Greetings 420sa
Long time lurker , thought i would post my latest grow.

4 plant perpetual

Environment:

  • 80x60cm micro cabs x 2 - Early veg\Clone
  • 1x1m Tent - Veg
  • 2x1m Cab -  Flower

Genetics:

  • 3x Dutchpassion Jorges Diamonds no1
  • 1X Dinafem Remo Chemo

Medium

Organic soil, own mix based on rev 2.0 base mix

  • Coco coir
  • Perlite
  • Worm castings
  • Compost
  • Potting soil
  • dolomite lime
  • Bone Meal
  • mycoroot

This was mixed let sit, then watered with a compost tea and let sit for another month or so, not pushing for full nute free grow, rather a slightly fortified light soil.

Nutes:

  • Biobizz fishmix in veg, grow bloom for flower
  • Kelpak foliar
  • Epsom foliar
  • Compost teas, humic fulvic amino etc

Lighting:

  • 5x20w cool white cfl - seedling\early veg Micro
  • 3x20w mixed - Clone Micro
  • '360w' apollo 8 spot led - veg(currently in for repairs on my desk hence hps)
  • 2x 400w HPS - flower

Ventilation:

  • Micros, 12v pc fans various
  • Veg ,6" extractor, no filter -  to move to flower once flower cab is completed
  • flower, 6" extractor with 150mm-500mm carbon filter

The Jorges came to me from another grower in rockwool prisons, i nervously hacked them free and transplanted to soil at i would guess 3 weeks from seed judging by nodes and development.

jds rockwool.JPG

they battled initially with transplant shock and root damage causing some cal/mag issues early on, once transplanted to 10l bags the offset of soil to rockwool seems to have balanced ph better and are now starting to take off nicely.

Transplanted to 10l

Remo was a clone gifted to me, sadly came with signs of mites so she went into quarantine and pyrol torture for a week or two. she has recovered nicely and is starting to show some good growth.

Below pic on arrival after first pyrol treatment

Wish I could have such a low temp in my tent, lol constant 28.They are looking fantastic, bounce back nicely.

has been fluctuating to be fair, average is about 25. bare in mind lights are off between 11am - 5pm
tried a smaller extractor with led panel and that pushed it up to 29/30 but with the hps and 6" i dont worry too mch about temps

quick update, seedlings are a no show, that makes it a full failure on all old beans tried.

out they go, no use hoarding dead seeds. kills me as its lost breeding projects that are dead in the water now.

Oh no, that sucks, but atleast the rest of your plants are looking great!

Isn't that solution a bit on the strong side @McB?

shit, i just reread the amounts and it was grams not tsp, feck, i normally to a tablespoon per 5l and feed but needed a solution now , not with next watering.

quickly scanned foliar advice and gooi'd.

ah well they looked fine this morning, will take it as it comes, worst case i can spray with clean water and get rid of anything left over

Is this a cross from Charlotte's web?

Just asking as i know thats the OG CBD strain.

This is as much as i know. have had extract from this strain(same cut) and was blown away, apparently not the greatest flower to smoke though. effect was life altering, so she will be in my extract rotation for the forseaable future

https://www.dutch-passion.com/en/cannabis-seeds/product/cbd-charlottes-angel-seeds/

1st prize "Medical", Highlife Cup, Netherlands 2018

Charlotte’s Angel is a sativa dominant variety with high CBD levels, 10 to 16% and low THC levels, always below 1%. It’s a non-psychoactive variety offering medical benefits without the high, delivering a strong body effect and a calming, anti-anxiety experience. She takes 9-12 weeks to flower and comes with a herbal aroma with piney diesel undertones. Genetics come from Dutch Charlotte (CBD rich clone) crossed with Red Angel (clone-only Amsterdam CBD variety).

Charlotte’s Angel is popular with cannabis lovers that want to enjoy a joint without getting stoned and is suitable for making concentrates. You get a satisfying experience with the same taste and aroma as a high-THC variety. You feel medicated, yet you are not high, it gives the user a positive feeling of well-being, it is almost impossible to explain unless you’ve tried it! Dutch Passion’s first low THC variety, CBD Charlotte’s Angel®!

Can you explain your "Life Altering" experience @McB? Sure i'm not the only one that would like to know your journey with such a high cbd to thc ratio.

Only have had store bought CBD and i feel i need to grow my own to understand its full capabilities.

well, as with many my focus has been high thc, that being the milestone embedded since pre canna enlightenment days of seeded swaz and bush missions instead of school.

the "strongest" buds topped out as the best and we hailed even elevated to legendary status the malawi golds and the durban poisions of old(wow, dp still makes me smile, what a story).

now in my mind this translated into thc content and for many years that was the milestone of good smoke for me, getting as baked as possible for as long as possible and still walk, talk and function enough to get passed parents.

passing the teenage "smoke it if you got it" years nearing adulthood i started replacing big pharma anti depressants and mood stabilisers with bud and my understanding of my needs started to change, im hyper af, restless leg syndrome to the point i could be a thrash metal drummer and sleep less than most people i know.

Bud helped with this a lot and knowing the above i stayed away from sativa strains and set indica as the new gold standard for my needs.

the couchlock coupled with brain melting thc worked for many years, but also strips a lot of primary response speed in muting the multitude of random background threads and sub threads that are my average thought process.(fine for 10pm, not so great for a lunchtime toke)

add this to a little bit of age and shit starts getting ludicrous, forget conversations mid sentence, miss nuances and ultimately become what appears to all and sundry as a "forgetful stoner". this overall leads to one sad mofo facing the reality that his intake is finally affecting his productivity and hence potential income.

Enter Charlottes, i got 0.5g, never had so little last me as long.
flavour wise i get an interesting pine\junipery flavour off a lower temp dab, almost sweet in a sense, i frikken loved it.

brain is fully functional, yet calm, no dumbing down of response time, no rambling of a million ideas at once,no drifting off  on a tangent mid meeting, or god forbid presentation, complete body stone, calm, no fidgeting, anxiety managed, shit it even helped with my fibromyalgia...just fucking sorted is what it does 🙂

my only sadness is that i dont have more yet...YET

Wooh @McB, I truly appreciate the proper walk through from the typical recreational user to the medical side of things. (don't get honesty like that easy now a days)

I feel that many recreational users would agree with you and its sad we don't have doctors to help us find what works for us and what does not, But by the journey you have explained it sounds much more fun that way :classic_cool:

When the time comes when you have an abundance of this strain...... i shall be waiting in the clone groups shadows :classic_rolleyes:

12 x 240W LED Grow lights, as new, for sale.
6 are with wooden frame and 6 are with aluminum frame.
Wooden frame is more expensive but if you buy the lot then price will be the same for all.

      Hello growers
I would love to have an opinion on this topic. Let me update you on what I have been working with. I have a one plant indoor grow inside a 80cm x 80cm grow tent. I use a 40l fabric pot with both Orgasoilux and Freedom farms soil (green bag). The bottom half I use Orgasoilux(20l) and the top half I use Freedom farms soil(20l). Throughout veg all I give the plant is Biodyne Environoc 401 (microbes), Molasses and water. This results in an extremely healthy plant.
Once I flip to flower I start using organic bottled nutrients. In the past I have used Biobizz Bio-bloom, and more recently I have used Dirty hands inc - Bio-Phos (Jamie's brand). I give 3ml Bio-Phos once a week early flower and up it to 5ml every week mid to late flower. Plus a molasses feeding every 2 weeks and stopped using Biodyne microbes 1 week into flower.
I was thinking about completely ditching bottled nutrients and going the topdressing route for flower. I was thinking of maybe topdressing a week before the flip with Jamie's elemental blend. I am just worried if it will provide enough for the plants through to harvest. I was also thinking of maybe using my own topdressing blend of Dry kelp, Gypsum, Malted Barley and Worm Castings. Would love an opinion on switching to topdressing for flower and if the elemental blend should be more than enough to take me to harvest. If you think I should just stick to bottled nutrients for flower let me know. I am going to include photo's of my 2 previous grows using the method I have stated above. Just trying to get the best quality flower possible :)
      Some thoughts of mine...…
      Topdressing vs Liquid Nutrients?
Biobizz Bio-Bloom vs Dirty Hands Inc Bio-Phos?
One topdressing enough 1 week before flip?
Elemental Blend or my own flowering mix?

First time growing photoperiods, quite excited.

      Genetics
Hiroshima by Renegade Seed Co.  6 Pack

High THC, and according to the product description should deliver "high yields of dense, rock-solid buds."  Hoping to achieve that.
Want to make one a mother and start learning to clone. The description says "These highly stable genetics produce two phenotypes at most." Should be easy to choose a winner to reveg.
They advise topping, which I am also looking forward to learning. Want to also try "FIM" a plant or two to experiment.
      Grow Setup
      Same as before. Here
      ~
      Lets go
      9 November
Seeds arrived. Also received a Promotional 2 Pack of G-Fawke.

      10 November
Seeds into a glass of spring water. Onto a heating mat and into a dark cupboard to soak for 18 hours.

      11 November
Seeds started showing roots. All 6 seeds popped, gently took them and placed them root facing down in Jiffy Preforma Plugs.
Covered the holes slightly and into the ROOTiT Small Propagator they go. Heating mat underneath, and gently misted with spring water. Also threaded the hygrometer reader through a ventilation hole, to see the environment reading.
I think this reading is fine for germination. Any and all feedback welcome.

Hoping for them all to push out effectively over the coming days. In hindsight I should have maybe done the paper towel method to get the roots longer, before putting them into the plugs. I've also previously had a failed germination where I watered a bit much, so just gently misting this time as to not drown/stunt the seeds.
