why u should always filter an intake

Clean air is as important as clean water/nutes/environment. What kind of fan are you using there Reaf? How does the filter impede the flow?

I moved away from passive intakes a while ago , I use a 6" powered intake with a centrafugal fan designed to work with resistance moving about 400m3  an hour and then a 8" extracting moving about 650m3 an hour through carbon.

On the intake I use batting from the material shop as a prefilter and a hepa and a secondary  filter.

Cheers

Reaf
