..and so we come to our first little hurdle! 

I made a mental note this morning to triple check whether taping up the power indicators on both the Sonoff switch and heater would prevent any internal light leaks within the tent. 

Turns out the tape did sweet nothing. Popped an eyeball into the tent and not only could see the light indicators shining right through the plastic, but the heater itself glows surprisingly bright from the heating element. 

Temperature during the day should be fine now though, so I'll just run the lights as planned during the night and lights off during the day, and just remove the entire heating setup. Should also save me a couple bucks on electricity. Luckily it's only the first dark cycle so zero harm done. 

I will definitely need to sort a solution for when I replace the HID lighting with LED, especially for Winter next year. Thinking a heating panel with a Sonoff switch should do the trick. Got plenty of time to sort that out. 

Other than that, I've cleaned out my carbon filter and need to replace the pellets. The old pellets were doing nothing for the smell after a year's worth of cleaning my air

I swear, I'd be lighting up my neighbor's house like a Christmas tree if I didn't keep these curtains closed while I opened up the tent at night 

Anyways! Did some more all-round trimming, mostly just chopping big fan leaves and exposing bud sites. 

 

 

 

I also decided to go ahead and do that little panel heater project. The tent is getting to about 14C at the lows and I want to bump that up closer to the 20's. I've attached a standard Goldair panel heater to a wooden frame and just slapped the Sonoff onto it. Call it a day.

 

 

But what of the power led's on the heater and the Sonoff? Well I've covered the heater power led with ye olde duct tape, and the Sonoff now lives in a sock.

The defoliation seems endless. These girls always bounce back so quick though. Starting to see some preflower beginning to form.

I donked up a bit and one branch seems to be competing more than the rest on one plant. The rest are coming out pretty sweet. I don't really feel the need to attempt further LST on the rogue branch. The stems are super strong as intended so I'll take that over a perfect flat canapoy. The SCRoG net will sort that out in future. 

Otherwise the outside plant is doing swell as well. Loving the structure so far.

Those stems are very good, as mentioned previously, and I'd be extremely pleased with that grow.

I did designate which branches I wanted to keep and removed plenty of fan leaves, but not nearly as much as the DWC plants  doing the different styles at once really shows what a difference your technique can make.

You skip the 2nd nodes because they grow vertically and not horizontally. 

It's the Nebula method that @TheUltimateNoob would also like to incorporate.

I really like your grow and definitely have to go with the same training I have been, but remove the lower bud sites as you have done and just all on top at the light zone and bigger buds, less, but bigger and juicy ones.

I'll miss the mainlining style, but I seriously need to focus on yield next  can't keep running out of stash midway through a grow again and again.

I'll be creating a mother plant from a selection of 8 plants of the same strain, keep the mother in a veg tent, and use clones in the flower tent which I will then use the SCRoG method to get as much as the tent filled as possible. 

Probably do the 8 plants in 40L fabric pots to allow for as much veg time as needed. Otherwise I would have done 12 plants in like 20L pots with a shorter veg, but I foresee that would be illegal now if the bill passes in it's current form

Nebula method is a beast.

 

I've done it to my Blue Dream which was my first proper Indoor harvest... It set the bar so damn high for my expectations and standards now that I refuse to grow any other way.

 

My latest development is flippen weird though. One of the branches on the Inzane self topped and it threw my entire training off... This was before I snapped it... Oh yeah she recovered from the snap as well.

 

I'll show you guys when the light comes on... I don't know how to continue doing what I want to do

Would be interesting to compare a scrog to a mainline grow.

When I upgrade my space I'll be running 2 or 3 trees in flower at any given time.

I'll flower all 3 together for the first run, we can check the harvest compared to ScrOG. Not anytime soon though. Still need to get my light.
