Shane247
What does it mean if the stems turn red?? Is it stress?
narnia
Nice one The more photons, the merrier, so as many CFLs as you can fit (within reason). Key with CFL, as with all lighting but especially with fluoros, is getting the light as close to the canopy as possible. Given you're in week 7 you probs wouldn't want to be playing around too much and risk heat burn. If you have the space available you could add a couple bulbs for side lighting. SOG or SCROG setups will be the best options which you could try on your next run.
Justin Hemp
A guideline on light versus yeild is around 1g per watt, but this has a few dependencies. Floros may yeild slightly less but that would have to be confirmed with those that use it. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
alemo
^^ Not even close. Try 1/3 to half of your flowering light
Justin Hemp
Had a friend build this last week I would imagine it would be far more effective. Just my thoughts Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Just my thoughts Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk are those lights any good?? we sell those, didn't think it would be viable to use in my grow space They work better than the CFL bulbs I hear. Light is light and I would think as long as you have the correct Kelvin covered and a good amount of wattage you good to go. Have another member on another 420 site that built something similar. Will see if I can find it. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Justin Hemp
There we go, sorry for the crappy pics as I had to use my phone to take pics off my laptop. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Jland
I would watch the quality of the Flash brand there. Have attempted using there CFLs (dirt cheap!) 2 fitting fell apart because of heat and found them lying between my plants. I have two of the LEDs as well that I have just been to scared to screw in. Nice set up tho ✌

Nice set up tho well having spoken to their sales rep in our area, they have done a total rework of their products, hence they now offer a 3yr guarantee on their led products if that's anything to go with

Justin Hemp
Not my light, but I would imagine he went for the 3k for both veg and flower. 6k is more for the veg part Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Justin Hemp
Go have a look at what Kelvin is best for veg and for flower and put in a mix of both to cover both aspects. I would if it were mine my light would be 2/3 filled with flower lighting and 1/3 for veg bulbs Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

Justin Hemp
Hahaha, didn't think of that one. Freekin trying to imagine showing the rep and just excusing the fact the top is ripped off. I get what your saying in that the quality must have improved for them to offer a 3 year guarantee now. Double R
@JH420.. Those phillips 8w are they only available for 6000k..or can we get it at 3000k Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
Justin Hemp
6000k for veg and 3000k for flower. His is all 3000k but I'm sure you could mix it up and maybe throw a few 6000k for a better veg although he doesn't seem to be doing to badly atm Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
