Oolong83
Just noticed my one led light not lighting up fully. Any thoughts on why and how to fix? @PsyCLown @Dank @CreX if remember correctly you guys build you own lights so maybe you got sum thoughts here plz. 1
PsyCLown
You'd need to see how it's built. It could be that the board is divided into sections and each section has its own power supply, like the Nova led lights. Could be quite a few things though. Dank
Hi @Oolong83 , I am super noobish with LED's, just learning, hope to get some time in the future and try my hand at diy-ing one or two 50w lights. Is it possible to contact the manufacturer of the light, via email or phonecall, perhaps the shop u bought it at could be of assistance. Sure @CreX and other LED wizards will have some input as well. peace and buds bro goooodluck with it
PsyCLown
If it has a warranty then see if you can't get it swapped out, but chances are you won't have a light for a few days.If no warranty, then you'll need to investigate yourself most likely. Ill_Evan
If there is a warranty I would first contact the shop you got it from. If no warranty, pop that sucker open and check the obvious; loose connections, obvious signs of damage, burn marks etc. Hopefully it's just a loose solder connection to that side of the board. 3
CreX
Yea, depending on your DIY skills and if you have a multimeter. I would send it back to the supplier if it is under warranty, they will repair it or exchange it hopefully.. If that's not an option.. Then open that bad boy up!! Maybe it is just a loose cable and then it's sorted... Can you take more pics? I can see something is wrong... But I need more pics. I doubt it's the actual LED panel... It's more likely a faulty driver in the unit... Each led panel could have its own driver like the nova lights. Let us know!!
growopz
Def the driver. It's pretty easy to fix, but requires either a 600mA or 900mA driver replacement, and you won't know what until you open it up.
