush but is actually reefermans NL x Chems Sister x Sour Lemon Larry. Breeding was originally done by Zoolander. It is supposed to be legit. Lemon OG Kush by DNA Genetics (15 days old from seed) Lemon Skunk (las vegas cut) x OG#18 Blue Venom by G13 Labs (22 days old from seed) Blueberry x White Widow Topped the 4 older plants yesterday. I see a calcium deficiency on 3 of the plants. Gave them all some calmag this morning.

How do you dry and cure your harvest?

Give this method a try next time. It doesn't affect the smell or taste. In fact, it smokes a bit smoother. Probably because of the decrease in chlorophyll. -
Some beautiful plants you have there Cheese. Looks like you're going to have some nice fat colas soon.

How do you dry and cure your harvest?

Nah, I had some issues with PM on my last grow. Some of the guys in the states are big into bud washing, and pointed me in that direction. Worked wonders. They don't use it just for PM though. They advocate it for everyone. It's quite simple, but here is what you do: 3 buckets. One with baking soda, lemon juice and room temp water. One with hot tap water. The last with cold tap water. Once you've harvested and trimmed, you take a branch with buds and agitate it for about a minute in the first bucket, making sure not to bump it against the sides of the bucket. You don't want to damage those trichs. Then you just rinse off in the last 2 buckets. Place the wet buds on some paper toweling with a fan on them for about 30 min. Making sure to turn the buds once after about 15min. Then straight on to the drying racks or lines. They dry quickly, and cure well. I know it sounds counter productive, but the results are excellent. The idea is to wash off the crap your buds collect over an 8 - 10 week period. It also seems to wash some chlorophyll out, because the water is pale green when I'm done. Let me assure you that there is no loss in potency, and the buds sparkle with trichs. -
Thanks Tzar! Didn't even realise there was a new forum available until GLO told me about it. Just in time for my new journal.

Ok, read the rules. I am unfortunately unable to take a photo displaying my username and date, as that plant has gone the way of the bong and is no longer with us. R.I.P I can post a link to a grow journal, but it is on another forum, so I'm sure that won't be allowed. Reaf (GLO) can vouch for me. I understand if those pics can not be included in POTM. :thumbups -

I will get the ball rolling. This plant was from a grow about 5 months back. I do have a grow journal for it, but obviously not on this forum as I've just joined. Strain: Sour Chiesel by Big Buddha. This seed was actually purchased from Green Smoke Room. -
Thanks for having me, and I look forward to sharing a few grows with you guys. Just finished up with some Super Skunk, White Rhnio, Exodus Kush and Superb OG.

How do you dry and cure your harvest?
TrailBlazer replied to 420SA's topic in Harvesting,Drying & Curing
I just recently started bud washing. I love it. It's a little extra work, but the buds are nice and vibrant when done. They also dry and cure nicely. 4 days on the drying racks and then straight to jar. -
Cheese, my man, how you doing? I remember you from the good old days.

Hey bud. I used to be on the old forum before it got shut down.
