highchome
Starting     Germination was a bit slow, probably thanks to colder weather that I was expecting so I did not keep the seeds warm. Two have germinated and have been moved to jiffys and I've put five more back into kitchen paper after scuffing them a bit more. Dank
Best of luck with the grow @highchome , subbed The beans are 2017/2018 stock and they do seem to take a bit longer to pop. Very nice taproot, ready for business!

I gave the seeds a good scratching yesterday (sandpaper & scissors). Three of the five have already popped and have a ~2mm root and one more that has just started to show. I don't usually scratch seeds this much, but it certainly seemed to work!

I think that is a very nice tip for these fat indica type of beans. I will be sure to do some scuffing on the beans when I pop some staunch indica hybrids. The power contained within a seedling is quite a lot, given enough time in the soil they usually bust that hard shell open. Some seeds (not sure about weed) have enough atmospheric pressure to germ and crack cement. You are off to a wonderful start man, thanks for the updates, happy growing! highchome
I'm very low on space so I only kept four of the seedlings. One did not make it, and one of the remaining three stretched like mad. I've moved them closer to the light now so that should get it under control. Other than that all going well. (kak photo, sorry)
