New indoor setup for first time grower Advice needed

Hi there

I am a first time grower and I am looking at setting up an indoor grow box. I am looking at the QB-130 (https://growopz.com/products/3000k-qb-130-quantum-board-v2) grow light from growops. Is there any one that have experience with these? If you have any other suggestions on LED lights that is not too bank breaking I will appreciate it.

 

Also what area or box size am I looking at if I use this light?

Are they good for veg and flower?

 

I will be growing swazi gold if that helps with any advice

That light is perfect for a 50*50*120 type of tent. I have two 60w QBs for my veg tent and it's more than sufficient.

Could push to 80cm x 80cm too. That should give the best coverage

hey @cubebrix ! Welcome to the forums
 

I used to grow with that light from growopz, i managed to pull just under a gram per watt (0.98g/w) with two plants in a 1 x 0.5 x 1.6m cupboard using the scrog method.

Personally I would choose another strain. Sativa are not a plant new growers should attempt indoors , plus there 20 week flower cycles sucks.

I agree, the training you're going to need to do to keep the plant short may be a little tricky for new growers.

Thanks everyone for the tips and feedback. after my outside grow I started last year November I am looking forward to getting my indoor setup up and running. I might switch up the strain but I have so many swazi gold seeds I might as well bite the bullet and give it a shot. hopefully I get 4 females.
