Rad, belated welcome bro. Have been standing on a R200 hair straightener, with as much force as I can muster, myself. Prefer to sit and smoke a spliff rather than dab, but wow, well worth a DIY pleb press to sample the flavour profiles of the harvest, unadulterated. Keen to see your setup(s) when you do post.

Don't do so myself but sand is effective, ya. Need to be careful not to choke off air from the rootball so generally not a good idea with plastic pots, apparently ok with fabric pots. Also, the buggers will enter through the drainage holes too. Couldn't comment on shale, but I would assume it depends on how small the particulate is, same warning with starving oxygen from the rootzone.

Sorry for the continued necro.... That's pretty sweet! Thanks m8! How'd the sponges hold up? Any dodgy growth? I have one of the little hygrometers which are used in humidors. It is calibrated at 65% by moistening salt in a soda cap and shoving in a ziplock bag. Seems to lineup with your 66% sponge readings. I wonder what would be the best bet at not absorbing scent and flavour, as some peeps say the humidipaks do... perhaps need to scour some cigar forums

Rather just order through a reputable seed bank website. No need to order through an app Link. Spam. Pretty sure I've seen another user post a link to the same site... Perhaps shouldn't allow users to post links until they've reached an allotted post count?

(Poll) Trim - What do you do with your trim

Ah, thanks. Feel a bit better about my own oversight now Deleted cookies for only this site (dislike deleting all cookies) and works fine now. I'd imagine Tor doesn't store any cookies and the forum is trying to validate access to a restricted area, via a cookie - or something to this extent. Toby[/member] some good info in the SCROG post, thanks! Sticky?

Ok this is my bad, sorry all. Checked with Firefox and it loads fine. Chrome spits me to a login page. Private browsing window in Chrome works fine, so must be an arbitrary cookie issue my side. Apologies!

Looking great bro. May SCROG next run, hopefully can full it out as nicely as that. Busted link, or rather post doesn't exist anymore / no access, etc. In fact, seeing that's linked in your sig. none of your sig. links work for me either... JustinHemp420[/member] a sprayer with wand does the trick. A little slow unless you get a good one, but that's better for the girls anyway.

Compressed kief Wrapped in small square of coffee filter Placed in parchment paper Pressed in hair iron Notes: Coffee filter works, but seems to be a tad too absorbent, wasting precious yield. May also let through some other gunk dirtying final product, not too bad though. Use as little as can, but I was trying to make sure it didn't split/unfold. Get pressing screen. Hair iron at 140 C is too hot. It's not flat making it a nightmare to keep in place. Pay more, get a better hair iron. Kief yielded easy peasy. Tried some partially dried bud, not as much joy, piss poor yield. Need more pressure I'd guess. Possibly will try a clamp with some better material when available and see how that goes. Bubble will give a go too. EDIT: for collection, I found the 'wrap a piece of parchment around your finger method' the easiest by far.

First attempt at some rosin. Merely used kief/pollen collected from grinder. Worked pretty well though need to muck about a bit to improve yield. The hair iron is a POS

Shiiit son, that's impressive. Probs a more supplemental spectrum, but wow. Still 2.9 on the little more full spectrum. Not sure what diodes they're using, or whether there's any proprietary tech. but clearly quality. QBs are well documented to be using the Samsung S6 (older spec use S5) diodes. Watt for watt it's still going to pump out heat, but you should see a wattage reduction for comparable light levels and therefore reduction in btu. Bigger difference is the lack of radiant heat, particularly IR, allowing for a couple degrees higher temps. as optimal, further reducing cooling requirement as your target temp. is higher.

Awesome, happy building If you have the space available, having two separate cabs is pretty useful and easier to manage IMO.

Nothing too definitive to be fair, jury is still out. Frost for days; if growing for extracts/concentrates, looks like it'd be a no brainer. For a deep and dense canopy: a must for light penetration. Anything else would be extrapolating too far. The best I can say conclusively, other than the above, is I will definitely do it again (preferably with at least a control plant), provided I am filling the space sufficiently.

Thanks m8

Yep, likely just transpiration, agree with CerealKilla. Gets trapped between the leaves and accumulates. Plant sweat is pretty much what it is. If they cannot be nudged or gently bent out the way to avoid sitting right on top of each other, I cut one. Not an issue in itself, but the moisture can provide a nice environment for molds and such. Pretty normal in my opinion. If you start seeing guttation (beads of 'sweat' collecting on the tips of the serrated leaf edges) it's possible water levels are a bit high in res. or RH is too high, or some air movement is required.
