Totemic
We have sand sand and more sand here. I have to heavily fertilize the rest of my veg in the garden. But as for my cannabis, I do dig out a deep hole about 40cm. Lace the bottom with a handful of bonemeal, then fill up the hole with my own soil mix. Its about 50l of soil in there. This way I will be making this piece of backyard super fertile over the next few years. I havent moved....my whole backyard did though.

Yeah i would suggest a top or fim of the girl, but then you may need to put a support stick next to her when she starts budding. Outdoors I also find that staking a plant is less beneficial. You effectively give the plant a crutch. From daily bending in our SE winds the trunk and branches grow much stronger and thicker than indoor plants. This genetic line has been built to carry her weight. Just wait and see. Edited November 15, 2018 by Totemic 3
Totemic
As another week passes I have decided to leave this female as is. I have always wanted to see this strain in open ground untouched and shes putting on a show for me. 8 weeks and 90cm and only alternating nodes now Also did a little LST on one of the other chocos this morning. Id put my money on a 2.5-3.5m conifer. If she slows to 10cm a week she should be about 1.8m by the end of Jan.

Totemic
Sup everybody. Weekly update. I am still in 2 minds whether I should top this one or not.... The LSTs are doing well... One of the LSTs are showing a bud on leaf mutation, so it will be an interesting one to watch. Edited December 12, 2018 by Totemic
Totemic
So 3 months after soaking seed the girls look great. The first chocolope also had her top pulled down. She hit 1.8m and veg is just too long still for me to ignore. So instead of topping I decided on LST to keep the height in check although she still stands at 1.4m now. The other LSTs are going on just as well and are just shy of 1m tall. Catch you next week. Edited December 19, 2018 by Totemic 4
Totemic
Hey everyone. Just a little update. She has become a block. Started cleaning up the bottom and will continue as we get closer to flower. Pulled this girl down with another LST. She will develop this already 2m canopy and hopefully really fill up and gain a ruler or more before flower. Before: After: Catch you all in the New Year.

Totemic
Update time. Been suffering a little wind damage, but otherwise ready for flowering. Pulled down the LST yet again today, with a little supercropping here and there to even the canopy out.

Totemic
The trick with outdoors is to have a huge variety of different plants. Then dont use any poison anywhere. As all the bugs move in the ecosystem reaches an equilibrium. And bugs are a lot less fond of Cannabis than you think but obviously they wont hesitate to go bos on your canna plants if they have nothing else to eat. I probably have a billion spider mites in the garden, but they are on everything except my cannabis. Outdoors, planting any pumpkin or melon just for the sake of having the plant and not necessarily for its fruit is far preferred by spider mites. Check out the pics below. My one plant is a meter away from the jelly melon. On the melon leaves are thousands of mites and mite carcasses. The carcasses tell me the predatory bugs are at work. If I now spray the melon and kill all the mites, then the predators will leave and search for food elsewhere. Once the balance is messed with pest epidemics usually follow. On the weed leaf. Negligable for a plant that has been outdoors since September. Edited January 21, 2019 by Totemic 4 2

Pvt_sToNeR
That is brilliant, i've done research on plants that effect the soil around your cannabis but never dug deep to find out what other plants can do for cannabis above ground Subbed
