Not sure if it's called that.

No the stability is not due to a males absence. Stability isnt guaranteed or a given for any fem generation. Its bred for.

At best the only advantage you are drawing from with fems is that Hybrid vigor that an F1(or in this case S1) inherently has. Other than that fems are pretty flat Ito their expression.

I dont store pollen at all.

@Totemic thanks for putting me right.

And even this isn't a solid promise. Hybrid vigour would only show in a small percent of that generation. Is that right?

Another thing to consider with these fem seeds that are mass produced and then re-branded is the selection criteria used. Potency, vigour and yield take a back step when you are trying to make enough seed to pay your salary. The plant that you choose to reverse needs to be able to produce lots of viable, non-hermie pollen, so that you can keep the seed banks fully stocked.

If it's a genuine S1 hybrid(Neither parents are F1(S1)), that vigor should be present in practically every plant. It's when it's a poly hybrid, and S1 onto an S1, gives you a mixed bag.

Had a ride out to the farm this morning for a visit.

This winter hunt is almost at an end, and I'm really happy with how these girls have survived the winter. They are small but beefy plants. This has been a great run for cold and wpm resistance selection. 3 of the girls clearly stand out to me, and will be left to reveg to clone from.

The spring run is around the corner, and I'll be doing male selections next.

Went out to the farm again today. All the chocos are kicking into reveg mode. These are going to be monstrous. They are starting the season with stems thicker than my thumb.

There is this one pheno though that is going to carry the F5 generation.
