The top is Freedom Farms soil. Freedom Farms works well, I'm trying the Organics Matter now to see how it is. Depending on the type of bark (Usually Pine) it tends to be acidic(tannins)and many times organically sterile- bad news for any plant's rootzone. (Culterra has been mentioned) That's why so many growers prefer to mix their own.I use ''commercial soils'' but it only makes up a percentage of my mix.
