Bos
Morning 420SA 29.09.19 Pre-soaked the beans in tap water for 18hrs.30.09.19 Transferred to pads for germination. Using a heatsource to assist as ambient temps are a bit low. Lekker Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Bos
Morning 420SAGot some tap root action happening this am. The Big Cookie Birds exploded with vigour in comparison. Good signs02.10.19 transferred to 10lit bags for eventual sexing. There after 30lit final bags or maybe 60lit pots (Also playing with the idea of transplanting into soil...)Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dank
Awesome, looking good @Bospatrollie2 ! Good luck with the grow! Super stoked to see my genetics getting grown out! The GiantCookieBird beans are a bit fresher than the KushCookies, they are some of the hungriest plants I have had so far.
Bos
Awe....All 6 Giant Cookie Birds have broken the surface. But seems 1 or 2 are struggling, had to assist by manually removing their seed caps.Hoping for the best after some rain water.Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dank
My plants seem to make solid beans, I have the issue with seed caps staying on now and then. Not sure if this is a genetic trait or something to do with the way I grew them. Feel free to cull those if they continue to struggle, sorry about the stress, I hate it when that happens! Bos
Morning 420SA, Cookie Birds are spreading their wings. Defs the fastest growers of the bunch at this stage.Unfortunately we lost one, seems to have damped off.(bottom right)They have also only had rain water so far.Se la vie.Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dank
Nice looking seedlings there @Bospatrollie2 , so long to the fallen soldier! Didnt call them giants for nothing, they are also some of the hungriest seedlings I have ever met, be ready to give em some chow when they show a def or yellow a bit, these babies GOOOOI! Happy growing bro, peace and buds
Bos
Howzit greenfingers, The Giant Cookie Birds are doing awesome, still in the lead with growth rates. Yesterday they had some AACT and this morning some rainwater from the Jojo. Did notice some insect munching activity, sprayed some Margaret Roberts (B.Thrungensis-for worms) and followed up with an Ecobuz pestpro product (Beauveria bassiana-for mites/aphids)Cheers vir eers.Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Bos
Good afternoon growbies, The Giant Cookie Birds are growing well and are still the most vigorous growers of my bunch.Suspect the tallest one to be a boy although none of the 5 are clearly showing gender yet.Been keeping them hydrated with AACT and rainwater. No nutes yet.Keep it growing.CheersSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Bos
Howzit 420SA,The Big Cookie Birds are doing their thing. So far we have 2x girls for sure, they have been planted out and seem to be settling well. Gave them all a dose of AACT to help with stress and ease the transition. The ladies formed a good rootball in the seedling bags. They should take off like veg rockets in the rich medium.Keep on puffinCheersSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Bos
Morning 420SA,Mr Danks Cookie Birds are flying the coop...hahaha. Bloody vegging rockets. Doing some serious topping to try and keep them in check. Seems so far we have 3 confirmed ladies, the 4th plant(last 2 pics)seems a bit shy to show its bits but transplanted it anyway and hoping for the best. It has a slightly different colour than the other plants- more blue-ish.They loving the seagrow, molasses/epsom feedings and the AACT is keeping the rootzones happy. All good cheers vir eers. Bos
Howzit 420SAThe Giant Cookie Birds are doing great.Ladies have stretched quite a bit and they are quite hungry and thirsty compared to our other plants. They are the first to start drooping in the greenhouse. We put one lady into mother earth and she has handled the transfer very well. Very exited to see what she does. They lovin the Seagrow and molasses feedings, but even more so the apple/banana and moringa smoothies.Keep it greenCheers vir eers.Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dank
Looking OSSUM @Bospatrollie2 ! Stoked that she earned a place in the ground now she can flex and show you what she s capable of, dont be afraid of training her for more width if height is a issue, going to reach for the stars! Working on tall plants is difficult, but if u decide to go tree style, be sure to get some BIG stakes for support, or cage it mendo styles. Thanks for all the effort Bos, enjoying your diaries a lot Edited December 8, 2019 by Dank

Bos
Morning Greenfingers, The Giant Cookie Birds are growing well and are by far the most voracious plants in the greenhouse. Got some serious terps coming off the sticky stems, from a sharp, herby, zambucky scent on one plant to a spicy cinnamon and sandlewood on another. The outdoor lady has survived some nasty weather and still looks awesome. I'm feeding the outside girls same as greenhouse. Seagrow and molasses in between their tea's Topdressed all the plants last week with an enriched compost mixture to add organic volume and help with water retention. If the stem terps are anything to go by, the buds will be really tasty. Here's to quiet optimism. Cheers
Dank
Looking majestic there @Bospatrollie2 , by the sounds of it your ladies are going out some of those Cookies terps, the cinnamon one could be a bit like Bodoir biscuits in a jar, or like some Cinnabun With your growing methodology the flavor profiles will be nice and dank, and hopefully very enjoyable smoke. Bos
Merry 2020 ppl Mr @Dank Cookie Birds are doing well. Tall, hungry and thirsty trees....just got a lekker growth flush going. Headroom may become an issue at this rate as my 2.4m ceiling is not far off, worst case they'll have to finish up outside. They still snackin on seagrow and molasses, with some epsom for good measure. Did another compost topdressing to help with moisture retention and organic volume. So far no serious defs, just trying to keep a close eye, suspect I'm going to have some rootbound issues so we prepping some 60lit tubs. Keep on puffin Cheers
Dank
Lovely @Bospatrollie2 I dig how she is opening up making thinner bladed leaves letting the sun into the lower part of the plant. They are really thirsty plants, you could mulch with some dried straw, will help to retain a lot of moisture as well as some microbial benefits. Their mom lived in a well mulched veg garden happy growing man, hope they make you proud.
Bos
@Dank. They growing well and like you said....hungry and thristy. Relocated the tallest lady (1st pic prev post) this morning to a more accommodating 60lit tub.Gently pulled her out like a solid slug of roots and straight into her new home.Don't like transplanting large plants but it had to be done. She'll slow down for a day or 2 and I expect a strong flush of growth.Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Dank
She is going to love that 60l home, I'm sure she will take it in her stride, and luckily about midway into flowering she'll start drinking a bit less Looking forward to seeing these gals flower man! Bos
Morning 420SA Mr Danks Cookie Birds are doing grand. The plants are growing well and handling the heat like champs. They lovin the Seagrow, molasses and epsom- reckon these hungry ladies would feed three times a week if they could...hahaha. (thinking hydro dwc) The greenhouse girls look good but I think they need to go outside, they like wild things....need freedom. You can clearly see the difference. The lady in the 60lit tub has recovered well from the transplant and is showing some fresh new growth. But personally, think the lady outdoor in the earth is looking the best, very beautifull, happy plant. Can't wait for the forest to start flowering. Cheers
Dank
They are like wild things couldn't have said it better @Bospatrollie2 , I hope they are a joy to grow my bru! The origins of the mother plants are a mystery, but could be from some of the Caribbean islands, the guy that blessed me with the seeds did not really mark them (collection from his travels). They have only grown in soil by me, the seeds were also made with their roots deep into the soil. I posted a pic of one the moms on my introduction thread here, if you want to see your GKB's parents
Bos
Evening gromies, Mr Dank's Cookie Birds are doing too awesome. The plant in the ground is growing really well and looks to be in the pre flower stretch.(pic 1 middle plant) One lady's stretching has become an unstrategic problem, hence the unplanned training.(pic 2) With the pot she was reaching well over 2m and was becoming too visible. Wasn't keen on digging holes in the lawn. The next 2 girls in the greenhouse are about 1.8 and 2m tall. They all got some fishy goodness when I cleaned out my koi pond filters. Otherwise still on veg feeding with Seagrow, molasses and epsom. Alternating with AACT(with seaweed FPJ)and clean rainwater. Sprayed the ladies down last week with Margaret R for worms and caterpillars as the butterflies were too abundant. Cheers
