Toby
Hi guys, I have question wrt calcium magnesium nitrate thats commercially available at hydroponic stores. Does CalMag+ contain any salts that will negatively impact on microbes in living soil? I want to supplement my RO water with CalMag+ but afraid I might be killing off microbes. Any input on this matter highly appreciated.
Guest Maxwell
It shouldn't. But that being said you shouldn't need to if your soil is happy. Also look for pH lock-outs around cal/mag. High P or low N etc can affect the uptake, sometimes deficiency isn't a lack of one thing but too much of another.
