  1. Not necessarily, there are some good lights out there still using diodes, just ensure they using from reputable manufactures. Here is something to consider, an extract to read through to guide you along the way. When you’re choosing a grow light, ignore the specs on lumens. Lumen ratings are to measure brightness for human eyes. Pay more attention to specs like PAR and wattage as well as the manufacturer’s guidelines on coverage. PAR stands for photosynthetically active radiation. It’s the light’s intensity as well as what colors it emits. Broad-spectrum bright light will make your cannabis thrive. PAR measures light emitted in the 400nm to 700nm spectrum. That’s from the blue end up through red and into infrared. The higher the PAR number, the more useful the light is for growing. Some LED grow light manufacturers say their panels put out nearly 100% usable light. None of it is wasted by going to heat instead of light like metal halide or high pressure sodium lamps. Most manufacturers say something like their light covers 2.5 feet by 3 feet at a height of 18 inches. When you’re sprouting seeds, you don’t need intense lighting. But when you’re flowering, you will. Pay attention to those specs on area covered because you don’t want to be 8 weeks into growing and realize your light isn’t strong enough to encourage blooming. A panel that might be bright enough when hung two feet above your soil for sprouting a lot of seeds might not cover enough area when lowered down to 12 to 18 inches height for flowering. Buy your panel based on how many plants you want to bloom unless you’re only purchasing just for sprouting. In summary, look at these specs: Area covered PAR Wattage — How much power does the light draw at the wall? What’s your electric bill going to be? The higher the wattage the higher the yield in theory. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  2. Nice going bud, things are looking good and will flow nicely now that you have a veg and flower section. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  3. HPS above CFL all day. HPS vs LED is a tuff call as depends on what LED your getting. HPS will beat the old school LED all day, the new LED beat the HPS all day (gonna get a bit of slack for the last bit I suspect lol). Check out Growmaus for an indepth look. 4. Welcome Pat, have a wicked time on 420SA. Not as busy as 420int, but more like a family where we all try help each other. Enjoy your time off and stay safe brother. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk

  7. The main issue with a Hermie is than in itself. You don't wanna have that trait carried over to you grow as she could also Hermie contaminating you whole crop. If pollinated by a male you could grow a few out and select those that carry the traits you seek. You will have a lot of phenos though so it will take some hunting to get what you after. You will have to keep her as a mother plant or use her to make seeds. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks guys, always willing to help where I can. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  9. I'm following closely as the story unfolds, it's really dramatic and a real boost of confidence at the same time. I have a few friends and family who are in SAPS and I've been told of the change of heart from their part so it's great to see it in action. It however could take one asshole in the bunch that takes it upon himself to act indifferently whether it be a cop or a wannabe cop aka Mr NHW. I have a sneaky suspicion this is going to backfire in his face and my wife agrees [emoji3]. I'll give my comments once you've open up the thread, but I had to get that off my mind LOLz. Best of luck brother, and this family is sending positive vibes to your family [emoji6] Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  10. Sho Bru, I'm keen to hear your story so that we all can be prepared for what may happen. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  11. I don't think it's possible, well from Tapatalk it's not....I think Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk

  17. Shot brother, still a fair bit of harvesting to go so we haven't wrapped this one up as yet. I wanna get at least one of the SA to have a fair amount of amber trichomes so I have at least one plant that will hopefully put me on my ass at night Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  18. I fall for that everytime...and once again lol Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  19. DC dried and into jars. I'm freekin really pleased got myself a cracking 52 grams from the one plant compared to 21 grams on my problematic previous round. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  20. Gonna need some supports, especially for that sativa pheno. They stacking up nicely which is always a good thing. I agree on the flowering phase...fook me, it took an eternity on my first run. Now that things run perpetually it feels a little better lol. By the looks of things I expect good results bud. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  21. Wow that's a vrag vol weed Bru, looks like round number 2 has kicked off a little better than round one with a decent setup. Those buds looks awesome 2, remember it will be Kak harsh with only one day drying. Best to leave 5 days to dry and a week in cure at least, but knowing the first round and not having a back up that's not really gonna happen. Enjoy bud, nothing better than the fruits of one's labour Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  22. Shot brother, let's see in a few days time. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  23. Here's a pic of a cola from the VK I took last night. Super frosty I think. Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks Guys, can't wait to dig in. Luckily enough I have a jar full of GG still so I'm not dying ATM lol, but I really can't wait for the VK, damn she is frosty !!! Sent from my ALE-L02 using Tapatalk
  25. Sup Gang, hope you all enjoyed your freedom day and choice a good way to express it hehehe. I'm a few days off the start of harvest as the Vanilla, DC and GG look pretty close under the microscope. I'll probably take half down on Monday night and the rest of those specific plants over the weekend. SA will be the weekend after I'm thinking as they are know to run in 70 days + on the flower side. I must say, the plants really flowered a lot quicker this time around. Probably because I vegged them longer and most of the plants were shooting pistols before I switched to 12/12. The Fruit Spirit for the next round is a real stretchy plant, she is the only one I have tied down ATM just to keep her level with the others. Other than that there is not much else to report. PS - we had some good rain in CT later so we holding thumbs that may continue. My Garage I grow in got flooded from the rain but luckily the boxes are raised off the ground...a little planning that paid off lol. Anyway keep it real y'all and have a great long weekend.
