Guest Garethleauk
Hi Everyone, this is what im working on now, I have 4 DWC Pots and 5 Coco / Perlite mixed pots, All are kaas. I have an 8" Extractor Fan, no need for an intake fan as the fan is big enough to pull air through the hole I have cut in the door and covered using a 8" round stove hood carbon filter ( the ones you use for the hood extractor above your stove ) I use a 400 watt MH for Vegging and when I switch to flower I will swap my 400 watt MH with my 400 HPS and also connect my other 600 Watt HPS system I have ( 1000 watts in total ) I am using Greenhouse Seeds Nutrient Mix for the Coco pots and for the DWC im using EHG nutrients. Will keep everyone posted on the grow from start to finish :rastabanana

Guest Maxwell
Looking good! You might struggle to maintain you pH in small buckets unless it is recirculating?
Guest Garethleauk
I use reverse osmosis water and don't have a problem with ph, if the water level drops I just top up with water again I have tested the water using my pen and ph fluctuates between 5.5 and 6.2 so im safe also the nutrient mix is very light, I never add the full strength because in dwc system the nutrients never evaporate only water making the mix stronger if you lose water. the plant will take what it needs when it needs it. Guest Maxwell
That's interesting. I have read that R/O water will fluctuate due to the lack of mineral content, I see many growers abroad use small amounts of tap-water to help buffer the acid. BUT considering you actually use it, you would know better. Personally I can't afford R/O water...
Guest Garethleauk
they use Tap water to add Calcium as far as I know because RO treated water removes Calcium, not sure if it buffers the ph

Guest Garethleauk
I believe hydro herb sells GHE but the EHG is working fine for now
