Aweh fellow horticulturists.

Been a bit busy cause spring is around the corner.

1-2. Chocolate Gorilla

This lady is getting the chop today. Pushed her an extra week to ripen up some more, now we paying some tax with a dash of rot. But her buds are rock solid.

3-4. Seedsman Lemoncello haze

She built a good strong structure to carry her treasures, now she just has to put on some weight in all the right places.

5-6. Purple Stilton

Went the same route with her as the Lemoncello. Only topped once and upsized the pots. Starting to get a bit of frost.

7. Purple Pineapple

She is doing well, stem terps are strong and funky, but it's still early days.

8-9. Swazi Gold

Bagseed from a previous grow, she might not be 100% pure, but she grew well and hasn't skipped a beat at all. Putting on some good weight now, but she has a few seeds.

10. Purple Pineapple

Trying to reveg this lady, need a few clones as her buds were sweet, funky and smooth. And the jar is almost empty.

Trying out Biobizz Grow, Bloom and Fishmix this season as well as SST's. The mung bean and mielie tea's have gone down well so far and fit in well with the smoothie feeds.

Aweh fellow greenies.

Life is doing that curveball thing...as if covid wasn't enough. Ladies haven't been getting all the attention they deserve but they still looking good. Had almost a week of cold and rainy days, wpm and budrot here they come.....

1-2. This Purple Pineapple lady just exploded as can be seen from the internodal spacing. Maybe the Bio Ocean pellet topdress and mung beans had something to do with it or could be a combo of f1 vigour which is positive, but she can't hide her sativa genes. Only topped her once, wanted her to express as naturally as possible. Not a drop of wpm on her so far, which is a good sign as she is in pre flower.

3-4. Seedsman Lemoncello is filling out nicely. The mielie SST and molasses in between normal feeding is doing the thing for the flowering girls. She is smelling awesome and her nugs are dense and frosty.

5-6. The Purple Stilton lady is also doing well, she's putting on decent weight despite the crap weather. Defoliated all the leaves with signs of wpm, trichomes are mostly milky, just want a few ambers. Hoping I can get her to the harvest line because she is frosty as a snowcone and smells bloody awesome.

Eishhh...with the weeklong rainy weather and continous humid conditions, Decided to harvest the Lemoncello haze and the Purple Stilton. Thichs were solid milky with a couple of ambers, would have preferred to push for a week or two more but the starting signs of wpm and budrot were ominous.

Wet yields were ok, Lemoncello 274gr and Stilton 246gr. The Stilton was showing early signs of revegging, funnily only the bottom 2 branches, so chopped just above them to let mother nature do her thing. Buds have a real funky stank to them, might cut some clones for summer if taste tests are positive.

The previous Lemoncello was quite tasty hence this lady being upgraded to the 75lt tub and she didn't disappoint.

Aweh good people.

Grow we will....

1-2. Swazi...ishhhh lady. She is a bagseed from last years grow, came up in my tunnel's walkway- showed some vigour, so gave her a chance. Swazi...ishhh, judging by the growth and structure, but she got some haze in her it seems.

3. A Purple Pineapple f1 girl, she's slightly sensitive, if you look at the primary leaf mottling. Did transplant her to a slightly hot mix, but she's pushing through and showing good growth after the topping.

4-5. Chocolate Gorilla getting good.  She's carrying a lot of bud for such a petite lady. Luckily they are stinky pungent.

6-8. Purple Pineapple, she's going to be the Control, she is big and airy, good sativa stuff. Pushing sizable pom poms and sugarleaves are getting frosty allready. She's handling it like a queen a with the weather being on its head, 3 weeks of drizzle and wind, RH 65-90% most of the time.

Got some rock dust, giving it a shot in a seperate batch of soil as the science looks good.

Feeding SST's and AACT's, keeping the girls happy and strong.

Got offered some semi decent indoor - Big Bhudda Cheese and a Blue Cheese, eishhh we were dissapointed.

Puffing on Mr @Dank's BC, it has cured well - smooth with hints of cinnamon and vanilla. The time was worth the time.

Aweh fellow greenfingers,

1-2. This F1 Purple pineapple stacking very well. Terps are a funky and fruity, she is stacking well and hopefully she puts on weight in the right places.

3. Chocolope bagseed ''opslag'' girl decided to reveg out of the blue. Her colours are just on milky, think I'll harvest all but 2 reveg colas and then cut some clones. Like her spicy terps profile.

4. 2 more Purple pineapple girls that are going to donate some clones in the name of science....

5-6. Next gen babies.... Bubblegum, White widow and Fruitpunch f4's.

They are looking a bit worse for wear due to a spidermite problem, had to dose them hard with a soap/canola mix. But they are pulling through.

7-8. Swazi gold...ishhh bagseed girl doing well despite the mites.

Mother nature hasn't been playing fair the last 2 months. Week long rainy spells, sky high RH mixed with 36 to 39deg days in between. Talk about hell and high water, got a oscillating fan for the greenhouse to help with ventilation etc.

9. At least the tomatoes are bearing fruit.....

Aweh greenfingers,

1-2. The Purple Pineapple F1 is doing well, she is putting on good weight in the right places. Had a bit of an issue with whitefly and spidermite, but thats sorted for now. Been feeding her alernatingly with Biobiz bloom, Fishmix and Ecobuz, keeping it light at 2-3ml/ ltr. Plants get a feed, then plain rain water and then a AACT 'feed'.

3. This little swazi lady is pushing to the amber side of things. She's showing some spidermite damage,  but pulled through and will be harvested soon.

4. Still revegging this Chocolate Gorilla, hoping to cut some clones in the next few weeks. Her spicy profile was quite unique.

5. A duo of Bubblegum girls, they are vegging and toughening up outside and will go back into the greenhouse later in flower.

6. Another Purple Pineapple lady growing outdoors in a 30lt material bag,  she was abit shy,  making me wait for some pistil action. Cleaned her up a bit and came away with 1w clones which all rooted 100%.

7. A friend sponsered some Habanero seedlings,  ran these 2 in my cannabis soil just to see, now got about 10 more going. Chillis and tomatoes like the amended cannabis soil.

Cheers and enjoy.

The baby Swazi and Purple Pineapple f1 lady got the chop. Spaced over 2 days as she was a big girl. Her sativa genes showing in the cola structure. Sweet fruity scents and very sticky, probably got more than a gram of scissor hash haha.... hoping to get close to 200gr dry.

Lost 2 lower popcorn buds to rot, but we can live with that. The oscillating fan is doing its job.

Shifting focus to the rest

Bubblegum and Fruitpunch f4's which are vegging nicely after transplant to 75lt tubs.

Germed WWxCheese, Pineapple Express and DBN Poison.

Finished the first 1m3 of my amended soil and the 2nd batch is cooking.

But we need a lot of it.

Its used for everything we plant in various strenghts. From the Spinach, Lettuce, Aloe Vera, Sweet Potatoes, Gooseberries, Habanero's, Passionfruit, Guavadilla, various herbs and 5 varieties of Tomatoes.

Busy times ahead.

Aweh gromies,

All told the Purple Pineapple lady racked up a decent 155gr dry before jarring. Lots of prominent dark pistils, reminds me of some Rooibaard from many moons ago.

Getting klapped by some heatwave weather,

35-39deg, 80% RH. Very glad I harvested when I did, about 20% amber had to move all the plants out to a shadier spot to avoid the worst. Most of the lawn is toast by comparison so the sweat paid off.

That Lady, Mother nature is a tough cookie

Aweh greenfingers,

1st things first- Purple pineapple smoke report is goooood. With such a short time in the jar the smoothness was unexpected....she plays nice and euphoric but as soon as you decide to chill/relax, she puts you to glorious sleep.

On to newer things....

Endevouring to adapt our grow technique to comply with the new (to be gazetted) laws.  Strain and pheno hunting aside herewith the ladies that made it to the big flower league.

Most are local crosses, the Fruitpunch f4 and Purple Pineapple being my own project lines.

The 'new' (ever evolving) amended soil is coming into its own, no deficiencies thus far. Had a dash of Ca and Mg problems last year, but no probs currently, leaving time to focus on organic IPM evolution, hence the tomato leaf and catnip extract spray applications. Had some good results so far with the spider mites/ aphids, with Margaret Roberts keeping the worms under control.

If you look at each plant's presentation you can see which are in preflower and which are preparing to go into preflower. Depending on their genetics they all react differently to light and the flowering window.

Go big or go home.

Cheers vir eers.

Aweh greenfingers

Ladies are doing well, Fruitpunch and Purple Stilton started preflower. Bubblegums getting ready and pushing spires.

Eloise moved in last night, spent most of yesterday securing our grow against the incoming weather, been raining solid but the wind has behaved mostly. Not keen on 100km/h gusts.

Water levels were getting low but in 12hrs we've maxed our rainwater capacity of 6500lts.

Thanks Mother nature

Cheers

Howzit bud.. Is your tunnel secured..? Maybe put some extra tent ropes or straps across.. Rather safe than sorry.. 👌👍

Thats exactly what was done, doubled up on the ropes securing the tunnel.

From the N and E were ok, but most exposure to the weather is from the S and W.

So far so good.

Evening fellow florists

Just a wee bit of an update. Some good some bad....

Most of the country had some bad weather and we were no exception, luckily our greenhouse remained grounded, but 2 of the girls sustained some damage. Luckily broken branches can be mended.

Very happy with the growth on the Purple Pineapple Express clone, she is a bit bushy and branchy but another defol will sort that.

The Purple Stiltons and Fruitpunches are doing great, the 2 in the greenhouse are putting on weight and getting nice and frosty. Their counterparts outside are a bit slower going into full flower, which suits us fine as we can stagger the trimming.

One of the Bubblegum girls got damaged in the hectic weather and split her stem quite badly. Looks as if she'll recover as both have gone into preflower.

The plants in material bags is our R&D dept. Have to do pheno hunting of course. Mixed batch of WWxCheese, Swazi, DBN, Pineapple Skunk and an overtly Peppery indica.

Sticking to the biobizz range nute wize, alternating with banana, apple and comfrey smoothies, AACT and SST.

Aweh @EvenSteven

No not as far as I've seen, must be a trick of the light as I took the pics early in the morning, colour seems a bit off.

3rd pic is a Purple Stilton, they do discolour but I doubt our Northcoast temps are low enough for that currently.

4th pic is one of my Fruitpunch f4 girls, this line hasnt shown any purpling yet. So its not expected.

5th pic is a (Purple) Pineapple Express (Pineapple Express x Purple Haze), last years girls did go very dark with the cold snaps. Hopefully they do the same this year as I'm phenohunting this cross. It would be the cherry on top so to speak.😁

Last years P.P.E.

Aweh

The time is upon us.

The flowers are doing lekker.

1-2.Purple Stilton fading nicely. Colours are good, 2 days to the chop.

3-4. Fruitpunch f4, she's bulked up well fade kicking in, looks like autum in the forest.

5. Another Fruitpunch, the more sativa'ish pheno, still has a ways to go.

6. One of the Bubblegum twins. Strain is slow to flower and develop, but they were worth the wait last round.

7. Purple Pineapple cut that is slowly getting good.

This is a Pineapple Express that was accidently pollinated by a Purple Haze male in an indoor setup. It was pure chance that she ended up with me. Planning to run the f1's this winter.

Aweh gromies,

The crux of the outdoor season is upon us.

Plenty of chopping and trimming allready going on.

1-3. Pineapple express lady getting nice and heavy.

4-6. WWxCheese also getting very lekker.

7-8. Sativa leaning pheno Fruitpunch lady bringing the goods, nice dense pungent nugs.

9-10. Verrryy Fruity bagseed clone cut from a revegged mother from last year. Strong haze genes.

11-12. One of the Bubblegum girls getting into the fade. Not a heavy yielder, but lots of flavour.

13. The Blue Cheese clones in our guerilla outdoor setup under the lights.

Good day fellow florists.

Time to dust this thread off.

Made some progress with summer prep.

Started a 6m x 2m growbed next to the tunnel for summer. As well as a seperate veggie patch with 6x 2x1m beds for the pretty redhead and her greenfingers.

Started layering browns and greens with compost (240lt for our jojo bin) in between. Amended with rock dust, dol lime and bone meal. AACT will be applied to assist with microbial breakdown.

All from renewable sources that would otherwise have gone into landfill.

My low tech soil mixer. Beats mixing by spade.
