1000Hills Nursery
Gents... Strain: Wedding Cake S1 Breeder: Phenofinder Seeds Mutation: 4way branching at nodes. This plant sprouted and grew fine at 1st. After 1st topping that's when the mutation appeared. The plant itself has great structure and is one of the most vigorous plants I've grown to date. It has countless tops on thick stems. Has anyone experienced this mutation? Did the plant throw any nanners? Was quality compromised with the extra yield? This is my 1st time growing an S1 so I have no idea how stable they are especially when you throw a mutation in the mix. Btw only one mutation out of 5 pack. And for those that don't know S1 = Self-pollinated Peace
PsyCLown
That is a polyploid mutation, I had it on my Bruce Banner which I recently harvested, although only on one branch. Apparently it is sought after, my BB was not self-pollinated though. I did notice that the bud from the Polyploid did not grow in the same manner and swell in the same way - other than that I did not really notice any cons. THe pros is that the bud is ab it bigger, but due to the shape as opposed to it just growing larger. Keep it, perhaps even clone it.
1000Hills Nursery
Polyploid mutation seems quite interesting but don't think it's the mutation I have. This mutation is called whorled phyllotaxy. I've taken a few clones of this plant. Some from lower on the plant that didn't exhibit this mutation and some clones that already exhibit the mutation. I just hope this plant doesn't seed my garden and becomes a rare keeper that I can share with my cannabis family. Today is officially Day 1 for this plant. CreX
I have one of these in my garden at the moment too... A Chocolope saimese twin mutation that looks exactly like your whorled phyllotaxy. I just hope mine is one sex because it has 2 taproots
