Green Leaf Organics
Hi guys I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a cmh 630w DE complete fixture . I have been researching these lights for a long time but could never bring myself to pay the huge import duties on these lights. Finally I have started on what I hope will be an amazing set of lights. It's a very simple light weight design and I was a bit nervous at the size of the reflector as I have always been a fan if oversized reflectors. Setup was quick and easy , it was just a matter of hanging it and plugging in . One thing I must say to anyone that may get one , make sure you clip your bulb in properly it takes a little force but as you will see in the pic below you need to pinch that cable properly with the clip . I have used a lot of different lighting , the only light I haven't really tested is LEP , I was blown away by this light . I was left speechless at how much light this little fixture was producing . This light was putting out almost double what my 600w MH was putting out and only 5% less than my 1000w hps ( see pics below ). Now i know plants use Par and not Lux but I put up the readings are a reference as cmh is known for putting out incredibly High Par readings . While there is slightly less Lux than On a 1000w hps I can't test Par and have no idea what the added spectrum will add yet. I have put one 630w cmh into My veg side so the plants can get use to the extra UV and the lights themselves as I like to minimize light shock when going from veg to flower . I will then run 2 x 630w in flower to test run. What I will do on this post is update once a week following one plant that will live under the cmh for 3 weeks in veg the the complete flower cycle .I am not going to be completely separating things so there will be other light mixing with the cmh but the main light o this plant will be cmh. I will be running a strain I have run for years and know inside out . I will know as soon or if there is any change to it at all. So far my first impressions of this lighting system is very good and from what I have read and researched this light should perform well. So far it's lived up to everything I had hoped . If anyone is in the market for a new light I would suggest you give cmh serious consideration Cheers

Thatoneguy
Awesome GLO, Ill be purchasing the 315 next cpl of weeks and using it for my vegging room, ill have to build up to get the 630 but i also have my eyes on the Gavita 1000 DE. I am pulled between the 2 tbo. Whats your views on the Gavita and do you think the 630 could outperform or be on par with the 1000w DE
Green Leaf Organics
@alemo I don't expect anyone to give me anything , I paid for my light like everyone else lol and I think it was worth every cent . You also know as well as I do that 10k for proper lighting is not a lot @Thatoneguy no idea yet to early to tell , you have probably read the same stuff I have about cmh now it's the practical test. So far I am well impressed with this light but it's still early days , the ladies are loving life u see it.

Im very keen to see how they perform
Green Leaf Organics
Been about a week now so update time... Took about 4 days for the plant to adjust to the new light , think I had it to low to start so have her a bit of a shock. She is drinking and eating roughly 22% more than her siblings , she lost a little colour dew to the fact I didn't realize at the start she would want more food . The leave are slightly more leathery than her siblings as well , this can be expected with the added uv. Not much to see at the moment , she will start flowering in 2 weeks . Cheers
Green Leaf Organics
Hi guys Sorry for not keeping this updated every week . I have been so busy that I had to delay flower by a week . The plants went into flower last Friday so I will do a proper update on Friday after it's been in there for a week. First thoughts.... Cmh is awesome for veg but I feel the 630w de is just to intense for veg and I feel 2 x 315w would give you a much more even veg grow . I found the 630w can veg a 2m x 2m area but the plant directly under the light does suffer a bit with light intensity while the ones on the edge could use a little more light . Now the fun really starts.... go go flower Cheers Reaf

How's the heat on the 630w? Also, at what size did you move them under the CMH light? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
