Scoobydoob
Title: First indoor grow , growing Nirvana genetics White Widow ,Girl Scout Cookies ,Master kush and was gifted a revegged clone of Fruit spirit (white widow x blueberry) by royal queen seeds in coco perlite , under 400w HPS/MH I also have a supposedly swazi gold bag seed that is still growing from the test run I ran. Medium: Coco coir and perlite at a 80/20 mix Size of Grow Area and number of plants: 1.5m x 1.5m x 2m , and 4 to 5 plants depending on if i keep the swazi gold bag seed plant Lighting: a dimmable 400W electronic ballast with MH/HPS in a cooltube Pot Sizes: starting in seedling pots and then transitioning to 10L bags for veg and 20L for flowering Nutrients: General Hydroponics Flora trio , and a mix of epsom salts and part b hortimix at a ratio of 4:5 Plan for the grow: Planning on mainling and LST on the plants , the fruit spirit im going to take clones off keep and let the mother grow throughout summer when it gets a bit warmer. I currently have the light 30 cm from the germinating seedlings and dimmed downed to 200W, and the beach sand is for the fungus gnats that i encountered during my test run .Thee grow i tried to do as cheap as possible as little project to keep me busy during lockdown , but hopefully i grow out some beautiful trees The revegged Fruit spirit clone ^ The swazi gold bagseed at day 16 The seeds germinating in jiffy pellets^ The newby setup , I decided to not vent the hot air out of the tent as the temperatures are low but will do so when the temperatures get warmer , i do have a fan blowing the hot air out of the cool tube though .

Scoobydoob
-Grow update- seedlings sprouted from jiffy's, so placed them into the coco perlite . Was worried about putting the seedlings under the MH dimmed to 200w so replaced it with a 85w cfl till they are bigger. The temperatures are ranging from 14 - 18 degrees ,should i be concerned?
Fridge
Happy growing @Scoobydoob. Try to stay above 15 degrees otherwise growth will slow down. 14 degrees won't kill them but if you can somehow raise the temps a bit the seedlings will thank you for it . 1
Scoobydoob
Built a little box for the seedlings to germinate under a 85w cfl , and hopefully keep the temperatures up until they are big enough to go back into the tent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The_StonedTrooper
Possibly add a fan, small pc fan of sorts for air movement, if you have not already.
The_StonedTrooper
With a CFL half your light is directed up, a sheet of foil or a cut up sun visor, stuck to the roof of the box, if you have enough, the side walls too? Will go a long way

Will go a long wayGreat idea , I have a sun visor lying around .The roof of the box is a piece of wood painted white so Is reflective , but the box is very temporary until they can cope under the 400w full blast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Scoobydoob
Dont waste the foilFoil is only 50% reflective at best and can cause nasty hot spots if it is crinkled ,might spray the box a flat white if I’m up to it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The_StonedTrooper
Didnt know what you had on hand or wanted to do, but yes foil is not the best and the white paint is great. Will be lekker to see your final setup when done Edited August 6, 2020 by StickyD420

Scoobydoob
Update - Mainlined the Swazi gold at 3 weeks And the seedlings are striving at day 4Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Scoobydoob
So I moved the seedling under the 400w MH at day 7 (about 30-40cm from light) and seem happy , the Swazi gold already showing good growth after it was topped The fruit spirit clone I have is really bushing out and showing proper leaves and I’m wanting to take clones off of her and grow those . Just need to go get some rooting powder and make up a humidity dome Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If u started with 50 percent nutez. Keep it that way for the entire week. And only change to 75 percent the next week. They still really young. So dont need too much right now. I only started nutez at the end of week 4. At 75 percent. And now week 5 i have moved to 100 percent.
