Jono101
Hey guys so i have a quezzi i bought a mars tsw 2000 light and a grow tent combo, i installed it all to discover either the tent came with two little holes in it or i made them while setting it up, which is defos possible. i just ductaped them, they were less than R1 coin size, bleak but thats life. My main question though is when you touch the LED aluminium housing you get a shock, i only read afterwards that you mustnt touch the unit. Now is it normal that i get a shock when i touch it or the hooks it hangs off? I thought you mustnt touch it because it gets hot. I phoned the guy at the shop and he said its normal lol. So my ocd has the best of me, dont want my garage to burn down tonight. If anyone can fill me in that would be great
Prom
Not that I am any light expert.. but to my knowing, the cooler shouldn't be connected to any current. My TS3000s don't shock you at all, just warm. You also get shocked when you touch the driver power unit? BnB Gardens
Dude the electrical appliance is shocking you.......? It's very evident that the unit is not working properly if you get shocked by touching. I'd be more concerned if the light shocks you, when its not plugged in
1000Hills Nursery
@Jono101 Check the supply cable(the cable you plug into the plug socket) has an earth wire(generally green with yellow stripe) connected to the heat sink and the plug top. It could have come loose etc. It's an easy addition should it not have an earth. This will ground any current leakage and stop using you as a conductor... TheUltimateNoob
The metal heat sink isn't grounded. I suspect there's a stray charge somewhere that finds a ground whenever you touch it.Not sure if this is just because of how the light is made or if its defective.Sent from my POCOPHONE F1 using Tapatalk
