Jland
Okay I truly suck at maintaining a diary.. So going to start this thread covering my veg box and a recent add on to grow gear that has some what thrown me into orbit With the expectation of some amazing lights on the way, I got popping. GHS Cheese 37 days ( I rate one of the best strains around, long time going), makes me happy! Chocolope x NL 3days ( local breeder, excited) Kandy Kush 19 days (first time) OG Kush 19 days (excited first time) Budahs Sister 19 days(first time) HSO Blue Dream/Durban Poison x Ak48 (my first cross, excited). Got two of each popped, cheese was three but two have moved onto flower already and the other lady will become a mother. Germ straight into medium (coco/perlite & peat mix) not deeper than 1cm. Pre wet medium, a good spray with the spray bottle but not saturated. Under one 45W Daylight CFL. Okay then beans popped.....bla...bla..bla.. I have had all under 2 x SANlight S2W since last week Wednesday 19/10/17. I'm blown away by what these two units are doing to my veg!!! I can't wait to flower under them. I've posted a pick of everyday since they have been under the S2W. Some cutting came and went and some of the late comers eventually joined. Everyone is doing well with very little issues. Budah's Sister is keeping me on my toes tho, finding her a bit tricky with drinking but will get there. Plan on vegging another two weeks or so, hope to see sex first but not serious will flip when the time comes..

Jland
Chocolole x NL is just a few days old, gave her one day under the cfl after she popped ( hope its a she ), then moved here in with the big girls. She's been in for two days now. Looking beautiful!
Jland
The BD/DP x AK48 is all experimental and I'm sure a learning curve. Made it past the first hurdle without pollinating my entire grow. Got a bunch of beans, now just hope they all healthy and strong:poke They are coming on nicely and showing strong indica traits so far. Super fat leaves and a solid stem! Jland
I am soooo IMPRESSED with SANLight. I haven't grown any of the other strains besides the Cheese, I know her well! I have never seen them looking this lush. Excited to see what the days and weeks ahead hold. Going to fill the tent up then do a flower run in the box under the S2W, was thinking of dong a SOG of cheese so I will be able to compare knowing the strain. Jland
I'll keep the thread updated every week and have a bit more of a look at each strain as we go along. Got a few cuttings and new beans started today but they'll only join us later.

Jland
Thanks folks ✌ @Budwizee there are some exciting strains bro, nice to pop something I haven't grown yet too! Totemic[/member], thanks bro. Cheese, Kandy Kush, OG Kush, Budah Sister, Chocolope X NL and the AK48 X BD/DP. Your Chocolope X NL will be the first bean that sees an entire SANlight veg, the rest all had nearly two weeks under cfl. I have a feeling she (I hope its a she) will catch up very quickly! Toby[/member], they from out of this world bro!! I'll never buy another light, even if it means saving and waiting longer! The veg side of the box is 1100mm wide x 650mm deep and a height of 1400mm. Got them hanging lengthwise at a height of 500mm with a +- 150mm gap between sides and lights. Light is crossing and overlapping everywhere, its hard to find a shadow. Even if I stick my hand in there there there next to no shadow over the plants! I started them at 400mm and was advised by SANlght to raise them to at least 500mm to avoid any shock from cfl to S2W. Growth did not stop or even stunt for a day! So so so impressed
Toby
Thanks for the reply bud. Im also impressed with them, I have the P4 (125w) . Vegging so far excellent, the true test will be flower. Hoping to flip soon. Keep us updated. Keen to check out how it progresses...
Jland
The SANlight family is growing you must be loving it bud!! There units are really something! Have you noticed how strong and lush the leaves become? I took a leaf after taking some cheese cuttings, held it at the split of the fingers and the leaf tip and pulled gently. The amount of stretch (if I can put it that way) is insane before leaf blade actually tears! Flower will be the test indeed but pretty sure its going to be as impressive as what the units are doing to veg.

Justin Hemp
Very nice to see the Pro in action hehehe, add to that I'm keen to see the Sanlights in action. The plants certainly seem to be loving it and your X looks awesome Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
Durbanblue
Nice set up. What was the price of the S2W please and can you only order them from overseas or is there a local dealer? Thanks
Jland
Durbanblue[/member], thanks bro ✌ the lights are available local the website is sanlight.info and fb page is LED grow lights SA. You can also contact Craig Waterman 082 9012047, he is the sole agent locally. The price tag locally from my knowledge is R3312.00 which is not bad and a lot cheaper than importing! JustinHemp420[/member] I think the only pro on this grow are the lights. They are loving it brother!!! I have not seen plants thrive this much, they are loving it!! The two X's are looking sexy, can't wait to see what the bud out into (if they girls). @DoubleR, Ahoys bruv how you doing? The lights are full spectrum (they mentioned. It as continuous spectrum) 400-760. The light is very natural, it beautiful The foot print I think is 600mmx400mm but that is very dependant on height and the lights are most effective when using a few side by side creating a lot of overlapping and then you get to exploit the units "NO SHADOW" affect. I attached the spec sheet ✌
Jland
Well a lot of the babies became teenagers yesterday " Happy 3week birthday" Gave them all there first feed 230ppm and 3ml amino mix ph'd6.2 of the 3 part EHG. Up until now they having only been receiving ph'd tap water, 2 light nitrosil of feeds 190-210ppm and 2 light calmag feeds 200+- ppm (my tap water comes in at +-140ppm) All looking good and still vigorous growth! The cheese's mothering has began, took a top cutting and will give here a week or two before we chop her almost right down. She is receiving a full EHG veg feed 490ppm ph'd 6.0. The Chocolope x NL is coming on nicely!! Must say is the seedling is loving it he SANlight too. Did a back fill in the cup today. I normally transplant by the end of the first week but its a bit tight in there so cupbwill be home for a little longer. Still only receiving bottled water, light waters. My two experimentals are coming on beautifully. A little slower in growth but they only hitting 3rd node now, so expecting growth to explode soon! They are receiving same feed as the teenagers just diluted down to 200ppm ph'd 6.2 Gave them a close looking over and the two BS I'm 90% sure is one male one female. Will know for sure in a day or two. That's all for now folks, happy growing
Jland
Probably a good thing to mention.. I water every day to second day, depending on size of the plant. Anywhere from 150ml to 300ml a feed. Larger plants up to 400ml-500ml, with a lot of the time its daily, everyday same time 1hoir after wake up religiously. Its very time consuming but rewarding. Justin Hemp
Lol, what's up with a peg on the pots here and there? Also I see you make use of some of the geotextile pots, is there a noticeable difference in using those compared to normal plastic pots? Jland
Hahaha yeah the pegs got my babies names on. You must see the washing line, its like reading through a strain guide lol!!! First time I'm trying the geotextile pots. Got the two X's in there. I'm interested to see how big a plant can get in there and still remain healthy. Still getting a feel for them, they do dry out quicker but not alarmingly. Willbse how it goes.

Jland
Exactly a week since diary started and a lots going on. Box got a bit cramped and humidity started getting a bit excited touching 90% Moved the two BS into the tent, one is definitely a female and the other not 100% yet but its stretching so I'm still leaning towards male.. Veg box has a bit more space now and humidity is under control again 'YAY'!! I'm having second name thoughts on continuing the cheese as a mother, she has branched out beautifully. Applied some LST to open her up a bit more. She is 44 days. The KK and OG at day 27 now. All topped 30/10/17. KK is two females one of which is very sativa, she is super sensitive, a bit scary so! Her sister no complaints and taking everything in her stride, very OG looking pheno. OG is one female definite, the other should be clear in a day or 3. No complaints here either. They are beautiful, been wanting to grow OG for a long time now. The two AK48 X BD/DP stems thicker than any of the other vegging babies, impressively so! Still can't see sex here but that should be coming soon. They feeding well but looking for space. Might flip the cheese in a few days to make space and get working on some OG branching! Chocolope X NL is coming on quickly, very happy. Transplanted into a 2 litre pot for now. Grow is bursting with this one! 10 days old still just receiving H2O. Got a young cheese that's joined the vegging babies, she is 4 days and then a Kalashnikova at 2days. I got about 2-3 weeks that I can still work on the KK and OG. Want to just get as much of the branching level wit a few extra tops before the flip. All in all everything is well, should have started nutes a couple days earlier on the OG and BS. Noticed a little deficiency on one or two of the lower hand leaves. The sativa dominant KK looks to want less feed, she's doing a little Freddy Kruger impersonation! Will have to keep an eye on here. Might be in for a 100% fem germ on the KK, BS and OG 'AWESOME'!
