Day 61 / Day 9 of Flower

So I reinforced my tent a bit, not fully done but its something for now.

It's helping with the negative pressure and the sides getting sucked into the plants.

I did another heavy lollipop / defoliation on the plants, will leave them for now to recover and continue their journey, I should have taken a pic before. I only have a pic I took on the 8th unfortunately.

I've done this to my previous tent and also used some PVC pipes. After a month the suction on the tent just bent the PVC in a bow and kept it therelooking to upgrade to some aluminium square tube for the current tent

I'm thinking of getting some cement to fill the tubes.
Hopefully that should prevent it from bending, I noticed its starting to bend already.

Ah yes, the negative pressure. I really want to lie to myself and say I could get another plant in my tent but half the space is taken away by the walls sucking in. The square aluminium sounds like a good idea there @Pat999

I also invested in a manual voltage controller for my HIT fan to lower the fan speed as much as I could without undermining ventilation performance in order to lower the negative pressure, but it didn't help a whole bunch.

I hope to get that poles soon, just hustling through a ruff patch gou gou so when I get the next round started I'd like the side of my tent to stay where they are. The funny thing is I tried crossing two pvc pipes over each other and using a cabletie to keep it there, lol.... Yeah I still lost a bunch of side room

My fan has 6 speed settings, although RH is becoming an issue so I have been pushing the speed up a bit to try combat that but the carbon filter seems to prevent a lot of the water from being removed easily.

I was thinking of getting some metal alu strips, although did not want to struggle cutting them with a hack saw so decided to try the PVC.

Already have it, so will purchase some cement to fill them and hope that will work. I'd like to find an easier way to remove the one pole in the front so I can easily remove my plants when need be, cable ties are a bit of a mission  not sure velcro will be strong enough either.

You can always get one of those flat brackets at builders then bend it with a moering tool into a U shape. Most of those brackets have 3 holes in it, if you bliksem it mooi the middle hole you can rivet, cabletie, pratley steel it vas and the side holes should line up, where you can just push a bolt through to keep it in place. Obviously would work better if you just bought poles you'd use for curtains, the metal ones? Just also now thinking of that.... Fok, ek's poes slim when I'm high

I used to have a humidifier in my tent and the moisture completely blocked my carbon filter. Had to remove all the charcoal and dry it in the sun for a day for airflow to work again. Haven't used a humidifier in my tent since.

Once there is good vegetation in the tent a humidifier is seldom needed IMO.

But I assume you are dealing with RH just solely on the moisture being generated by the foliage.

That is it, just the moisture from the plants and soil. Obviously goes up after feeding day.

Don't really want to remove the carbon filter due to the smell, so bit of a tricky situation. No space for a dehumidifier either.

Day 68 / Day 16 of flower

Did a watering and a shuffled (rotated in their spot) the plants to try optimize bud sites getting light.

I also increased power going to my LED's mostly to test the heatsinks and their cooling and so far all good. Will increase again sometime soon and monitor. I'll then bring it down again as I do not feel so much power is needed in such as mall space and the efficiency of the LED's end up diminishing fairly quickly.

Not even gonna date this, but two of the plants (bag seed & CBD Critical Mass) are starting to get a little frosty.

I have now set the LED's to 380W as the plants seem to be enjoying it. They bounce back soo quickly after moving them around and messing with them.

I feel 380W is excessive for the small area I have... But I am able to do so, so let's see.

Day 72 / Day 20 of flower

So I took some photos last night after doing a light defoliation to remove some leaves which were stopping light from reaching bud sites and after a nice watering.

Finally, some proper updates of each plant.

Bagseed:

Chocolope:

Then below are some pics of the plants in the tent, they're really crammed inside there. Having 6 in that small space is not ideal I feel it will affect my yields. Especially without a scrog net - next time I would like to use my scrog net, I have an idea now on how to water the ones in the back with the scrog net.

Also I took measurements of two of my tallest plants.

Day 79 / Day 27 of Flower

A quick update of some pics, will do a more detailed update in a few days.

These pics were taken last night.

Flowering is going well, buds are forming nicely and they're filling out.

I must admit, the bagseed is actually the best looking and smelling plant currently. I may need to give it a name and keep it.

I have pics of the three at the back and what they are and then all 6 together. 599b6e52ebcd0df09771c0f65de94b86.jpg6a0384fb20378242fd668a9f4e9a69ed.jpg7338e69937fd53a9627f4dacfd50a9d9.jpg

Day 83 / Day 31 of Flower

So a half-assed update, plants are all looking great. I snapped some pics of my Bag seed - so far I think I will be keeping her and am glad I took cuttings. Such a sweet and fruity smell too.

Although the proof will be in the pudding after harvesting and curing her, she is flowering really nicely and tons of trichomes! Best I start thinking of a name, although once again it may need to wait until I have harvested and can sample her.

I will make a plan to snaps some pics of the other plants too, but I gotta take them out to do so which is quite a mission.

Day 86 / Day 34 of Flower

An update on the remaining plants, pics were taken last night.

If you want updates on the Chocolope, head over to my Indoor Grow Off thread.

Girl Scout Cookies (Thin Mint) x Bruce Banner #3:

Lots of bud sites here, canopy turned out really nicely. Needs to start fattening up

IMG_20190904_181320.thumb.jpg.713d14ba0aa61773aec5479f76a5e1f0.jpg

Seedsman CBD Critical Mass:

I have a bit of a soft spot for this plant and have since the beginning. Really eager to try some of the bud, meant to be a 1:1 ratio of THC : CBD although potency is on the lower side at around 8%

Not a lot of bud sites but the colas are well sized and are starting to fatten up. Smell is getting good, very pleasant although very different compared to the Bag Seed.

Bruce Banner #3:

Tall plant and looking a little lanky still, although I have no doubt she will start filling out and fattening up nicely soon. From the same batch of seeds which @Master_G has been growing, his are a bit older and looking superb!

IMG_20190904_183451.thumb.jpg.04ef2f3513f80cdbd5818f580025ad0d.jpg

IMG_20190904_183558.thumb.jpg.d774a1e32b0f5f308d70a725da12839d.jpg

The Bruce Banner also has this double, or perhaps triple budsite mutation which looks cool and makes the bud a bit fatter - curious to see what happens towards harvest time and how much of a size difference there is etc.

Grandaddy Purple x Bruce Banner #3

There is a grape scented pheno which I hope I have, although so far it is not looking that way. There is still a bit of time though. @Master_G and @greenkush have ended up with this pheno from the batch of seeds, hoping I am not left out. haha

nice first grow! you really do have green fingers👍 that GD purp (one of my fav strains) (edit, i see its the BB that has mutation not the GDP), has a highly sought after polyploid mutation, same thing that makes master kush, master kush! just beware budrot & WPM, because they are so big & dense they are susceptible.
