1 main switch vs 2 seperate veg & bloom switches

Hey guys,

I found a really good valued COB LED oversees but there is one thing 'pulling me back, me back' from looking at buying it... It has one main switch which turns the entire thing on instead of 2 separate veg & bloom switches.

Is this a problem?

LED spec: Full spectrum - 56pcs Double Chips 10watt Bridgelux/Epileds LED Chips + 2pcs x20w CREE COB

Its something I was debating and doing quite a bit of research on and I was deciding between 3500k or perhaps even two separate lights for veg and flower or adding extra blue or extra red and after more research decided just to go for the 3000k lights.

Go take a look at my two grow diaries (the normal one and the indoor grow odd one), they've all been under the 3000K light only. They're very bushy and not stretching at all, very healthy looking despite the few mistakes I've made with pH and such.

The amount of blue light needed is really not much at all. I personally feel purchasing a 4000k light is a waste as its not needed for veg and isn't ideal for flowering either.

During flowering is when the plants need the most intense light anyways and they want more red than blue spectrum then.
