Nimzowitsch
Hi AllHoping someone can shed some light on this. A friend was tested at work for THC, the result was positive and he was declared unfit for work and has to return once a week to test, only once the person has tested negative will they be re-instated at work. This was a few weeks ago. Since then he has not smoking/ingesting at all.For the first 2 weeks, there was a decline in the concentration in the amount of THC picked up in the test indicating that he hasn't been consuming. So....resultsWeek 1 - 98Week 2 - 77All good so far.....then...Week 3 - 87. (Not sure what these numbers mean, this is just the results from the lab)Is it at all possible for there to be a spike in your THC level after abstaining completely. Thanks
SkunkPharm
THC is fat soluble so if your friend has excess fat stores it was a possible that it releases over time. But it should not go up. But laboratories can have a variance of 10% on tests and still be accredited.Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk
Breadinator
Maybe your friend started doing some exercise? I skimmed through the following which suggests that there is a THC concentration increase in blood plasma after exercise or starvation, due to release from stored cannibinoids in fat cells. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4270258/ Edited October 4, 2019 by Breadinator

Their method of testing is a bit flawed unfortunately... Ultimately they (work) do not care though.

I don't know how they are getting fast results... Surely police men would be using this ground breaking testing method to convict us helpless growers?? Labs are pretty quick in terms of results, you can walk into a Lancet now and pay cash for whatever tests you want done and most of the time you will have results ready within 24 hours. I am not sure what facilities police use and then you are generally testing a specific substance, I assume you are referring to if they take some "drugs" from you and need to send it for testing to confirm what it is? Nimzowitsch
Thanks all So, when the piss test is done, it provides an immediate positive or negative result. If positive, it's sent to the lab where a few days later they report an amount. He has been exercising and detoxing like crazy since the initial test in the hopes of getting a negative result quickly.
420sake
That so sucks - what if the dude claimed being a medical candidate? Fork - its time the fat bastards get this herb decriminalised and released for consumption in general. A lot of sick folks out there...
PsyCLown
Imagine if alcohol stayed in ones system for as long as THC does. I wonder how different the laws and rules would be. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
highchome
I don't understand how this is legal? I wonder how the CCMA would rule in a case like this. If you are allowed to use cannabis according to the high court then its not possible for a business/contract to remove that right?
Stinger96
It will depend on the work environment. But yeah they can and will...
